you can turn off overtime effects like invigorating aura by holding the button to activate it down. dont have to wait for it to deplete mana. (edit) should clarify I'm talking about pressing it again after you've activated it.
I'm on PC, and just bringing out my catalyst and pressing the button as if I was casting it a 2nd time does toggle off the aura. No animation for it, and the aura just quietly and quickly fades

Yes just simply recasting the same spell will turn it off, no animation.
Bro I’m either stupid or my mind is playing tricks. I tried to toggle it off yesterday and it just recasted it again so I thought it just worked that way. But trying to today and it definitely turns it off. Maybe I just didn’t notice it and pressed it twice?

Man its like he doesn't pay attention at all. Orius Judgement locks and chases a target, when they die it chases another one. So of course it doesn't AoE a group effectively. On top of that you can cast multiples of them and have 4+ out all chasing different targets and annihilating them, not one at a time. Seeing that you can create a MASSIVE thunderstorm where the lightning chases targets it is easily one of the best highest damage spells in the whole game.
Yeah man that Lighting spell is really good and it actually does do good crowd control because it has AOE damage, i use it alot to mow down crowds, it kills most normal enemies in the crowd leaving the stronger enemies to have to fight me 1 on 1

Not only that, but the lock on distance is huge in this game. If you can lock on, you can kill it with this spell. There's a reason basically every single pvp encounter I've had opens with this spell. Once they cast it, you either run or die. It can kill all the most troublesome elite enemies with zero effort from the player, don't even need line of sight. It's one of the most OP spells I've ever seen in a soulslike lol
Ok so I have changed my mind after finding out that you can cancel the radiant aura buffs. Aura of Tenacity can get an S tier especially when paired with mana regen stuff. Invigorating Aura can get an A tier because I still prefer Aura of Tenacity due to it consuming less mana and I value damage negation more. I know people are upset about Orisus Judgement and I was sleeping a bit on the poise damage but poise breaking enemies in this game doesn't really offer you much reward so I would only give it a B tier.
Edit: barbed aura still sucks
Invigorating Aura - is OP. Mana reg ring, plus mana stones are cheap, plus shield and reg. runes, you almost became Invulnerable.
Yeah, you should redo or edit this video. A lot of spells you just need mana regain.
It looks like you didn't finish your build properly if you didn't know orius judgment was the S tier God of radiant damage for your build it just needs to be around 75 to justify having a spell like that active.
After Calrath, you can socket a mana
Regen rune. If on a shield, it continuously refills.

@@MrHellweaselits shortly after the progeny bossfight, go in umbral at the bottom of a ramp if I'm remembering correctly and the nartun rune is in one of those pregnant ghost belly things you have to soulflay

@@KizerMoore Incorrect. It is in the mines, at the vestige that has the dude complaining about his wife’s grave being defaced. When you drain the lake, it is in a belly in Umbral in the lake.
Radiant weapon also adds smite build up to weapons. It's OP on weapons that come with smite innately
Orius judgement becomes godly with the pendant that increases posture damage for radiant spells, pop it at the start of a bossfight and you can break their posture in seconds
its also really good if you get invaded in coop, invader is basically unable to stand still while its chasing them
Having attempted to invade, that spell feels like BS. I didn't realize how laggy it was as the invader til I tried it today. I can understand some of the complaints from that side now.
Something to note about Radiant Flare is it also does stagger damage at 12:27 you can see this which makes it the best spell period, cheap ranged damage + stagger for easy ripostes
edit: I'm wrong the spell only does stagger damage with a specific talisman equipped but once equipped this becomes the best spell!
I think that's the effect of the talisman Hallowed Tryptych, which makes holy damage deal posture damage.

invigorating aura is actually good once you got enough mana regen for it, try get 3 nartun and slot them into your shield, you can now basically run invigorating aura infinitivly. If you also use the mana ring from the tourched prisoner, then you can get aura of tenacity runing together with it and still slowly (really slowly) regen your mana, with these two auras and a set of heavy armor, you can basically just tank the red reaper in NG+ without any warry about death, so does the bosses and elites. I almost never die again after im able to run these two auras permantly
Manaring plus mana regen glyph on a shield allowed me to have access to enough mana to play 70 % mage. I use an Umbral catalyst then just slot in a ring to allow me to inferno or radiance.
The aura you have as worst can be toggled on or off by recasting it. With two mana regen items it drains as fast as it regains, so it just stalls the mana bar as is. Amazing for tuff boss fights since it’s 50% less damage
Honestly i have zero complaints on the mana use of spells. The consumables drop very often to the point i already got 200 of the base low lvl ones and i only been playing like 2 hours
This is a REALLY awesome list and it really helped me with my first runthrough of the game. I think I'd probably shift a couple rankings around based on boss killing power, but I think you did a pretty amazing job. Thank you for doing this.

Be aware that you won't get very many good pyromancy spells until late game
@@weebutrash8733 that's true, yesterday (during the burning town) i got my new catalyst and got 2 new spells, and these wreck havoc in areas where I was quite struggling before.
I wish the developers would have given us pyromancers something to play with earlier on...

If you want to use Invigorating Aura, your best bet is to also use the Unbridled Focus Pendant as it cuts the uptime cost by roughly half for channelled spells and auras from what I could see. Add in mana regen from the rune and/or ring and you can lean into more of a caster role. And with the pendant, you can add Lucent Beam to your repertoire as its mana cost is also reduced as it's a channelled spell.
FYI unbridled focus is bugged and does not reduce the mana cost of aura's i have personally tested with with a timer. 78 radiance + 8 inferno = 608 mana, invigorating aura lasts around 2 minutes with unbridled focus on and 2 minutes with it off. that being said it is still an incredibly op spell and definitely the most consistent healing spell seeing as you can just throw it on and forget about it with the mana regen ring + rune granting your 4 mp a second as well as a ring that grants 4 mp on hit. additionally combine it with tenacity aura and adyr's hardiness and you are now basically unkillable. i have beaten multiple bosses with zero dodging or blocking just straight up face tanking and smacking them till they die with these three spells and setup.
Really? At the time I made my comment I was noticing a clear difference in mana consumption whether or not it was equipped.
Just loaded up my radiance character and yeah it looks like it is currently bugged for the aura's, still affects Lucent Beam though so it seems to just be bugged with the aura skills. And yeah, you can make an ungodly tanky character with those skills, especially when you don't even need to dip into Inferno for Adyr's Hardiness as all you need for it is 8.
You can get passive regen from a shield rune, regenerates one mana every 0.7 seconds or so, unfortunately i have no clue where i got mine
It's located in the mines area after the first part of the Upper Calrath. If I remember correctly - it's in the umbral version of the room where you need to drain water right near the Vestige
If you do the prisoner quest (in the cell at skybridge) she gives you a ring that regens health and mana not to sure on how much havent got it yet
There's a ring that regens mana (about 2 or 3 points per second) and another one that makes the sanguinix heal mana and health for the same amount, pretty much always a full mana refill when u use a flask. Its the last item you get from her quest tho.
Nah, orius judgement needs to be much higher, you pair that with a pendant that causes all holy damage to do posture damage and it’ll deplete bosses posture like crazy because of the multi hit, pop 2 of them at the beginning of the fight and It’ll destroy bosses
Absolutely agree with you on this. I did something similar and that thing shreds most bosses hp bar. It’s been my goto for dealing with the larger enemies as well.

Yup, definitely top 3. I am wearing the holy damage pendant but even so, it is pretty awesome. I think you can get out like 5 of them on a full mana bar and that shit just deals stupid damage on slower targets.
You can release the tortured prisoner quest line and get a mana Regen ring, works very well in the traveling between areas.

Invigorating aura is goated, u can have it running for a full boss fight giving great regen while focusing on melee. U can also use a mana stone or the ring that reduces aura sorcery cost.
For spells that drain your mana recast them and it’ll end them
Orius' Judgement is great for clearing up weak-but-annoying adds like dogs and archers. Just target the most annoying enemy in the group, and cast it before you jump into the fight. It'll stunlock and kill at least that one enemy, and it'll continue to autonomously follow other enemies and get some damage in while you're fighting. It's like a way better version of the radiant guardian, and for me it's close to the top of the list.
The major thing about at least invigorating aura, it does affect ALLIES as well, making it actually a really good healing spell for coop
Agreed and if your like me and my friend were both radiant casters so we alternate. We also run passive mana generation on our shields so ultimately expending that small amount of mana for healing while the others mana recharges is no big deal

Get the ring that gives passive mana regen. Get the locket that lowers mana cost of specific type of spell you gonna use or go for the umbral one that allows spell uses in exchange for status build up instead of mana

You gotta pay closer attention to Orius, that spell, once you get the feel for its amazing devastation which shouldn't be long at all is a amazing and highly useful spell that you can just launch even where you think enemy's are hiding and it will search them out. It's amazing to walk into a situation where the game thinks they got you boxed in and you just unload several in tactical areas, spread out, and watch them hunt everything down. Even the invisible arrow pricks get pulled out of hiding when you set off in there area. It's a BEAST
Radiant Weapon also gives your weapon the Smite status effect, so it's just as good for dealing damage as Lacerating Weapon. The only difference between them is damage type.
Invigorating Aura is actually broken when you’ve got a lot of those mana replenishing items.
You can also stack both this and Aura of Tenacity, which is even more broken.
Rune that regens mana + the ring that does it fills it pretty quick

I feel the early entries are meant for coop. They seem really good in a multiplayer perspective and as a SUPPORT
Also, wrong on two counts. You can farm the manastones just like silver bullets in Bloodborn and by investing enough in infernal your manapool become so large you can definitely do encounters 100% just spells.
socketing the mana regen rune on a shield + getting the manastone ring together stacks and basically allows for mana-regen other than using the items
I made a full radiant caster build. I took a lot of time stocking up on Manastones and got my radiant to 60 so I have a lot more mana to fight with.
Hard cap is 75
The ring that regenerates mana on hits + Damage reduction and healing aura + dual weild daggers + spell where you do more dmg at full health = major op. Never die, never run out of mana, always regen, take almost no damage, and constant status effects on enemies with daggers. Try it out, its amazing.
U must be kidding invigorating aura is the goat, put mana regen ring, and mana regen runes on shield and u pretty much super hard to kill.

Orius Judgement is probably the most OP spell in any soulslike. This guy gives it B tier lol. That spell can win the entire game for you while you make a sandwich. Get high radiance, then literally kill any enemy from max lock on distance while you hide, it trivializes all the the hardest areas of game

@@BowlingRat You have to advance his questline, until he asks you for pieces of a war banner, this will be at the manse of the hallowed brothers. He'll be at the end of that area just before you get to the tower with the beacon, he'll be on the path to the Abbey. You have to find the two pieces of that banner before you beat the boss at the abbey. Find him there and give him those two pieces, and his inventory will expand and you'll be able to buy the spell from him, but that'll be your only chance because he'll relocate afterwards.

Using a large manastone fixes the issue with mana drain on the 3 radiant aura spells. And if you’re having issues buying them, just do vigor farming and that’ll solve the issue.

Hey there @youwy there is a rune that causes about 3-4 mana regen when applied too shields so aura of tenacity gets no mana drain but thank you for the list
So this is Elden Ring but the holy spells don't suck.
For Orius's Judgement i personally believe it should be just a couple places higher, because you can spam more than one. Literally will melt a boss on NG+
I equip the Manastone ring as well as the rune where I regain Mana for hitting enemies. I usually don't even use Mana stones
I just got a Radiant spell called Smiting Shield that wasn't included on this list, it's the spell that hallowed sentinels with a shield huck at you
If you activate a aura again you cancel it ^^ and a shild on the back with mana regeneration helps a lot with auras ^^
So how do you acquire more slots for spells? Right now I only have a total of 3 slots and I noticed you have 5.

It's your catalyst that determines how many spell slots you have.
Its dependent on your catalyst mostly but can also be buffed by accessories to a max of 5.

Loving spell casting in the game. Some fun spells; tho I do feel like we’re due first more creative spell classes in soulslikes.
Your sleeping on orius judgement cause if you have the mana regen stones and you spam that thing on a boss it just shreds down the bosses hp to nothing. I think for the most part its fine how it is except it should track the target a bit faster
u can have 3 mana runes in your shield, mana ring and have 2 auras active at no cost, making you close to invulnerable
Briar Storm should have seperate damage ticks for the Thorns and Arrows and should at least slow enemies. That way it at least would be useful.
Also, the aura spells can be turned off, there's just no animation for it. Just activate it again and it turns off animationless.
Mana regen ring and rune on shield combo with sanctify, basically make you game easy mode. I can pop the sigil every fight and pump my hp to 100% all the time and by the end of the sigil i already have the mana back.
Let me add some nuance to your tier list. Used correctly some of these spells have way better value. So for instance with the umbral eye that protects you while charging heavy, you can place any dot spell, and immediately get your health back. So with the judge, i played the dot ring and the cleansing ring down. Preventing her status ailments and immediatly healing me while are charged and it allowed me to kill second phase in about a minute and 20 seconds or so simply by standing my ground. Other dot spells may work better but i wanted to stay in the cleansing ring because of her ailments. So what might be a B or C tier stand-alone, can be a or even s tier when put in the right build.
There is an easy way for infinite mana. There is the nartun rune and the manastone ring.
Looks like you didn't do the pyro quest to unlock the mana regen ring.
You can recast the buffs that deplete mana over time to turn them off.
Everywhere says there's only 20 radiance spells but there's not there's at least 21 maybe more makes me think that people haven't found them all because everywhere says there's 20 their list doesn't include vortex of torment so yeah I'm inclined to believe there might even be more spells that can get dropped from certain enemies
Get the mana ring, it regenerates your mana, so you can cast magic much more often.
I dissagree ... Orius Jufgement - it is "S" tear .... I cust 5 of the in row and they kille JUDGE CLERICK ...... DUDE ... 7000+demage ... for mana bar ....
For some reason when I use Lucent Beam, half the time it seems to do nothing at all to the enemies in its path.

radiant Slash is bugged af, u can give dunmire the vanguard barro's rosary and that spell wont going to appear in the shop xd
if you recast the aura it disables the buff you don't have to unequip it and re-equip it.

Orius Judgement actually does a lot of Posture Damage, that's its real benefit
you can combo spells in this game so it makes sense not to have regenarating mana

You can easily cancel aura spells, doesn't even require an animation, just hit the button again

There is a radiant grand shield that give you mana reg. And there is a mana regen ring you can get from inferno vender.

Spells on this game are super op. A couple of runes and a manastone ring and you're set.

That’s why I prefer Umbral magic.They have better spells with faster animations..I feel like it’s better to enhance your weapon with the radiance instead of casting a spell several times for 60 mana
Honestly, I'd been happier with the guardian spells if they did more damage and just drained mana to stick around because then we could just use mana regen items to keep em around longer. But as is, they aren't worth it as they shoot slowly, deal mediocre damage and have only a few shots before going POOF
Oh no. Dude, Radiant guardian is actually good. It’s a pvp spell. Pop that in pvp and you get ranged pressure with the ability to use your melee weapons and any other spells you want. Even if your opponent separates to heal, they have to worry about incoming damage. If you need to heal, it can deter an all out bum-rush during your animation. Plus, it gives your opponent two things to dodge, which makes roll catching easier, and can increase your overall chance to hit and deal damage. This, combined with Pieta’s sword is an absolute nightmare to deal with.
Think of it like the orbital weapons in Armored Core. By themselves, not great. Combined with the right weapons, amazing.

Holy damage is really meant for posture more so than health.
Putting divine arms over the beam is CRAZY. I’m at 101 radiance full radiance build for reference. If you know how to group enemies the beam is absolutely disgusting and melts enemies

I just use both of the good auras and radiant weapon on pieta sword to do insane damage
you said mana issues, their r 2 items I know of that region your mana without consumables, one is a ring or necklace that regent mana on kill and I think theirs and eye socket hing or something like that that regains mana on using sangunarix, like it'll Hal u and replenish mana
There is a ring that gives mana regeneration, wear it all the time now, together with my health regen ring.

Gardian orb is really good. Using braid ring doubles shots and at 40 radiance with agony's light it adds up .
For my paladin build im using orb , radiant weapon, and invigorating aura . It worked great throughout rest of the run .

You couldn’t be more wrong about orius judgement, multi cast it on a boss and it will delete their health bar in seconds, it puts the game on easy mode

I'm sorry but this is just wrong. 1st there is a very good mana regen method in this game. Stacking Manastone Ring with Nartun rune (just equip it on shild, don't need to use it, let it hang on your back) gives you around 3 mana regen per second. About auras, I saw someone already mention that you can turn them off by using them again so with that knowlege let's talk about Invigorating Aura. How it is so low? After you acquaire this spell there is no need for you to use healing cross ever again. Like for real, I think after I get this spell I used the cross maybe 3-5 times for the rest of the game when I was rly close to die but other then that I just heal passivle to full after every fight and even in mid fights thx to passive mana regen you can sustain this Aura like forever. And now the biggest offender, Orius Judgement. Putting the best ofensiv Radiance spell in low B tier is just a sin. This spell basicly unlocks an easy mod for Radiance players. Have fast animation cast, does big aoe dmg, tracks enemy, doesn't expire if the target is dead, instead is going for another one, and the most op thing about this spell: you can stack it! After getting this spell it's only your good will if you want to encounter enemies in melee ever again cuz you can just anihilate every group of enemies with 3 fast casts of this spell and mana cost doesn't bother you thx to passiv mana regen.
There ARE rings and runes that regen mana... there's a dude on yt called pazeshifter i think. And he made a build that has infinite mana

i think that your tier list is biased by the fact that you play a hybrid build (Str & Rad), i play full radiance and i don't have the sames issues and problematic (spell cost/ efficiency) as you, for example i prefer quick spell that can be chained like orius jugement, and i only look for damage efficiency because i have a lot of mana and evry spell do a significant amount of damage. i just don't feel like you have experienced the true potential of all the spell you are talking about, and i desagree with a lot of statement you made, but sure for a hybrid build your tier list is on point.
