I really have to thank you! My brother has traveled to Lima in a work trip and today he had a free time. After I watched your videos, I told him: you gotta visit Tanta! He went there this night! The Tanta at Larcomar Mall. He drank chicha morada and ordered a dish named jarana criolla, small portions of causa, anticucho, tamales, papa huancaína! He loved the place! And thanks to you with your great videos and travel tips. I wasn't in Lima but told him everything I saw in your Peruvian food adventure!😉😃

marsha bijoy Cut and fry onions with a bit of garlic. Add yellow chili (ají amarillo) liquefied with VERY few water, when the onion starts gilding and wait for a couple of minutes. Add boiled shredded chicken breast, and after 3 ó 4 minutes, add salt, and white bread soaked in milk. You may add to the mix a little bit of turmeric (not too much) on the onions; and, if you need more water, use the one you used for cooking the chicken breast. You may decorate with half boiled eggs and maybe a dark olive :)

The peach and chicken seems like it would be amazing. Presentation on the scallop was nice. I'll take the empanada over the roast chicken and then finish out with the chocolate cake with some coffee. Hard to imagine getting through everything that was on your table.
If you married a peruvian he can cook this food to you every single day !!! Just think about it ! Plus peruvians are definitely friendlier,conservatives, and not crazy "Mama Mia", trios like Americans! .... Each region has it's own tipycal food... Jungle , highland and coast !!!.... but dont get me wrong! American food is good too those pies, oysters , hate your pickles though but theres a shrimp and grapefruit... the original recipe from Irma rombauer!! Its a great American dish !! Barbecues ... Each country has it's own uniqueness... As a peruvian I used to thought that our food is truly awesome but I believe each person grows with his own preferences in each country!! And maybe we peruvians can not do tickets to united states cause ofc its expensive or else we will enjoy the American food! But once again each single people has it's own preferences and unique flavor favorites dishes that loved eating while growing! ... by the way you visited tanta (Miraflores)!! ... why dont you visit Villa Maria del Triunfo - Pesquero - Av pachacutec. The only fishing terminal in that Avenue... the second floor it's where you will find the restaurants and for the prize of your last meal! The green rice with chicken you could have like 4 ceviche... cause miraflores is for tourism ... more expensive !! Dam Villa Maria del Triunfo ... that fishing terminal it's so underrated!!... well have a good one !
I love Audrey's sweater! It looks so Peruvian and comfortable. And the food looks amazing, as always! I've never tried tiger's milk...it looks like an acquired taste but I totally want to try it at least once!

I've never seen empanada with sugar and lemon. I'll be going to Buenos Aires next weekend, do you think they'll find strange there if I order an empanada and ask them for sugar and lemon to put on top of it to see how it tastes? 😁😁 There I recommend for empanadas El Sanjuanino in Recoleta!
it's funny how you call the average choclo "giant corn", theres is actually a giant corn called "maíz gigante cuzqueño" twice the size of choclo's grains. Must try that guys
How many pounds did you earn in Lima that way? Definitely not enough. Try regional peruvian food as well, from the south there is Arequipa, and from the north Trujillo and Chiclayo. Provecho !

You can have an 8/10 lunch with 30 to 40 soles ~ 9- 12 usd, peruvian restaurants in that range of price are so good 🤗🤗
