They hired every other of Indian origin to portray as Pakistani, so why didn't they just hired an Indian brown girl and say she were from Pakistan? 🤔

She is just an absolute bundle of joy. Saw a couple of her interviews and such a nice, joyful personality. Watching folks like her, Simu Liu and their stories of how they got casted is incredibly inspiring. Hope she does incredibly well!
Also shout out to Trevor for another extremely well handled conversation. He seems like such an easy person to converse with that everyone can bring their best selves.

She NAILED the role. The first episode was so well done. I really enjoyed how it gave me the vibes of Spider Verse without overdoing it. The most relatable part was her zoning out. It's just a really well made show.

@@karankapoor2701 This episode may have the best camerawork and editing in the entire MCU (maybe in the entire superhero genre), and Im not even exaggerating, or being over the top... They legitimately did some seriously DIFFICULT and IMPRESSIVE stuff in this. Im still trying to figure out how they did that "jumping out of the window" shot, in Kamala´s imagination (Im pretty sure it transitions from a stunt double, to a CG body, and then to the real actress... But if that´s the case, it´s the BEST CG transition that has EVER been put on film). And that´s just one example out of MANY.
As a brown person living in the States, I am so looking forward to it. Also, props to Trevor Noah for pronouncing Pakistan just like we do and not in American accent. Love you Trevor.

I love how unintimidated she is. And it is so amazing how she has a natural ability to transition from personal talk with Trevor to including the audience. It seems like she grew up doing public interviews, but actually she has no experience at all. It is going to be great to see where she goes with this.

Oh these type of girls are always hated by certain people. They just wanna keep them down by making up things and trying to ruin their careers. Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence all faced these.
Iman is consistently charming and grateful; a delight and a cool shero. Jennifer, not so much. She's a decent actress but is rude and ungrateful to her fans. She even admitted as much, which I found shocking.

Shoutout to those who hate the show or hate the character- because they are missing out on such a great series, and wonderful character. So far, from the first episode, she's terrific as Ms. Marvel and definitely embodies her comic book counterpart. Absolutely cannot wait to see whats in store for her in the MCU!!

Vellani is SO adorable. Confident, thoughtful, and obviously capable of handling herself. Noah interviewing her is a plus because he understands how it is to be a POC and in a new country, culture shocks and all. That gave the conversation room to breathe past the fish out of water/oh, aren't you peculiar zone.
She's extremely likable. It's almost like that's her superpower. Never heard of her before and now I pull for her to one day make it into a Marvel movie.

Watched the first episode and she is perfect casting. Kamala is one of my favorite comic book superheroes. She's adorable. She's everyone's kid sister. You can't help but root for her. And Iman just brings her to life. Like she leapt off the page. I can't wait to see the rest of the series.

I just watched the first episode of Ms. Marvel and it was a delight. My little 8 year old sister was telling me a week ago how excited she was for the show.

She was a great cast for this role. She's young, pretty, not stick thin, and doesn't just represent Pakistani young girls but American girls as well.
I think the show didn't trend as well as other Marvel Disney shows is due to the lack of name recognition. I also hadn't heard of this character before a few years ago.

So I watched the show before watching her interviews and I think she's definitely giving off Kamala vibes. She's straight out of high school so she still has that fresh, energetic vibe about her. Her personality is all over the place but it fits. I hope she branches out from the show to MCU movies in theaters. Then have a great acting career. Congratulations to her, a perfect Ms. Marvel.
I love her. She's so much fun, and I can't wait to see her grow with the character while living out her dreams meeting her favorite MCU actors. Also, shout out to Trevor. So many other late night show hosts would have brought up if they had an MCU connection like Trevor does, but he kept the focus off of him and completely on her.

My goodness the more I hear about her the more I am cheering for her. Having a daughter slightly older than she is I see the teenage sas. Going to enjoy seeing more of her in the future MCU.
I also really enjoyed the art direction & cinematography of the first episode. The idea to turn the text messages into neon signs on the building was a neat touch.
Trevor's genuine laugh about the tom Holland punchline was so pure ✨
My high school had the initial run of Ms. Marvel comics in its library. So I got to read firsthand what Kamran was like in the comics canon, how Kamala met the Inhumans and Loki, all while whiling away the lunch hour. It just feels right that I was exposed to her story at that age.
I love her so much!!! She is one of the best additions to the MCU!!! Can't wait to see more of Miss Marvel!!
