I love it when you drive over the camera and show the undercarriage at the beginning of all your reviews it gives a nice overview of all the mechanics and technology put into the vehicles.
This is absolutely the best review of a car I have ever seen. Small things like showing how the brake/ reverse/ caution lights look, to showing how the hood opens. Amazing. Thank you so much. I'm planning on going to purchase this exact model in the next few days, so everything is appreciated
9:01 I just got the 2018 Traverse 3LT AWD. I Just love this bodystyle. Everything just look sleek and sporty both inside and out. All the interior layout is spot on perfectly place in the right spot. Chsverolet really did an excellent job of designing this 2nd gen traverse. This is the proper midsize SUV. Unlike all these other brand suv, they're either funky looking or oddly place features with mediocre features. This traverse has none of that funkiness or oddly layout. It just look great overall both inside and out. The cluster gauge is spot on beautifully layout and just look absolutely gorgeous throughout. Try finding all this in other suv and you'll be sadly disappointed with tons of complication and whatnot. You wont find it in this 2nd gen traverse. Everything made sense and are in their proper place and portion.
First off, love your in depth reviews. It's like going to the dealer without going to the dealer lol. But after reading comments on a few of the different videos you have, people seem to complain about the price. And this is because you usually review high end trims. It's good that these vehicles have all the available features for you to show. But bad because people see the price and immediately get turned away and begin comparing prices to other cheaper models that are not the high end trims. Which isn't fair to the model that you're reviewing. So my suggestion is for you to review the mid level trims so there can be a balance of features to review and a decent price for these viewers. Well thanks again for the reviews! Very well made!
As always, excellent job, Mike! The completely redesigned Traverse is definitely a huge upgrade over the previous generation. Also, that rear-view mirror/camera (first seen on the more upscale CT6) is an astonishing implementation that both looks great, and is extremely usable. It is pleasing to see Chevy taking huge stides towards safety, and style. You should totally try to conduct an In-Depth Look of the Cadillac CT6, as well. I have always been curious as to how it stacks up the new G90. Keep it up, Mike! 👍🏽
Great video Mike! I've loved the Traverse since the first one, hopefully I can soon be able to get one, I've always loved that it's not as big as a Tahoe but bigger than most other 3 rows, perfect for road trips and hauling, this new one is slick! Keep up the great work Mike!
awesome, mike it reminded me of the tahoe video you did. I was looking for something smaller but with everything the tahoe has. i am seriously gonna look into this
It does come with 11 airbags. Even an airbag between front Travellers. It is safe if it runs well. The issue is with the ignition switch that killed over 50 people. Quality of GM products are extremely poor unfortunately.
I’m not saying every traverse is like this but this is my experience. I had a white 2018 Chevy traverse premier All wheel drive 3.6 V6 just like this one. Mine was purchased March 17 2018 and my car was in the shop 2 days later. Every service light on my dash board lit up.... I should of traded it in right then and there... that car gave me nothing but problems I only had it a few days shy of a year I got rid of it 8 days before it would of been a year of ownership I had 3 full pages of notebook paper of problems that “ couldn’t be replicated” when it would go in to be fixed. My car was in the shop the whole month of July 2018 and every time I went to check on my vehicle I was told that they didn’t know how to fix it and the car is not safe so then the dealer didn’t want to give it back to me. I went to 2 other dealers with the same problems and once again they could not fix my issues. My computer was reprogrammed. My car has done many things, when I would start to go from being at a stop light the car would rev very loud and the steering wheel would just shake and shudder in my hand and the car wouldn’t go then a loud thunk would happen and the car would finally go. The lane keep assist would malfunction and when I would be in the middle of the road it would take me off the road and just randomly whip the steering wheel so hard it would knock it out of my hands. I had it on video shutting off while I was pushing the gas trying to merge onto a highway. Another time I was trying to merge and even though I had my car in drive it was locked in 1st gear and wouldn’t go, when I put it in the manual mode to use plus and minus the Letter L on the display just flashed at me and wouldn’t let me change gears manually either. The last straw was when I was driving and my Emergency brake came on by its self. At this point I was so aggravated I went online and looked for a new car and I found a 2019 Nissan Armada.... 10 days later my Armada was ready for pick up at the local Nissan dealer. After I left Nissan I never saw my car dealership since for any problems.
I like what they did with the armrest and the clutter box underneath it. My wife's mom has a 2011 traverse which has no compartment under the armrest. And armrest is really small too.
Why do the higher end gets 7 seats and then the lower end get 8 seats I feel like it should be the other way? And you can't even add a bench seat to the middle in high end ones
When you do that initial "drive over" of the reviews..I wished you'd "drive over" the vehicle your actually reviewing. This 1 looks like a FWD is that correct?
Wow, that is one incredible SUV. The sticker price is a shock. Not saying it’s not worth it, just a lot of money. Car for car I wonder what would be the best deal in the long run compared to the Toyota Highlander. I have a 2008 Highlander Limited with 165k miles with no problems and still great resale value. Will the Traverse be like that after 10 years?
I really wish you would focus on leg rooms in the second and third row by having an adult sit there so we can see how much room there is. Hard to visualize it when the seats are empty
MikesCarInfo Hi! I love watching your videos! I would like to start doing car reviews on my channel too! What do I need to know to get started? How do you get permission from the dealerships to see the cars? And review them?
You forgot to turn back on the automatic lighting control! Lol! It's a pet peeve of mine leaving them off turns them off forever until they turn them back to that on switch.
Very thorough review of the new Traverse Mike, well done! Appreciated the under car view in the beginning. I do have question regarding the Premiere Edition, originally on Order specs Adaptive Cruise would be available on the Premier? Is ACC only available on the High Country?
Website shows ACC on High Country only however a dealer may be able to custom order a Premier with ACC. Sometimes manufacturer websites don't show all options available.
Thanks for the update on the possibility of custom ordering ACC. Consumer reports Review of Traverse labels it an "Notable Omission" for not including Forward Collision Warning & Automatic Emergency Braking on Trim pkgs. other than High Country & Premier. I would also include the omission of an option for ACC on other models "Notable" as well! Honda Pilot offers Honda Sensing pkgs. on 3 models, not just the high end-just sayin.
I would like to see a base model with AWD that is more affordable . Also, could you mention any incentives and rebates available that would bring the cost down?
We are currently test driving a High Country in summit white. It has an air leak in the front wind shield. There is some sort of metallic rattle in both rear passenger doors. When closed the sunroof shades rattle over any bumps or slightly rough pavement. The rattle seems to be coming from the shade latches which are hard plastic attached to hard plastic. Very poor design. When its hot outside the engine fans run, which is normal, but they have got to be the loudest fans I have heard on a vehicle in some time. This might all be new model growing pains, but at this point we are going to wait until GM gets these items sorted before we purchase. For our family this is a perfect vehicle. Its unfortunate that it has these fit and finish issues.
We also discovered that adaptive cruise control is ONLY available on the High Country trim level. It's not even available as a package add on for any trim below High Country. There is about 4k in price difference between a FWD Premier and an AWD High Country. From what I can see the major items causing that delta are the twin clutch AWD system and Adaptive Cruise?? Competitors offer this feature at price points that are up to 10K less. Chevrolet really needs to rethink this. They are overpriced as is and this just makes this vehicle that much less competitive.
You are so right. Subaru eyesight is the best and they offer it for 1995 in most models. The only car I have seen with tons of videos of testing the acc. I love the traverse look. But seriously overpriced. Not to mention GM quality = Junk. I bet they will give you the GM nod on this one too.
MrRjsnowden you're the type of people i fucking hate, always find some sort of fault with a perfectly fine vehicle just to make the car seem like a bad buy, how about you save the bitching for the bitch patrol....make sure to file a bitch report also
So stunning and good looking car, I’m interested on buying 2018 chevy Traverse but i have to see it AT NIGHT. Can you create at night of the 2018 chevy traverse? Thank you
Very good and helpful review. In and out small and big all the part of car was explained. Great. Our family hope to perchase is car. However. It doesnt sell in Korea. Just planning in chevy korea. Your video is kind and easy and detail. If I live in USA, i buy this car though you. Unfortuallty i living in KR south.. Sorry....
Nice vehicle; too bad standard safety features on the $31k Toyota Highlander will cost you nearly $53k on the Chevrolet Traverse!!! WTF GM!!! SAFETY SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL!!!
Nobody said it was optional, it charges more for features, there already is safety features installed on a base traverse, but you can add even more for pay. Think about what you say and maybe support it with some facts.
I hate black color theyre just a heat magnet and gets dirty with swirl marks easily. They tend to fade quicker too in the long run. Overall, this isthe proper size for an suv. This is my kind of bodystyle. Sporty and family friendly comfort.
LeatherandLuxury Cars - How often do you ride in the engine bay? I didn't see anything different than any other brands engine bay but maybe I am missing something so let me know ok. Thank You
Terrible orange peel effect of paint visible at 1:00. How did this get by the quality department. A European brand would never sell a car with such a low quality paint job. This is embarassing for America. We can do better.
All they do at GM design studio's is sit around and copy every other car maker design cues. look at this SUV " a Ford grille and a Explorer 2012-2015 wrap around head lights. GM has no first time designs, they copy every maker by taking a body line from there, a grille from here, and light from there to put their product together. They have no real talent over there at GM; "copy cat car makers!"
Can't u guys come up with your own designs? Always copying Ford. Looks exactly like the Ford explore. Just longer nose. Wish Ford would sue the fuck out of chevey. Sick of all Chevys lies and played actors and actresses.
I’m not saying every traverse is like this but this is my experience. I had a white 2018 Chevy traverse premier All wheel drive 3.6 V6 just like this one. MikesCarInfo i don’t mean to turn people away from this car or make it seem like I’m bashing your videos. I love your videos. Your Nissan Armada video helped me choose that vehicle. But I would just hate to see someone in the same situation I was in with an unsafe vehicle. I’m pretty sure mine was just a lemon. I’m still apart of the traverse owners group on Facebook and I see all these people with 50k miles on their new traverse already and no problems but others have the same problems I did. In my opinion I like Old General Motors from before they were bailed out in 2008.
Wow! one of the best car review videos i have ever seen. Finally someone who knows ho to use a camera. Other youtubers need to study this video!
I love it when you drive over the camera and show the undercarriage at the beginning of all your reviews it gives a nice overview of all the mechanics and technology put into the vehicles.

please Do a Ultimate In-Depth Look Ford f150 2018!!
Six years ago, I will buy a 18' Chevy Traverse.
Can you show the vehicle at night inside and out? I haven't seen one video do it yet
It looks really nice with all black everything and tinted windows.
Hey mike. I wish you can do a Ultimate in- depth look ford f-150 rapter supercrew 2017
Personally, I prefer the smaller GMC Acadia. Handles much better and just feels better to drive and ride in.
I don't really cared much for the moonroof and got me the 3 LT model instead.
I was looking for something smaller but with everything the tahoe has. i am seriously gonna look into this
Very good.Thank you for doing this. Our 2017 seems so last year now. But it does have a CD player.
Very Nice! does this truck come with side curtain air bags? Whats the safety rating for children?
It does come with 11 airbags. Even an airbag between front Travellers. It is safe if it runs well. The issue is with the ignition switch that killed over 50 people. Quality of GM products are extremely poor unfortunately.
Great video! Chevy really missed 2 things tho... panoramic roof (as much as people hate on these) and built in sun shades in the rear windows.
MUCH better than the last generation!

I have rented this car in Orlando. It rocks!
I like what they did with the armrest and the clutter box underneath it. My wife's mom has a 2011 traverse which has no compartment under the armrest. And armrest is really small too.
Like you're car reviews a lot. Thanks you..
Great review! I'm gonna go test drive one of these very soon. Love the new 2018 redesign.
Does it come with heads-up display??
I wish the steering wheel could change as it looks outdated. I hope they change it into the steering wheel that the 2018 Equinox has.
Why do the higher end gets 7 seats and then the lower end get 8 seats I feel like it should be the other way? And you can't even add a bench seat to the middle in high end ones
Wealthier people have less kids.
Malik Johnson The higher end gives the second row the captain/bucket seats rather than a bench, so it's more expensive.
Hi Mike, when will you do one on a 2018 Camry XSE I4 or v6? Thanks.
When you do that initial "drive over" of the reviews..I wished you'd "drive over" the vehicle your actually reviewing. This 1 looks like a FWD is that correct?
Same vehicle. Front wheel drive.
Wow, that is one incredible SUV. The sticker price is a shock. Not saying it’s not worth it, just a lot of money. Well Toyota automatically has good resale value. 😂
one of the best review . i didn't even realize i finnish the whole 40 mins vid lol
I really wish you would focus on leg rooms in the second and third row by having an adult sit there so we can see how much room there is. Hard to visualize it when the seats are empty
Thanks for your feedback :)
MikesCarInfo Hi! I love watching your videos! I would like to start doing car reviews on my channel too! What do I need to know to get started? How do you get permission from the dealerships to see the cars? And review them?

Thank you mike. I was waiting for you one this one😁. Please do a nighttime video 👍
I liked the 1st generation more but this is still nice.

just bought this car
Very nice video! I really like this new Traverse! How does this compare in interior and exterior dimensions to last year's model.
I would like to see a base model with AWD that is more affordable . Also, could you mention any incentives and rebates available that would bring the cost down?
Shane h this is the traverse
Can you please do a video review of the 2017 audi Q7? Thanks
Will the android auto on this head unit allow a wireless connection or does it have to be USB wired?
Jason Maehl usb wired
Talking about the 3rd row around the 9 min 30 second mark. When you said shhh i lol
Good job , and a good channel
A fan from Iraq Baghdad
Is this vehicle not equip for towing?
Thank you 😩 finally a legit review 🤘🏾

It's probably first build issues, always wait atleast 9 months after a new model comes out before buying. That's the rule I always stick by.
+MrRjsnowden Thank you for sharing your experience :)

I was waiting for a REAL review like this!!
So what’s the difference between this and a minivan?
If I drive the car, will the 360 camera still show?
Only under 10 mph
Thanks Mike. Consumer Reports is slacking!
Hey mike love the videos can you do one on the Buick envision that's the car im considering great video as always!!
Can you turn off the auto stop/start? To me its just weird for the engine to turn off at a red light, and I HATE that feature!
Mike, you should Make a video about the Chevrolet Trax 2018...
That mirror camera is one of the most dumb, but insanely awesome things I have ever seen in a car. 😂
Is this car on the market?
Iliana Cruz yes. It is for sale now
Thank you.
So stunning and good looking car, I’m interested on buying 2018 chevy Traverse but i have to see it AT NIGHT. Can you create at night of the 2018 chevy traverse? Thank you
It's Better Then The 2016 Model 😗
GoldieGamez 100 The previous models looked way too much like a crossover. These 18s look like an actual mid-sized SUV.
Mike! you shoul make a video of the Chevy Trax 2018!!
YESS!!! 3RD ROW CHARGER PORTS!!!!!!
Sorry....
Someone owns this car in my neighborhood. I saw this along a driveway, it was a gray one, which was parked near a house that had a 1970s car.
the quality is great.. i enjonyed it. ialso do about it you can look through help with yourself. thank you
Nice vehicle; too bad standard safety features on the $31k Toyota Highlander will cost you nearly $53k on the Chevrolet Traverse!!! WTF GM!!! SAFETY SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL!!!
Nobody said it was optional, it charges more for features, there already is safety features installed on a base traverse, but you can add even more for pay. Think about what you say and maybe support it with some facts.
i may lease one
Traverse or Durango....I can't decide😭😭😭
iTROLLxTHExTROLLZ same but go with the traverse
iTROLLxTHExTROLLZ I already have a Dodge Durango Citadel 2011 Hemi but I really want this Traverse looks so beautiful
I can't stand the Durgano's rear lights all the way across the back. UGLY
there's flooded of soft touch materials
Night video coming soon?
brand new car and it already has micro scratches on the clear coat, that dealer dont know how to clean cars.
CUBEoneVX Yes. I would sew if I could
Líl Nøvì You would sew what? A scarf? A blanket?
this is badass, fuck haters, go hate on the pos you drive because it is much better than what you drive 💪💯👌
I got a Karma Ad. They still exist?
It’s nice car but for money you pay for this car you can buy Mazda CX-9 or VW toureg much better cars this car should be around 30k!!
id rather have this
I know I'm 3 years late, but fyi, the Mazda can't tow. Not sure but I doubt the vw can either. The Traverse can tow 5k lbs.
Can you do a night review on this please
Does it have a CD player?
Hmm, didn't see one. Maybe it's optional.
Most new cars don't come with CD players anymore.
2018 Ford Explorer pleaseeeeee
Really dude? commercials in a commercial? great review though.
You think this video is a commercial? What makes you think that?
I hate it when a car has duel exhaust but not true duel exhaust.
0:14
it is a duel exhaust, it's just more efficient.
Are Chevys reliable yet?
In 2018, yes. They have been proven to be reliable.
52,000 dollar truck but no rear dvd player or radio oh wow

you knows thats intentional and makes that area of paint extremely durable right?
First one to coment
Yay
It look's like a Hearse. God dam Chevy car's are so ugly.
It's a Unibody 😒😕

Thank you for sharing your experience
MikesCarInfo i don’t mean to turn people away from this car or make it seem like I’m bashing your videos. I love your videos. Your Nissan Armada video helped me choose that vehicle. But I would just hate to see someone in the same situation I was in with an unsafe vehicle. I’m pretty sure mine was just a lemon. I’m still apart of the traverse owners group on Facebook and I see all these people with 50k miles on their new traverse already and no problems but others have the same problems I did. In my opinion I like Old General Motors from before they were bailed out in 2008.
