Nice collection, I had Tammy, and Pepper, and Tressy. I recently have started to collect again, trying to recreate what I had as a child. My Mom would make all the clothes and had very few store bought clothes. I had skies, and Ice skates as well. Anyway I enjoy your channel very much and you have very much inspired me to get into my love of dolls again. I sew and have been making them clothes. It’s very good therapy for me at this time thanks for sharing.

I mean Barbies beautiful but Tammy is adorable and beautiful and I like that she has a little bit of curve to her. I also think it's funny that her best friend was named Misty and I had a dog that was one of my best friend's name Misty and then wasn't her little sister name that was my sister's dog and my Misty's best friend LOL I just thought it was so funny

The booklets can be a great reference, however there are times when they are flawed. An example would be the first booklets in 1959 show the costume "Roman Holiday" with "RED" OPEN-TOE mules or shoes in the drawing. There are many more discrepancies. The best reference books on Barbie Costumes are the ones by Sarah Sink Ames which are in 2 volumes. She was our table hostess at the 2017 National Barbie Convention in Houston Texas, lovely lady! Keep collecting!
You are so correct the drawing are not always how the outfits came out. But the strangest to me is the Becky doll that posed and put on Francie boxes and was never produced. Thanks for watching.

I met one of the designers from the mid 60's Carol Spencer at the 1998 Atlanta Barbie Convention and I wish now I had asked her more questions. My club hosted the convention and I was an apprentice judge in the competition room, the head of the charity auction, and a dealer in the sales room. Possibly I had too much on my plate?
I just found my 1962 childhood Tammy doll. She's in pretty good shape, clean and great face paint. One of her legs has a small black stain, maybe ink. I'm familiar with cleaning vinyl because of our American Girl dolls, but don't know how to safely clean plastic, and Tammy's legs are plastic. Any tips to try to get the mark out?
binge watching videos of how to clean Barbies and found that nail polish remover, removes , almost any stain from Barbie legs but they are made of rubbery material. To remove ink from cotton or any fabric you use Aerosole hairspray. Put it on a Que tip and test a small area First! NEVER USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER ON A DOLL FACE OR CLOTHING
Love love love them!!! I have a question, My Tammy has frizzy hair especially at the tips. Is it not safe to put human hair products on the doll ? Like conditioner? I read that 70s Cher dolls, it is not good for the hair to shampoo and condition it, but wasn’t sure about the Tammys…
I do it all the time. I especially like Tresemme conditioner. Leave it on till it dries then rinse. You can also use fabric softener in water at let them soak. But I prefer the Tresemme.

The Pink top/blouse I mentioned with the ruffles is one in your video 🙂I had the very thick Red Tammy Case but I gave pretty much all of my Tammy things away, even her baton. My Tammy Doll came with a heart necklace.
