"Lords of the Fallen is an action role-playing video game played from a third-person perspective. Like its predecessor, players can use both melee weapons and magic to defeat enemies, and the game's gameplay and combat system adopted elements from Soulslike games. The game's campaign can also be completed cooperatively with another player.[1] The game also features a player-versus-player multiplayer mode.[2]
At the beginning of the game, players can create and customize their own player avatar, and choose from one of nine character classes.[2] The game is set in an interconnected world, one that is several times bigger than that from the 2014 game. In this game, two worlds are layered on top of each other. The world of Axiom is the realm of the living, but players can use a magical lantern to access Umbral, the realm of the dead. Despite sharing the same physical space, an inaccessible area in one realm may be reached by visiting the other realm. When the player is killed, they will be transported to Umbral in which they must return to Axiom and retrieve lost experience points. When the player is killed in the Umbral realm, they will respawn in their last savepoint and lose their unspent XPs. Savepoints are far and few in each region, though players can craft their own savepoints using materials collected from Umbral monsters"

You can be safe in Umbral if you find a spot where the eye closes and stays closed, enemies won't spawn then.
Word of warning for the areas that need the Pilgrim's Perch Key... The enemies behind those doors are *much* stronger than the rest of the area. They're about as strong as the Calrath enemies, which can be a brutal surprise.
Actually I learned hard way yesterday 😅😅. I was furious then I realize maybe I need to level up little bit.
I found out the hard way too and I later find out that u get the key anyway and for free. So it is definitely not worth it to buy early on imo.
@@krimzenkloud3259 Depends on your build. Just sprinting through gives you access to some pretty good stuff for that early in the game.

Sameee, its sooo good. its unfortunate that the steam reviews are pretty bad, mostly due to the performance issues in the first days. But they dropped a lot of performance updates so it should be fine now. But people are too fast to judge sadly :/
@@JoDTeamRaini yeah people are so judgy hey, some will complain about anything because they only care about complaining regardless of the points - I think this game will age really well with time, there's sooooo much depth under the hood, eventually the quality will win out I think - at least I hope so, I definitely want more games in this series!
Optimization is shite
After a patch they key of Pilgrim is 18.000 vigor not 9500 like it use to be, and you kinda have to backtrack beause the basic eenmies in thoses zones are way stronger than you are at this point in the game ad instead of struggle you can just comeback you don't loose time and wont be as op or overlevel if you do it straight away
This is dropped for nothing eventually 👍
If you want to walk away from your game, put it in photo mode it pauses the game

Ive always hated the invasion mechanics in games like this. I understand people like PVP and i dont think it should neccesarily be removed, but having an opt out option while still being able to play coop would be nice. Ive been following a game called Synduality that has a PvPvE system and ive heard the PVP amounts to camping on the extraction elevator after a boss fight so you can kill the weakened player and steal their stuff.
Put a password on your session no uninvited invaders
@@corenellow4570 they still invade. Me and my cousin have a password and we still get invaded. Unless there’s a wild chance they have the same password idk

great game, totally frustrating, but this game is adding another level of immersion and giving you jump scares with the music, and umbral, bro you do not feel at ease there at all :D
Top kudos for this horror touch coming alive in a souls game, we needed this so bad.
Ofc love Elden Rings etc to death, but pulling you in and being on your toes in this game is totally amazing!

Good tips. Regarding killing the Reaver farming I have a feeling they will patch that so he doesn't die from a fall. Will be a pity if they do though IMO.

He has started to delay his run a little bit they are definitely on to it😂❤
The boss rewards are insanely overpriced for a currency you cannot get much easily anyway. Not to mention the trophy list is filled with mandatory online trophies, that is not cool imo, I am not interested in pvp and on top of that, PS players are outright locked out from online without spending a little fortune for PS+..
I think they have other things to worry about before patching that lol, like maybe make the game work because it's dogshit right now

If you use the moving platform in the area, bringing it to the middle and placing your character rrriiight at the edge of it, you can just afk and the boss will die on spawn repeatedly. You do that, you go do stuff and come back later to siphon the deeellllicious exp
This doesn't work either he just hangs out on the other platform

Just started playing, think it’s gonna take awhile to get into. The Umbral thing is annoying for me personally but I’ll persevere 👀 and had some lag when there were a good few enemies in the area

I agree. They should have gone with the route of Elden Ring. Jumping, IMO it's a waste of space.

I wish the dodge wasn't a metric kilometer away from the target you wish to remain in combat with. Other than that it's pretty interesting and fun.

Yeah it's fun, other then the COMPLETELY atrocious and washed out graphics on console. It completely takes you out of it. They ripped us off HARD with this game. Not even close to being worth $70, especially when Lies of P is 10x better and actually optimized for only $60.

I love the game, I just hope that those who gave bad steam reviews in the first days, mainly due to performance issues, give it another chance and update their review.
A little pointer in regards to the GET THE KEY tip. It is worth to metnion that the hidden boss area is a higher level area, so if you go ahead and open all the doors your first time there you will have an incredibly hard time. But definitely worth for the other loot like the armor set you showed.

so for the red ghost farm you can actual completely idle farm him, if you go further in the umbral down where the bridge leads to the floating platform and stand on the platform while its in the centre (keeping to the far side away from where you stepped on) the red will just die immediately after spawning and you can literally just sit there for as long as you want racking up kills
Yeah thus farm is actually the worst the vigor drop per kill alot, you'll be down to getting 500 vigor every 4 mins

Best Quick nifty payse method found was the photo mode.
Open player screens (inventory, screen that shows stats. Press start button on ps5) then press left joystick to go into photo mode.
Good tips man. Saved me some headaches assuming i can remember them all XD
Farming method doesn't work anymore.
Also for Windows users if you don't want to keep losing your stuff when you die, find the location of save files on your drive and back them up regularly.

The key you get from yhe vendor in the hub is now 18000 vigor and it is not worth buying it aince he drops it for free later on and the gear you cam get is pretty good but it is not that good and the enemies behind the doors are VERY strong compared to what you are fighting at the start of the game and you will struggle a lot if it is your first playthrough it will also screw up some npc questlined and you might lose out on some gear because of it.
Do you know how to get back up to Skyrest Bridge if you didn’t get the vestige and is stuck

anyone finding it annyoing how fast you switch targets in this game? like i touch the right stick a tiny bit and it targets the enemy behind me
It makes a pretty significant difference if you turn off auto switch. That’s what seems to be bouncing that lock on all over the place like that.

Another great tip is to beware of enemies in the Umbral even when you're not there. If you shine your lantern on the withered, they become aware of you, attack you and pull you in to their realm.
This is the stupidest thing in the game those ghost monkeys and the butterfly things just insta grab and take to their “humble abode”
I think you can see footsteps in water for Umbral beings before you cast your Lantern
6:28 when I got that key and opened the bell room door all the enemies behind that door are extremely hard compared to 10 ft away where there’s a enemy where I do normal damage
Because what he didn’t tell you is the key unlocks late game areas and shouldn’t really be rushed for because you can’t actually handle them anyway
Just did the new XP farm. The boss got stuck at first but I managed to fix it.

Just be sure to remember to run around a keep killing the small enemies too. Don't just wait around for the boss. You have to take advantage of the x3 vigor drops

On which console is this recorded? I am playing on xbox series x and have huge frame drops in most of the areas shown in this video, while you don't. Using performance mode...

Haven’t been able to throw enemies off cliff yet. How do you move the soul? Says left stuck but that moves ME too.
When you soulflay the enemy, you have to push the direction you want them to go on the left joystick. While soulflaying you are "stuck" in place, so you won't move.

I've been legitimately trying to do this for the past 2 hours and every time he just falls down onto a platform and he never die.
I've been using the lantern to suck him. It'll give him a small nudge and he'll normally fall off the side for me. If he doesn't die I just wait for him to spawn back up. There's so many ways to get him to fall off in this area just get creative.

dont waste vigor on the key, at a certain point the npc will disapear and leave the key and a note in the hub area for free

To be honest, for anyone reading-I’m kinda looking for a list of all ridiculous quest ending mistakes.
Not talking about cleansing the beacons if you want the inferno ending, etc-y’all know what I’m talking about
A list for like, going up the elevator after killing the very 1st Skin Stealer (that cancels you from getting Winterberry as a merchant)
I know of that one, I know about getting the tattered banner back down to Captain Stomund way before even approaching The Empyrian
& that’s…about it. (On new playthrough, in The Fen, would love to go to The Fief really quick for The Umbral Lamp upgrade-but, does THAT mess anything up?

Straight across from where u make that reaper fall is a floating island that u use ur lantern to pull if u sit in the middle he cant get u u can literally leave for an hour and he will just keep dyin

I wish the HUD looked alittle cleaner/crisp. Kinda looks like DS2
Man, the tutorials in this game were SO overwhelming at first. It turns out it's really nowhere near as complicated as it seems, but still, something about the way they're all piled on at once was rough.
What they should've done is find a way to allow these abilities to be "unlocked" with natural progression through the first hour of the game. Extend the tutorial, explain the unlocks with some kind of narrative, i.e. your lamp is lost so you have to rely on melee for the first 5 mins, explain all that, then you find the lamp but it's cracked so it only allows you to rift and siphon at first, get used to that stuff, then you find some powder that repairs the lamp 5 minutes later and that unlocks soul rip, then you get used to those things, et cetera. Slow it down and don't pile 50 tutorial messages onto a brand new player in the span of like 20 minutes.
The Key for me is priced for 18K vigor… idk why when yours was 9K.. gotta do more vigor farm 😥

Dont get the key after changing 2 of the 5 lights the character keaves a note amd tou get the key for free. The enemies in there will destroy a low level so best to wait

You don’t have to buy the key. You can progress the game forward and he leaves the key behind for you eventually.
Only just watched this and red reaper definitely been patched as it follows everywhere without falling. Even ladders 😢

All of these have been patched. You need to update your video. Also, the Pilgrims Perch key is free when Stomund moves locations later in the game. He leaves it to you, and it makes that area easier to navigate. This is due to you being leveled higher for the Pilgrims Perch locked areas.
Idk why they'd put an invasion mechanic in this game, there is already way to many enemies lol

This exploit doesnt work anymore. Umbral boss can easily get to you AND stronger umbral enemies spawn to harass you with ranged attacks.
