Hi Khader, I am looking to use my Plantronics Headset used for Cisco IP Phone on my PC. The headset comes with RJ9 connector. I want to connect the same to 3.5mm jack / USB which ever is feasible. Can you suggest if this will work?

I am looking for exactly opposite of it... How to use my existing telephone headset in my laptop as laptop doesn't have the same jack. Is there any adapter to do so ??

What about doing this the other way around - convert a telephone handset (RJ9) into a USB connected handset so as to use the old phone handset as a phone plugged in to the USB port of the computer ?

Can this be used on a phone where the handset itself is the phone. Can you still apply the same speaker and mic wiring concept. The headset will be connected to handset in this case. Do you think its possible?

+selwel1 usual handset type phones have different wiring. Just reverse the positive and negative of mic and try

Please interchange the wires of mic and then try. If it still doesn't work then check if microphone is working or not.
