Awesome my 🇵🇪 you guys should go to Lima every Sunday there something going on and there is a place called " la chabuca granda" where the chefs prepare the traditional peruvian foods is delicius😋 Do you need the vaccine to enter? I can see they are still wearing mask, here were I live you only need in the hospital or some Clinics... Thank you for showing all the beautiful pics of Miraflores, I am planing to go soon, I hope they do not turn me away for not being vaccinated
Of all my years watching you guys, I can't believe we are traveling in the same city and staying at the same area! A bit crazy to be honest, hopefully I can spot you guys around Miraflores! Cheers Guys!
I live in Germany and three vaccines is the standard. If your last vaccine is over 270 days you are no longer considered vaccinated. Most of the countries in Europe are this way. My flight from US to Germany in March, people were denied boarding. The restrictions have decreased a lot in the last three weeks, but we had to show our QR codes (equivalent to CDC card) and our ID to do anything outside of grocery shopping. Anyone traveling should consider getting a booster
Hi guys!!! We went to Peru in 2017, LOVED our time there and went to Punta Azul thanks to your recommendation 😍🤤 we went into Chinatown and had Chifa in Lima! Would love to see you guys go enjoy some Peruvian Dim Sum!
Love this video! So much to congratulate you on...moving, buying a house and now travelling again! Can't wait for the rest of this series. Abuela and Pilar look amazing! Grandes abrazos!!
Your'e here already?? God bless you for choosing my country, enjoy, be careful and have a nice time, it's still early fall in Lima (that means sunny days) and it's not raining anymore in the mountains.
Bienvenidos a Perú, se les quiere, gracias por hacer lindos enfoques de nuestra amada Lima. Me encanto ver la linda Abuelita y esa casa y la buena causita. Dios bendiga su estancia
I was so excited to see this video drop I couldn't wait to see where you guys were traveling to and honestly I don't know Peru so I don't have any ideas or suggestions of where you could go but that's even better for me watching as a viewer because anywhere you go is going to be super new and interesting for me to watch hope to see many more vlogs coming soon much love ❤️❤️
Great to see you travelling again. I really enjoyed this video I feel I know every inch of where you are as I spent few months there in 2017. I know where your apartment is. I was in hotel next door couple of weeks. Same view on the tennis courts and bridge. I know that walk over the bridge to Wongs supermarket. Prior to that I had an apartment other side of Park Kennedy so I walked a lot in the area. I loved the Malecon for evening walks. Loved seeing all the dogs. Funny I heard of people complain who were in an apartment your end as they were woke up early morning by the tennis players. I loved Causa. My favourite food. Having learned my Spanish in Spain, Peru was different but a fantastic opportunity. Loved the language food and the warmth of people. I was touched by the poverty of many and how long hours many people had to work for such low wages. 12 hours shifts 6 days per week. I recall those misty mornings and cool evenings where a fleece was necessary. I was there this time of year in winter. Then coming from Ireland Lima climate was pretty familiar but even warmer. I tried many times to see the Southern cross in skies from dark spot on Malecon. Only once was I able to pick out stars. I have no doubt you would have security like that at Wongs. People glad of a job. Gosh if it is worse than Trudeau s dictatorship it must be bad. Thankfully I didn’t have to deal with any of that in 2017. Even then I could sense there was a lot of security around. Still I loved Peru the music and the warmth of the people. Looking forward to rest of your videos. Greetings from Northern Ireland 👍🇬🇧👍
Audrey and Samuel, thank you for your great videos! I especially enjoy the food videos because I love to try local foods when I travel. My wife and I will be going to Peru in May for almost 5 weeks so I plan to sample as much as possible! Since my wife and I are both 70 we will have had our second booster by the time we go. However, we still appreciate all of the updates just to keep up with what is needed. Continue to enjoy your stay!! Regards, Larry
At the beginning of your video, I was remembering Audrey’s grandma’s birthday get together video last time. And here we go, her birthday again. What a lucky lady she is. And great family you are. I enjoyed watching your video in Peru very much last time and I’m looking forward your next episode❣️
So excited to watch your journey. I know almost nothing about Peru, so I'm looking forward to whatever you choose to showcase. Food did look great. Weather looked similar to where I live on the coast near San Francisco. Love morning fog! And a sunset over the Pacific.
Hello given were in autum maybe you can take a 1 hour hope to Punta Sal, Mancora o Zorritos where the summer never ends ! Just a thought. Enjoy your stay, very nice to visit your grandmother and the land of your ancestors!
I figured you were probably in Peru! :). That's great! Of course food videos will be amazing! I'd also love to see videos about the history of Lima as well. I know a little but not a lot for sure.. :). Enjoy guys!
Oh I always love your Lima videos. Peru is a long life dream … hopefully I can make it to Peru sooner rather than later! I love supermarkets and Markets… I know you have already shown super market and it looks so similar to our French supermarket Carrefour trolleys escalator alleys packaging price tags all the same. My question is what is on offer for vegetarians or even vegans? How easy is it to find vegetarian options when you dine out? What are typical Peruvian breakfast and deserts? Have fun it’s nice to see you travel again! Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧
Audrey is your grandma's apartment in miraflores, my grandfather used to live in an apartment in malecon 28 de Julio the view looked like the view from the balcony he had
Thanks for the video. Hope your shoulder is feeling better Sam! I'd love to see more videos about the culture in Peru and maybe hear from your grandma on what it's been like to live there. And of course, the food videos are always a highlight. Have fun!
Me llena de felicidad ver sus videos, espero lograrles un selfie 😊🇵🇪 suerte del amigo en la crepería. Les deseo lo mejor de lo mejor en tierra peruana. Saludosss 🥰
I have not been in Lima. You could show the best neighborhoods, what they look like, and maybe the places of interest, museums, the port etc…thanks for sharing your adventures.
So glad to see you guys traveling again. Now I got my wife hooked on all your content, specially South America vlogs. Excited to travel Peru with you guys! We are going to mirror your Argentina and Chile trip soon.
Wow so foggy. Looking forward to your food video's. If you go to a market would like to see that. Perfect location your staying in near the ocean. Thanks and take care.
Awesome, you guys are in Peru again! I discovered your channel when I was planning a trip to Peru a few years ago and have been following you ever since. I lived in Peru for 7 years, way back in the day (1960's and 70s). Amazing country.
Great to see you both back in your happy place. Looking forward to all the videos. And congrats to Sam with his new vision. Had a look at his Blog. Sam the Man with a Plan. All the best to you both x
Am so excited! I can’t wait to see your journey! I will be traveling to Peru in early June with my family! I can’t wait to see and learn from your adventures. It will be my second time visiting but first for my family, there is so much to see and do!
Sam & Aubrey welcome to my home country! I have followed your videos and your excellent tips throughout the world for some time now and am very interested to learn a little more on my own country ... nice surprise that Audrey's grandma lives in Peru! hope you enjoy your stay !!!
I had an interesting visit to Peru this winter. The rules did change and masking was enforced and vaccination cards were often checked. Ecuador seems a little more laid back now.
We started travelling this year after almost 2yrs…went to Istanbul 2mths ago… kinda hesitant at first but it went smoothly and overall fantastic.. planning to visit Seoul end of the year
Oh yes, Peru in general so pretty. But Miraflores, Lima is amazing. The coast view is impressive and the walk way along that takes you to the "Parque de Amor" is just magical. Food is delicious. I'm remember in 2019 I had a great cup of coffee at Puku Puku Cafe at Ave. Larco, anyway thanks for sharing.
So happy to see you back in Lima! The morning fog is something I always remember from my city! I think you should travel to Trujillo, Cajamarca, Piura, Ancash and the Amazons to show us their foods. Maybe go to the northern beaches too :)
Great to see you guys back in Lima. I loved your videos of feeding/petting the cats in Parque Kennedy & sitting at cafés with big cups of thick hot chocolate, dipping fried dough into it. Yumm!
AH Perfect timing! we head to Peru ( Lima, Cuzco, Machu Picchu, Puno) in September!! I am hoping some of the masking mandates relax... SO worried about tolerating altitude in general let alone with heavy masking! Appreciate any continued updates you can add as you go along ( we have 3 shots). Also Best CAKE, we love desserts!
Hope you both are staying safe! Your videos help my travel cravings during these tough times. Can’t wait to travel again. Until then, eat lots of good food 🤤
Manjar blanco is different than caramel spread. For manjar blanco you cook milk and sugar for many hours at low temperature so the maillard reaction can occur. For a caramel spread you first caramelize the sugar, then add the milk/fat and reheat to a certain temperature.
Wow u guys are back in Peru, I am sure there will be tons of food video haha. I watched a lot of your previous Peru videos before I went there last year. Now I have to study the Argentina ones!
So excited to see you explore Lima! It would be cool to see you try one of the many Michelin star restaurants in Lima! Or you and your family could cook some traditional Peruvian dishes like Lomo Saltado or Aji de Gallina at home and show us how you do it!! I am also curious about how the city had changed over your Abuela’s and Mom’s lifetimes!! I think most videos I have seen in Lima show off Miraflores and Barranco, but I would love to see some of the other neighborhoods of the city! Another cool thing to see is some of the ruins in the city and just outside of the city (like Pachacamac, I think?). It would be fun to see a market too! Peru has so many amazing foods from there (3000 types of potatoes, quinoa, lima beans, tons of amazing fruits, etc.) and it would be cool to learn more about them! Have so much fun!! Excited to see your upcoming videos!!
Hey, so nice to see you again, in fact I can't wait to see a few videos with Véronique and Alejandro, they are so great people. It would also be nice if you join Kim and Sonrixs. Cheers from Mar del Plata, Argentina.
Lindo peru que ciudad tan moderna. Solo entendi Peru, Miraflores, ceviche. Pero me encanto ver a Pilar con su mama. Y los paisajes. Y que Samuel hable tanto, aunque no le entendi nada No lo subtitularon ! ...
Congrats Samuel!! Immersion is awesome. Mispronunciation hapens to all of us in every language.Sometimes It makes difficult to get the message across. Totally normal!! You have a great family and plenty opportunities to practice in Soanish speaking countries. So, go for it!! 🇺🇾🇦🇷🇨🇦
Hey guys, glad to see you back. I would suggest guided parapenting to take some nice video from the air. A friend of mine did it and he was thrilled. Besides you can have some sun bathing because right now (joke) you look, in the words of Procol Harum, "A Whiter Shade of Pale". 😂 Also a visit to old Lima with those beatiful colonial buildings would be great. Godspeed !!
Ahhh, we see the paragliders every afternoon from the balcony! It does look cool. Haha, and yes, we need a bit of sun after a loooong Canadian winter. 😅
When I lived in Lima in the early 70's; I recall that ceviche was made (somewhat) exclusively with tiburon (shark). I could be mistaken, but your family may be able to confirm my memory (please). And there was an awesome Pollo a La Brassa spot neat the market in Surquillo; best we had and the rotisserie was two levels high. The chickens would pass the second floor, and back down.
We were just talking about that the other day! Shark and dolphin meat were mentioned. I learned that part of the reason was food scarcity during the military dictatorship, but in certain areas, it was also just cultural.
@@samuelandaudrey Back then, Peru's economy/exports did not bring in enough USD to buy goods internationally. The La Scala store near us was only half stocked with goods. Beef was available only two weeks per month, as other countries was not interested in Soles (at the time). Also, chickens were fed anchovy meal and eggs tasted "fishy". Good to see times are much better now.
What a fascinating destination! It quite a studied location, both for its history and culture.💗💗 As for suggestions, I am weirdly interested in the ancient Paracus 💀, discovered beyond Lima, besides the food and sights!
It's so nice that you are returning to our country. You can visit the best restaurants in Lima. Some of them are: Kjolle, Central, Maido, Matria. If you want Chinese-Peruvian food, you can try Master Kong restaurant in Pueblo Libre, if you want Japanese -Peruvian, you can try Hana Maki in San Miguel. There are many fusion foods that are amazing. You should definitely try them out! If you are coming to Cuzco (where we live), you can visit Machu Picchu, Q'eswachaka is a great plan, too. It's the last Inka bridge. There are some thermal waters in Colcamayo that are amazing. You can also visit the secret valley and do some tourism with the communities around. If you are still in Lima, you can also visit "Parque de las Leyendas" in San Miguel, or you can go paragliding or surf in Miraflores, or go to San Lorenzo island, there are tours from Callao and you can swim with seals at Palomino island. I hope you have a great time here! You can also check out our videos. We are Peruvians and we make videos in English to show the world our places, culture, adventures, and food (of course!).
I had missed your Peru videos! I was there exactly one month ago, would’ve been so nice to run into you guys :) also, my family and I travelled to Peru in 2018 and we followed your recommendation to go to Punto Azul, now it has become my favorite place to get ceviche, ate there twice last month.
So cool, Mariela! So nice to hear you made it to Punto Azul. We also went back for lunch a few days ago - it's a must-visit whenever we're back in Lima. 😊
Personally I'd like to see some of the music scene in areas whether it's a venue, traditional music, buskers etc ...whatever may cross your path. Take care you two!

Thanx 4 comings to my country..
I wish your could go to Canta ,is located 2 hours from Lima..is the
High land of Lima, cause looks like Machu Pichu
Welcome back to Peru 🇵🇪!
