The fact that this is basically Iman’s first actual acting gig is insane. She’s already so likable as Kamala.

Being from a south asian household, i can say she didnt even need to act, its just how life is all the time.
I can honestly say I love Iman the way I love Kamala, which is in a little sister type way and that both must be protected at all costs. Iman has such a bright future in front of her.

@@planetomega38 And did you ever read what I wrote? I said compared to Westeners, especially the whites, Kamala's family is definitely strict even without the canes. Not every Asian parents will cane their child once they immigrated to the West, but their presence is menacing enough to scare children to discipline, like Kamala's, unless you have guts enough to rebel against them.

I'll be honest, at first I was not interested at all on the Ms. Marvel series because of the change on her powers origin story and tought it was a stupid decision but when I heard about the "Reed Richards problem" of both of them having similar powers I let that past. So when I watched this yesterday I tought I was gonna be hella bored but turned out being SO RELATABLE to me. Definetly I'm now on board with Kamala's new power source and how they add the unique style of art and the cinematography. I'm so excited for more!! 😎😎
yes i couldn't agree more! her character is also super relatable to me and the unique cinematography is something else on this series!
The Reed Richards thing is a weird reasoning for the power change tbh (they’re nothing alike, and their powers are only SOMEWHAT similar…and even in the MCU, there are characters who exist with more similar powers). But I do like how Kamala’s being portrayed! Fingers crossed we still get the identity crisis aspect in the show that her stretchy powers were so important for
I always figured it was because stretchy powers are _really_ hard to get right in live action without looking terrifying and straight out of the Uncanny Valley and even though MCU shows nowadays have higher production values than most live action shows they still don't have the same budget as a full on movie like, say, Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness which must have had a massive special effects budget.
I think we can all agree that Kamala and Bruno are a chaotic dorky duo and we absolutely love them for it!

I loved this first episode! Kamala is so relatable and fun! I also really love Bruno (I feel like we don’t talk about him enough, we really need to talk about Bruno…😉) but in all seriousness I love all the characters and think this will be a really fun show

For some reason Bruno reminds me of Keefe from Keeper of the Lost Cities sort of. That won’t make any sense if you haven’t read it, but if you have, do you agree?
@@Celestial_TaterTot no I haven’t but I’ve heard of it. He reminded me of Calvin O’Keefe from the wrinkle in time series, the way he fits into her family. He also gives me Fitz from Agents of Shield vibes.

We don't talk about bruno no no no
Kamala is so relatable to me just geeking about Marvel and other nerdy stuff and just fantasizing sometimes. This show is already giving me Spider Man: into the spicer verse vibes. It’s also made me think there is more to Ms. Marvel’s powers because I know she can grow her hands and herself big, but seeing her shooting some type of crystal type thing is something.
many of us can relate to her and her behaviour and i think that makes the show so special and unique
I can already tell this show is going to be like if you took Shazam, MCU Spider-Man and a Disney Channel sitcom, and just mashed them all together into one.
That Darth Vader line was so funny considering how this coincided with the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi ep 4

I love Iman’s voice! Full of energy, enthusiasm! The opening few minutes of narration by her of Battle of Earth really gave me goosebumps with a big smile! ❤️⚡️

It’s been 4 months huh? Watching this again makes me wanna rewatch the whole show again. Aside from the antagonists, every single character in this show is so fun to watch

I finally watched this show and I love it so much already. I really love Kamala and Bruno and how close he is to her family. It's really cute. I love their friendship so much. Also, does Kamala give anyone else Kate Bishop vibes because of her expressions?

That was hilarious, retconning within retconning, within a retconned adaptation of the original Thanos motivations.

Gabe reciting the lyrics to Reflection was honestly top tier. And Muneeba saying that Captain Marvel’s outfit was tight and skimpy was such a mom reaction.

The first episode was really fun, it has me hopeful for the rest of the series. I especially loved Kamala and Bruno's friendship
I love the fact that I could relate to Kamala on quite a few levels since I'm a brown muslim girl as well it literally made me so happy

Kamala gives off Peter Parker energy
they would be an incredible duo
The two characters are very similar. Both are awkward teenagers with superpowers who idolize the already established heroes (Peter idolized Iron Man and Captain America while Kamala idolizes Captain Marvel).
2 of my favorite parts of this episode were seeing animated variants of Carol and laying out the plan too sneak to Avengerscon, especially since Iman got to wear a down sized version of Brie Larsons' movie costume.

LOL I like the echoing effect in her convo with Bruno and with the annoyed teacher and her narration. Her art reminds me of how MJ drew funny drawings too in the Spider-Man movies.

The attention to detail that Kamala believes the other heroes couldn't punch Thanos in the face except Marvel:
We already know Iron Man pulled this off in Infinity War but that was on Titan and not Earth; Scott Lang was never on Titan. Hence she thinks no one else could do that / has done that.
What's happening in Kamala's plan vs what's happening really (like everyone praising her during dinner in the plan and they were talking abt something else really)

This is hilarious! Just a little tip though: when there is the music in the background and the music from the movie they kinda clash a bit. Not sure if you're doing it for copyright reasons but if you can temporarily stop the music when there is other music it might help
