I always love when new players discover Garrus’s calibrations. It’s one of the biggest memes of the series and I love it even all these years later. Also sidenote, there’s no need to try to talk to all the crew members after every mission, unfortunately they don’t fave new dialogue after every story mission like ME1. Kelly will also sometimes let you know if someone wants to talk.
I'm surprised no one told him to do Kasumi and Zaeed's loyalty missions before getting grunt. You get the best machine gun and the heavy weapon ammo upgrade that will be very helpful after you get Grunt.

Reading is hard okay
Keep at it early ME2 on insanity is difficult but it gets better once you get weapon and armor upgrades
