Thank you I successfully updated my laptop's BIOS. It was about time: my version was not even listed on ASUS's website anymore and was over 3 years old!
You think I should update my bios , because I read bios update could be risky and I’m afraid to break my Pc

try format NTFS thn run the procedure. it should not show this time too. But flash it once again with FAT32 format. it will work. =) so you have to basically try twice, 1st try with NTFS, thn try FAT32.

Hello. I have this issue on Asus X550Z where no boot options can be seen. The HDD wont let it.detect.on boot option.
But when i format it using flashdrive the HDD shows, i can even format it but unable to boot om the HDD after it finished.
Great tips on how to update the bios for an Asus laptop. Just one thing - not all Asus will have an option for "Other" non-Windows file. I have an Asus ZenBook Pro UX501VW-XS74T and it had no options for Other. However, there was an updated BIOS file and I was able to update the file in a few minutes.. - Thanks

I have an ASUS k45vm laptop that last year put a ssd drive in the laptop in the original hdd drive location and put my hdd drive in the optical driver location.
Today on the ASUS website I found a new BIOS file for my laptop.
After downloading this file I copied it to usb flash drive and proceeded to update the laptop bios.
I restarted the laptop and got into the BIOS part of the boot screen and selected the BIOS file inside the usb flash memory and attempted to update, after a few minutes update was successfully completed and the laptop shut down after two seconds.
I turned on the laptop immediately.
The ASUS logo first appears and then the laptop turns off and the laptop turns itself on again. The ASUS logo appears and then turns off, the same process repeating itself.
Turning on the laptop also sounds from the hdd side of the laptop.
At the time of displaying this logo, none of the buttons that led the laptop to boot status were working.
The only delete button works that goes to another page where the american megatrends logo is displayed and also the bios version which is the new bios version that is displayed and then the laptop turns off after two seconds and enters the previous look .
In addition, with the push of the boot buttons on the boot screen, the fan speed of the laptop starts to increase as the fan operates at its maximum speed. Please please guide me to solve this problem.the laptop here is very expensive, and my wife and I are very upset about the laptop being damaged and I have no money to buy a new laptop.

I'm having the same model number laptop and I upgraded to SSD this month. The problem I'm facing is boot issue . I have selected SSD for the 1st boot priority option but still it fails to boot sometimes. I have then tried to update the bios. And my wireless network is gone !

great video, just 1 thing. you MUST be plugged into mains power to do it
FS0-FS9 means "File System". So you can copy BIOS file to any disk on laptop or external flash drive.
Bit of a long shot but I've updated to windows 10 but lost sound I've tried some RUclips fix but still not working do you know what the problem might be

Hi, I followed your procedure but now the PC doesn't go beyond the bios. If I save and exit it goes back to the bios. I tried the various editions of the updates but I can't solve it. Do you have any ideas on how I could do it? The PC is f550c. Thank you

How to turn on the asus laptop with bios issue because my laptop doesn’t start and takes quite awhile ( many hours sometimes) to turn on. Obviously I’ll only be able to update the bios once my laptop turns on.

I have my bios severely outdated (v200), and there are 3 updates (v203, v210 and v300). Should I update scaling one by one or only install the latest one? thxs
Only the latest.
One by one .. because every latest firmware or bios update isn't backward compatible...
Just don't do it at once...give it a rest after every update
I'm needing to update bios so the laptop will work with a new battery but the bios update wont work as the battery is below 20%. So I cant charge the battery to update the bios and I cant update the bios so I can charge a new battery.

How is the bios update done if installing an Intel B-970 in an Asus A54C motherboard that been using an i3-2330 cpu? The motherboard number is K54C in both cases.
after entering easy flash now its stuck on "initialize... please plug in battery" thing. I cant do anything. after turn off and on im still stuck there

Hello sir, my laptop ASUS ROG G752VT is having static lines coming on the screen after booting and this problem also comes while working sometimes. I've got an ASUS x55vdr currently have Bios Ver 407 which has the Platform stated in ASUSTeK Easy Flash Utility as X55VDR. I downloaded from the ASUS official website the newer version of 409 but its Platform name is X55VDAS so when it tries to install it through the Easy Flash Utility it comes up with a warning message saying 'Model Name Doesn't Match! !'
My guess is that if I can somehow edit the code in the 409 file so that it becomes X55VDR.409 then bobs your uncle..... or ????? if someone has an experienced fix for my problem then I would be much appreciative.
My feeling is that ASUS has done this on purpose because it's an almost 10 year old laptop.

Hi, my Asus Laptop is not recognising RAM upgrade, 6GB(2GB built in+ 4Gb upgrade). My laptop varient is x552wa E1 6010. I have contacted Microsoft people for that they said, you need to change it via bios set up as other solutions were not working.
check ur laptop maximum ram expendable, sometime ram doesn't support until the laptop not formatted
