they released the history music video in 2016 and the promo ended in 2016 that’s why the hiatus officially started in 2016
I think throughout the end of OD it was clear that Harry would like to leave . And there is nothing wrong with that. They needed OD to break up and get on their respective different paths in life .One funny thing stood out for me in your video, really a detail...you ´ve said he was not allowed to paint his nails and there are several videos from the live shows where he has his nails painted black . (I need to find it :)

Definitely not overthinking, especially Niall's part. It seems he’s either in denial or trying to sugarcoat the whole situation. Only after his solo albums did he actually have the chance to shine on his own. Also, thank you so much for shedding light on Liam's situation. Although he was never my favorite, I feel like nowadays, every time someone mentions him, it's always in such a negative way. While I agree he’s done some questionable stuff, like the whole interview with Logan Paul (that "I'm such a scary big strong boy" vibe really gives me the ick), I still think he doesn’t deserve all of this. People aren't really taking into account that each member was traumatized during the time in the band.

Louis' jealousy is partly what made the band break up. According to Liam and Niall, it was Louis who pushed for the band to change genre in early 2014. Liam said he did not agree with it but Louis pushed for it. Why would Louis do that? Louis had a vision of what the band should look like and where he would stand in the band. You have a band member who has issues with the music and yet he pushed to change the genre in 2014. If you watch the video of their tour in 2014, he sometimes refused to harmonize with Zayn. Zayn went up to him once in July 2014 at the end of the song "Moments" and asked him why wasn't he singing, he smiled and replied "I didn't feel like it". He purposedly ignored him during interviews, even Niall called him out on it in their interview with Scott. Julian Bunetta said in his 1D 10th anniversary Rolling Stones interview that there was so much tension in the band, he was just hoping Zayn would last until the end of the 5th album. It is a fact that Louis and his minion Liam are the only member of the band to talk trash about Zayn. Harry purpose said in his Zane Lowe interview that he wrote his music with Zayn in mind. Why? Because Louis and Liam was writing the music and purposely limiting his time on songs.
Then Louis gets on very interview for the past 6 years and talk about how he is mad at Zayn because he did not show up for his show. Lies. He has issues with Zayn from late 2013. He has never mentioned in the past 8 years that the boys were expected to perform at the show but they refused. No. That would make them look bad. But he had no problem trash talking Zayn. "He is not ready to have the talk yet". Ego much? Zayn ever said he wanted to talk to him? He tried to get Zayn out of the band because he saw the band as 4 members. He never expected Harry to leave. Harry lasted 4 weeks after Zayn. He put in for his break in April. It was approved in July. He had the nerve to put on his profile 1/4 of 1D. He meant 1/3 of 1D. As James Corden said "i see 1D as 5". Harry is never coming back unless there is 5. That is what he means when he says he is open to coming back if the situation is right. Out here playing Larries to sell merch and tickets.
You can't put that much of the blame on Louis, and certainly can't describe him as jealous. Louis was the one who wanted the band to stay together the most, and wasn't the only one who pushed for them to change genres or causing tension in the band. Zayn distanced and excluded himself from this drama, as well as withdrawing into himself due to his own mental health struggles. They were ALL tired and overworked, and consequencly they were ALL going to be causing turbulence within the band. They ALL had a vision for the band going forward because and their place within it because they were ALL invested in it. I can't find any proof of Louis refusing to harmonise in "Moments", and even if he just "didn't feel like it", so what? Louis could've easily seen this as doing Zayn a favour and by letting him solo and add in his adlibs as we all the boys knew Zayn loved to do. + Louis and Liam were absolutely NOT limiting Zayn's time on songs, especially seeing as Louis and Niall themselves have the least amount of sing time in all songs in general. Zayn has incredible vocal ability that in a group like theirs could sometimes be better off being used sparingly or in key spots to amp up songs anyway, so it's most likely they knew best where and how to utilise Zayn's voice. Also, NONE of the boys were expected to 'perform' with Louis, but were invited to be there to support his first solo performance and simultaneously invited to mourn his mother, as the performance was a tribute to her. Him saying in an interview that Zayn not showing up upset him is NOT Louis 'trash talking Zayn'. Louis saying that he himself is not mature enough to have a conversation with Zayn shows no ego and is no insult on Zayn. It's clear if you watch any of Louis' interviews that he has stayed very grounded and is a very humble person who is self-aware and has always had more self-doubt than ego, and in cases where he does show ego, it is built positively in his pride for his music and the relationship he's built with his fans. He put in his profile 1/4 of 1D (which is not in his bio anymore anyway) because he is proud of the band and what they achieved TOGETHER. And Harry has never anywhere said that he isn't coming back unless it's the 5 of them and has also said he thinks one day they'll get back together. And please don't insult Louis' career just because you clearly have some bias against him. Louis has achieved great things over the years and proved time and time again to be a beautiful and kind soul with a strong fanbase who love him, and is definitely not 'out here playing larries to sell merch and tickets'.

I think a lot of their problems came from insecurities in general and I also think that when your so high profile and under a stressful environment you sort of begin to snap at one another. I think if there is one thing that I agree with the person above is that Louis did not expect Harry to leave and that by the end of it Harry did want to go but that's it. I just think that Harry knew he could do it. I do agree with everything though because Louis never expected them to break up. Though I think in such a stressful environment and obvious lack of communication did make Liam and Louis snap a bit at Zayn. It's weird because Harry always seemed to be on Zayn's side yet also had some sort of weird animosity towards Louis. I don't know I think 2015 messed with all of them and their relationships. None of them are the bad guys though I can say that much and wether you are a anti, larry, zarry, or simply a Louie fan we can agree they were all overworked and mistreated
@@aksmia123 He put 1/4 of 1D because he had something prove. He was not 1/4 of 1D. By Louis own words, HARRY QUIT in April 2015, and it was finalize in July 2015. HARRY WAS NEVER ON A BREAK. So, Harry was not 1/4 of 1D. What do you think Harry means when he says, "if the situation is right?" Niall on the red carpet was asked in 2018 about when the hiatus would be over and the reunion will begin. His answer was "ask Zayn!". Zayn did not go on a "hiatus", the four of them did. So, how is Zayn involved?

louis is still a household name, but only when harry’s mentioned. niall has done well, trying to make a name for himself but less people associate him as a member of one direction and he WAS the most forgotten member especially within the fandom itself. louis was lucky he had larry stylinson as bad as it sounds, it’s true unfortunately. his name is known and he has successful tours and shows and music despite being “forgotten” as you say. i may be biased bc i like niall a lot, but even i knew his career is kind of just floating around. he and liam and louis all got unlucky with it, while harry and zayn had their names and careers planted quickly :(
