This is the tutorial boss in the new Lords of the Fallen. You're supposed to die to him and the game continues, but if you're stubborn enough and have a few hours to spare you can actually kill him and get a different cutscene.
Well in this video he has his lost souls on the ground indicating that he's fought this boss before. Plus he said if you have a couple hours you can do it. I'm guessing he's been ALT+F4'ing the game when he dies an restarting the game.@@morthangaming2513

Imagine being a goddess who’s never truly lost a battle outside of a single stalemate and getting repeatedly destroyed by someone wearing nothing but a jar on their head.
You get three chances to face him off. Tutorial, then twice after. It doesn't really change much. Either you kill him first or second time he shows up, or you are forced to kill him the last time he shows up and doesn't leave till you kill him

I think that the only "unbeatable boss you're supposed to die to" I killed was the Vanguard Demon. :D I don't usually have patience to chip damage a spongy boss with a starting character. You did a great job with this.
Compared to other tutorial bosses, even Iudex who is probably one of the more complex tutorial bosses in souls/souls-like games, Lightreaper definitely feels like an impossible/die to continue boss. Which makes sense, bro is hunting noobs with late game gear xD
I don't know man, the invincibility frames here looks almost too generous , but will know for sure when we get our hands on the game too ;P and overly telegraphed attacks can be boring , but I welcome it over aggressive tracking any day haha
lies of p is crazy, some bosses have attacks that wind up the same way, but then will change up depending on how you flank around them. There were also some other enemies that feinted attacks too.
That already exist. Its even a game with multiple difficulties that you unlock by beating the game so you can speedrun that by beating the 1st boss a few times.
@@itsyaboiguzma the only thing worth it is the vigor(souls) acquired if you run rogar(pyromancy equivalent in terms of spells) its possibly worth it, since his items are rogar based(inferno scaling needed to see lore)
Yeah no. Its just not worth the time to practice the fight. He is a full time streamer and can just run at it for hours on end. I have limited time to play so I'll not give myself the struggle of this
after watching the actual full vid on twitch, I’m definitely grinding out 40-50 levels before going into this boss lol especially knowing rebuilding is 8,000 and knowing you can get that in like 15min after this fight I’m going to grind lvls till it cost 8k and then redo my points. If I can spend hours shooting a bird in elden then I can do this goal
It was made because of new game plus, in new game plus you most likely kill the boss, since you're OP, so probably.. It's not a hidden feature or anything 🤔

I have not seen much of Lords of the Fallen, but the ghostly man who took that red vial ? looked like the main character from the first Lords of the Fallen. Not sure how it connects, but we will soon find out
This cutscene was added after the release of the game. I did it a few days after its release and what happened was he died then the game got stuck in the scene and the combat arena forcing a reset of the save
I think u dont get the point. He thought instead of killing it when healthbar reduces to 0 it would flee and reappear in a different location later on where u have to kill it. And ur also wrong with elden ring first boss. U can fight the first boss in elden ring later on

There's a quest that calls for you to summon a NPC to help you fight him, which unlocks a unique move set with the Lightreaper's swords... not sure if you can get that now.
This man fought a a 15 minute fight that I intentionally whiffed after 5 seconds on my first playthrough, assuming that I wasn’t supposed to win it.. lol
They removed the Light Reaper from this sequence of the game in a recent update at the time of typing this. You are now one of the few people who has beaten LR before that update!!!
You lock yourself out of a questline that unlocks the Dark Crusader class. You also lock yourself out of completing Kukajin's quest. That and you wasted a bunch of time. Don't do it.
I love this game, especially since all the updates and boss rush type stuff and modifiers. Game deserves alot more attention than it got. Hope it gets a dlc
Man, I'm having trouble with some of the regular-ass enemies in the area beyond Gerlinde's cell (looking at you knights with the glowing yellow shields,) and here you are beating what I have to assume is probably the final boss, using what appears to be essentially base HP and stamina stats. This makes me want to step up my game and do better at actually learning amd anticipating movesets instead of always just trying to react in the moment.

@@True_Draconian Dont forget you can create a safe right before the boss If you upload your save data and download it again. Also i would recommend using the wooden cross weapon instead of the spear. You can buff the wooden cross and its faster = more DPS. Doing the same with the pyro atm

You know a boss is well designed when you can evade its attacks with strafing and proper positioning instead of just pressing the dodge button at the right time. This game is really looking like a massive improvement over the first one.

Yeah I took note of that too. Apparently like Elden Ring whereby it's a straight on forward attack to you best to forward roll into it so the attack hits behind you missing it's target. Gotta be perfectly timed of course.

2 of them seem to be quest items. The remembrance is the equivalent of a boss soul which can be exchanged for the lightreaper'a weapon or spell (infernal spell keep build in mind) and 25 umbral scouting which are currency you exchange for boss armor, weapons, spells etc from the merchant at the main hub.

if you are locked to enemy: one press of dodge always do sidestep, double press do roll, if you are not locked to enemy you will always roll

You can. You can buy boss armor and weapons so you like them.
Devil may cry, bayonetta , metal gear revengance, etc. Those games let you play as a boss.
