And then there is motorstorm pacific rift(2) that was pure perfection.
Pacific Rift was glorious
Except for the AI. They are well known to actually have rubberbanding and are so aggressive that they're willing to wreck themselves when attempting to wreck you.
Everything else about the game I won't argue against and will say it's amazing.
Apocalypse was great too

@@rainbowsheep662 For me, makes the higher difficulties just bad. It'd be fine if they were also fighting it out amongst themselves. In that way, the races would actually be a fun mess because you aren't the sole subject to their aggression.
AI racers should ALWAYS be competitors, not obstacles. Them focusing on you makes it the latter and that's my problem with them. Sad part is it's not exclusive to MotorStorm and it's something that really needs to be taken out back and thrown into a dumpster.

Online has been revived on PSONE, PSORG or PS Rewired servers for more than a year now. I recommend checking it out.
I remember playing this on my Dads PS3. He had a Digital demo of it, I’m now playing it fully for the first time! My dad passed away a few years ago but I’m thankful for him getting me into games and cars both!

I have beat the festival in every motorstorm
I didn't like how overly-bouncy the motorcycles were. Felt like riding a pogo stick with wheels at times. The crash scenes where you got thrown off the bike and 10 vehicles run you over were funny though.
I very much agree, some of the physics for the smaller vehicles were quite exaggerated but oh so humorous

3:51 Motorstorm is the best racing series ever but they do have bad rubber banding (Monument Valley mostly)
The reason they have rubber banding is give you that rush of having the cars next to you exploding around the environment. I get it's frustrating but the funnest moments to me wasn't being the only car on the screen tearing up first place all day. It's those wild neck and neck, metal shrapnel flying, cars twisting in the air above me and sparks exploding off the rocks as the next car smashes into it kind of moments. And they are there because of the rubber banding keeping the "action" on the screen and not happening behind you.
Without rubberbanding the game would have been boring

Did you have the disc or the online version? Because it changes it also, that’s a demo

The reason I asked is it’s different on disc to getting it online if you get it on disc, you get all the maps and all the vehicles but if you get it online you get the updated version of the game most of the bugs have been patched and the lobby of the game is way different I also had the 3-D version with the 3-D glasses.

7:50 Good news, Online in a way has returned. However, you'll have to make use of an emulator called 'RPCS3'... and get a ROM of the game or find a way to copy over the game's files from your legally purchased copy. There's more to it than that, I think, but Online is possible.
Amazing, sounds like a lot of work but that is quite impressive
Or easy way.. Add DNS numbers on PS3
@@DirtTheGamer Online is possible on a base, unmodified PS3 (or even if you have HEN installed) aswell, you just have to reconnect to your wifi and when you do that, you have to change the DNS of the server emulator you would like to play on.

I loved this game and a xbox game called pure both where my jam even though i was horrible at both
The 1st motorstorm game was like the 1st Terminator movie, decent for it's time, but its sequels were better imo
2 seemed a bit...I dunno, it just lacked something from the first while trying to complete all the challenges (never played it online)
I think maybe it was that the maps were too different and didn't feel realistic whereas MS 1 was in a real location.

the first game is tough for sure, but me and a friend persisted until we completed it, was a lot of fun and never really frustrated us@@BOXING_LOUNGE I never played the disaster based one, looked goofy as hell haha.
