  • This Panasonic headset will work with all Panasonic cordless and wired phones. This is an original Panasonic headset and since most 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapters do no work with Panasonic cordless phones, I made this video so others can find a great, reliable headset to use with their cordless phone. It has Comfort-Fit. It is a foldable headset with a flexible, adjustable, noise-cancelling microphone. This headset has its own volume control as well as a mute button. The KX-TCA430 is a reversible headset and has a cord clip included. The connection is 2.5mm auxiliary plug that will fit any Panasonic cordless phone. Despite other reviews, it will not slip off your head. It is adjustable to your head size and the soft, bendable plastic molds to the shape of your head.

Very helpful... told me more about it than any written reviews did. Looks exactly like the headset I have now that isn't a Panasonic... has all the same features my current one has including a flexible microphone which I absolutely love. Panasonic phones are awesome... I love the headphone jack facility... I've been using them for nearly 20 years... saves achy arms and you can get things done while chatting to friends and family. Thanks for the help!😎👍

I couldn't agree more with everything you've written. As hard as it was to find a headset that would work with Panasonic cordless phones, I'm very happy this is the one that actually works (as opposed to one with fewer features and less comfort). Luckily it wasn't some basic model. The adjustable mic boom is a very underrated feature that is extremely useful. Even the mute button that must be pressed down vs. on/off has come in handy. The Panasonic headset is lightweight and very comfortable as far as one's head and ears. I appreciate your positive feedback btw. Thank you for writing!

I have a Verizon one ear headset that works with my Panasonic cordless. But after many years, it doesn't work anymore so now I'm looking for another one.

I don't think you can go wrong with this original Panasonic headset for Panasonic cordless phones. I really can't say anything bad about it. It performs well, it's very comfortable, it's adjustable on the head and the mic boom is adjustable too (which is way more handy than you would think). If the headache of finding a compatible headset for your cordless phone weren't enough, even if you find one, I doubt it would be better than the Panasonic KX-TCA430.

Thanks for the video. WHere can I find a list of current Panasonic cordless phones with headset jack?

Unfortunately there is no list of Panasonic cordless phones with a headset jack that I'm aware of. I spent hours and hours cross referencing websites, blogs, on-line reviews, store websites, going into physical retail stores, etc. to find phones with headset jacks. So many of the reviews were inaccurate (including some replies from the company itself claiming certain models had one), and a lot of the blogs, etc. had stale information. When I finally found a good model, I made a video to safe others time, money, and frustration. Here is a link to my RUclips video with a link for the Panasonic phone in the description: ruclips.net/video/ORWs-Yd2WgI/видео.html

The answer is at 1:51 you are holding a 3.5 trrs cable and a 2.5 trs cable. You would need 2 adapters firstly a trrs 3.5 to trs 3.5 then that would need to go into a 3.5 trs to 2.5 trs then into phone. Peoples who have made it work are probably using TRS earbuds unlike your TRRS ear buds.. Tip ring sleeve is one side earpiece and one mic. Tip RING RING Sleeve is left and right side ear piece and mic. If you wanted to avoid radiation you can buy the fbi style rubber tubing 'anti radiation headset' that sends audio up the clear tube to your ear from a driver theyre $3 from china.

Thank you for explaining TRS vs. TRRS with regard to headsets. In the case of the traditional mobile phone ear phone and mic set not working, it wasn't just a case of only hearing in one ear. As I recall, it didn't work at all. I could be misunderstanding you, but as it reads, using the TRRS to TRS adapter would only add the ability to potentially hear out of both ear pieces. It wouldn't change the compatibility. As I mentioned, I couldn't hear out of any ears- it wasn't a case of just hearing from one ear instead of two. Either way, the Panasonic headset turned out to be way more comfortable and suitable for my purposes. I got there the hard way, but it turned out well for me. That's interesting info re: the "anti-radiation headset". Is that a bluetooth headset? Thank you!

Be nice if you had plugged the damn thing in

So I know for future videos, how would plugging in the Panasonic headset into the cordless phone help you or others? I assumed at the time that everyone watching will have at some point used a plug and jack- be in on their mobile phones (before ear pods), on an MP3 player, a CD player, a Walkman, a computer, etc. etc. Did you just want to see me plug it in to prove that the Panasonic headset plug actually fits into a Panasonic cordless phone? I don't think you missed much by not seeing me plug it in, but again, I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Perhaps I can help after the fact.

RUclips does not allow external links, but look for Amazon product # B07SP8TNCZ, "Headphone Earpiece Jack Adapter Cable for Cordless Phones: 2.5mm Male to 3.5mm Female (for Smartphone Headphone) Cordless Phone Hands-Free Headset Adapter" for $7.95

    • @efficientway

Thanks for that. Have you tried the adapter? According to the specs it would not work for my Link 2 Cell Panasonic cordless phone- KX-TGEA40, but it does work for two phones: KX-TG7875S and Panasonic KX-TGE433B (with different number of handsets). The adapter is certainly a great alternative to a headset and is in fact what I started my search to find. I'm actually happy that my search didn't work out and I ended up with the Panasonic original headset. The over the ear setup vs. ear bud style is way more comfortable and suitable for how I use it. The adjustable boom means people can always hear me (as opposed to having to hold the cord of the mobile phone headsets up to my mouth because the mic is always way too low). The push to mute button has turned out to be useful as well. Either way, for those who have cordless Panasonic phones that are compatible with the adapter you found, this is a great find and I appreciate you sharing it. Thanks again.
