You should come to the north of Peru, like Piura. The ceviche it's better because we're near of the ocean and the fresh fish. The typical dishes are ceviche, chicharrón de calamar, de mariscos y de pescado, seco de chavelo, ronda criolla, majado de yuca, majado de plátano, leche de tigre, every dish it's simply delicious. Great videos by the way ;)
Guys really love your videos. This time try to catch some Pachamanca (underground cooked meats and vegetables) prepared the traditional fashion. It`s quite an experience!!
an soup from the amazon jungle "Inchicapi con inguiri": made with peanuts, hen, spices..., acompanied with cooked unripe banana... must be eaten hot, good for winter.
Hi Sam & Audrey! I have just finished watching several more of your Peruvian series I really enjoyed the supermarket tour a lot & of coarse I had already watched your really good sushi video Amazon foods was great as well. Love watching your adventures of eating & site seeing. Thanks for taking me along on all these fun adventures! You two stay & continue to enjoy your travels together
What a great video and I’m such a food person and I’ll visit here once in Lima 🇵🇪 from its via Canada USA or Columbia as unfortunately no direct flights
Thank you! The food in Lima is legendary. I think it is our favorite city in the world to eat. A connecting flight from Colombia sounds great. I'd stop over in Medellin in Colombia if you can. It is supposed to be a great spot to visit. We've never been but have quite a few friends who have.
Great food! I never tried chicha morada, this drink interested me a lot 😃 Amazon food is very different (and good!). Here in Brazil the Amazon Region has also some traditional dishes, mainly with river fish and fruits ("açaí", for example, have you tried it here?). I am enjoying this Peruvian tour a lot 😀
Thank you! I would highly recommend trying the chicha morada if you get a chance. It is our favorite drink in Peru hands down. It is so refreshing and delicious. It is much better than having a soda.
:'v Se siente bien cuando hablan bien de tu pais (Gastronomía ) una de las pocas cosas que perú que si vale la pena , Pongan subs a los demas videos xd
Anther great video on your Peruvian journey👍👍 I do wish you guys would've tried papa rellena (one of my favorites), but in all Samuel and Audrey you guys knocked it out the park again.. support and love to you both- Oh an Audreys mom too😁
Yummy. The Amazonian food looks very tasty. Sam I particularly think that a maple leaf on you t-shirt would look much better….. Thanks guys. Next time in Lima I will try that restaurant.
Samuel y Audrey el aji de la selva .es chiquito pero pica mas que el rocoto .el inchicapi es una sopa , la cocona tambien se hace en refresco de la yuca una vevida llamado masato .😛
Thats amazing you went there after your Euro. trip. WOW..Lima is a large city and you can bet theres more restraunts than you can visit..Nice Video..Thank You..
Oh my gosh!!!! You ate chifles... Well chifles are from my city Piura the coast side of Peru.. there are a lot of beaches and the food its more different...and the ceviche!!!! My city reproduce the lemon, onion and we have a big harbour to find fresh fish; you must travel there.... I love your videos.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos oh well we have to biggest plates like seco de chavelo and majado de yuca; I mean it's super flavour taste incredible... many people don't know it too much. In my city you can find a Ronda criolla that basically they give you both of the plates I mentioned with chifles, pork ribs and onion sauce.... we also have a corn drink chicha de jora or clarito.... the fish and the sea food are very important aswell. we have a plate called sudado de pescado.
Parque Kennedy is so great! I had great walks there when I visited Lima. One fruit I found in Chile and Peru was "chirimoya", so delicious, specially its juice. Beautiful dog 😁
Thank you! That park is wonderful and they've even improved it more recently. Ah, we loved chirimoya. We have a breakfast video coming out soon where we eat it in a fruit salad :)
This fruit "chirimoya" is so delicious because was Empire inca delicacy....for that reason exist en another places around of south america....but you know that Perú( cuzco) was the most important places of the empire of the incas ......also,chile and colombia has this fruit because their territory of them belong to empire of the incas !!!
Theres another amazonian restaurant in Miraflores at Av. La Paz 1079 called amaz but i think its not traditionally from the amazon but rather amazon inspired but really good nonetheless
My dogs love sweet potatoes think they can have a little bit of Picarones. Some ingredients like cinnamon may be ok just google. I get raw goat milk for elder cat and they add turmeric and either cinnamon or nutmeg for joints. But thawed from frozen sardines in water no salt is best treat, creates shiny coat as food add on. Do homemade food and sardines a must for fresh oil. Only works if keep frozen and break off a little per meal. Oil for pets must be super fresh.
Yes, skin problems are pain and switching to fresh meat and veggies like rutabaga, turnips really helps. But 12 months following bad news times world energy can drop and make pets have low energy and get health issues. Helps to get them feeling some chapter closing and new start by changing types of meat and veggies with each season. Also use Petalive uti free and kidney drops (pet wellbeing) to keep normal schedule on tract. People used to know bitters from herbs and not work so hard through those down times. Taking care like Audrey's parents is good ambassador for people to see :) Some discussion needed for safeguarding pets as people can easily fall asleep at chores. But long run means you learn to see helpful signs with pets that can be used for human health. Helps remind about monitoring house life when recouperating from daily grind and when cooking eating drinking needs special "celebrations" and medicinal tonics, especially during atmospheric pressure changes with unseasonably temps of heat/cold. Very good investment and saves hospital, elder care bills down the road :)
So how did you guys meet since sam is Canadian and Audry is from Argentina if you guys come to New Zealand You can try traditional Maori food they are the locals almost like Hawaii people they go fishing for there food as well as they have a whole boer wild pig and other wild meat they also go in the forests and get local ingrediants from the forests and they make a huge hole in the ground like a bbq and put all the meat fish seafood and Kumera which is sweet potato and cook it the hole day and they eat everything with Sweet potato so they have sweet potato bread with there food though there arent any local Maori restraunts in Nz you can go on touristy thing were you go on a boat to see how the fish has been catched and they show how the wild food from the forest are found and then they show u how they cook there food and then at the end you and your tour group type thing can eat other then that New Zealanders are british or Scottish the white New Zealanders so most restaurants serve britsh food. Chile imports chirimoya from Peru as we import their kiwis and some kind of apples. Chirimoya is 100% peruvian 😉😁
Not sure about the jungle dinner! But those deep fried plantains look delicious and those fried donuts!
Thanks! They both were super sweet and tasty.
For amazonian food, you should go to Amaz restaurant
Thanks for the suggestion!
It looks expensive, but it worths the price: ruclips.net/video/Gl2ZXsLEEb0/видео.html

Was Audrey's dish made from sweet plantains or the green ones?
I believe it would have been green ones as it was not sweet.
