Regarding the gap on the protective material - the AWD versions will have plastic Splash/Mud guards that would help deflect debris. I've seen others videos of RAV's that have them. While the gap would still be there at the rear wheel well, I don't think it will be much of an issue.

Hi, my xle hybrid with the 7 inch entune audio doesn't show all the apps that you showed and also doesn't show up on my app on the phone what should I do
I have a 2020 XLe and it doesn’t have the dynamic yellow predictive lines on the rearview view camera. Just the blue ones like your video. Is there a setting that I missing? Is that a feature the XLE doesn’t come with? I can’t believe in XLE wouldn’t have predictive steering in reverse. Great video. Thank you.
I have a 2019 Rav4 LE. The intermittent wipers are NOT adjustable...it's one setting only. And you have to turn the headlights on and off. There is no automatic headlight feature. Thanks Toyota....for taking me back to 1981. How can anyone make a car these days that doesn't have adjustable intermittent wipers and auto headlights? That's so basic I didn't think I needed to look for such a thing. I like my car, but disappointed in how Toyota cheaped out. Had I known, I would have purchased the next trim up. Honest to Gawd, in 2019, I really need to make sure a car has auto headlights and adjustable int wipers? Do I need to make sure it comes with a horn and an oil filter? Do I need to check to see if it has a radio?
What's stopping me from going for an XLE is exactly the push button start (aside from the nice to haves like power liftgate, dual zone climate control, etc, that means more stuff that could break).
I know you posted this video in December.. I'm probably gonna consider this model to be my new car after my '13 corolla dies on me (Idknow when that'll be). I actually like the this model a lot. Haha.
Does this model have the auto stop/start feature? If so, are they reliable (are they prone to cause problems mechanically)? Where is the button to engage/disengage the feature?
One Question, Does that car usually have a lot of noise? I have one and while I have my foot on the brake it usually makes a noise a bit loud, it's Normal??? thank you great video!
Why won't the windshield defogger button come on my 2020 rave4 LE after its set to come on when I start the engine to warm up and melt snow of the windshield the next day by using my remote key fob but it defaults to a slower fan speed instead of the full on defogger fan speed to melt ice an snow? All 2020 rav4s do this. Thanks. I'd very much appreciate your help. ✌
Bextar636 great for people like me who want to buy a base model and go buy aftermarket wheels and tires, hence the lower price for people on a budget like me.
Bextar636 I think that they look great! Many folks don’t need 19” alloys that absolutely ruin the ride. These are the best wheel covers I’ve ever seen, tbh.
Joshua Rutter yeah but the competition are killing it in the base models, and you can’t exactly count on the reliability here. It has the crappy 8 speed tranny from the Camry. No better than any of the competition. I suggest looking at the 2019 Santa Fe. Much more equipment for the price, it’s bigger and has a better warranty.
@@thedavephan I had the 2019 Camry se 4 cylinder and yes that car was crappy from acceleration issues with hesitation and then I had an issue where one of my tires kept saying low on air but Toyota always says everything is fine 🙄. i do not like all that under body shielding. If you go to rust proof spray your car you have to take that all out, and it's not like that shielding is gonna stop moisture , maybe salt.
The exterior design looks a little better then the previous generation so sales should be good but it has the 8 speed from the Camry which has some issues. Good review but why defend this awkward looking "tacked on" touchscreen that's being forced on consumers? I'm not totally against it but it could have been designed to retract, fold or pivot when not in use or set in deeper into the dash so it would not be so noticeable. I was inside one of these at the local dealer and while exiting the vehicle observed the inner door handle was a long reach which could make exits tricky in bad weather conditions.
john h / 8 speed is fine. Though new for the Toyota division, Lexus has been using it for ten years. The problem is that the one in the Camry was programmed for economy and may be sluggish at times. There has been a software update.
@@cargueone1971 I'm not sure what the software update is for because the Camry and this Rav4 both have Economy, Normal and Sport modes near the shifter. Sluggish shifting is not the only complaint with this 8 speed .

I test drove the 2019 RAV4 XLE today and it was a HUGE disappointment. Can't understand what all the hype is about. The huge amounts of plastic all over the outside of this vehicle make it look like a cheap toy truck. And when you accelerate the engine noise is so loud it sounds like there's a problem. The cargo space is smaller then the previous year and the interior is cheaply done; the infotainment screen is stuck to the dashboard in a very intrusive, tacky manner; there's no Android CarPlay , so you're stuck with a very poor Scout Nav app that gets only 1 star out of 5 in the App store. Toyota is way overpriced for what they give you in exchange. They always drop the ball on finessing details. Just one of many examples, the traffic sign display for speed limit is digital, but there's no digital comparison to actual speed, which is an analog dial off to the right, so there's a confusing visual disconnect. Just one detail that Honda gets right among so many others on their superior interior designs. I really don't know how/why Toyota is so far behind on what the public is getting from their competition. Someone said it elsewhere: "The difference between reliable car and a superior car is in the details; Toyota always settles for 'just enough'" -- And even not that much.
Bought the new 2020 LE version. Liked it until I got it home and found it lacked certain very basic features which cars have. Some folks might not care, I do.
