I know this is an old video so you may have already figured this out, but there is a way to unlock most if not all of the vehicles in this game with rpcs3 patches. If you can get your hands on the 1.0 version of the game, there is an extra patch which enables the development menu which has its own race and vehicle customisation menus that give access to every vehicle in that version of the game, (including a number of dlc vehicles) and unrestricted customisation for every available vehicle. Plus as a bonus, the prologue, penultilogue and epilogue festival tracks are available to play with any vehicle through the dev menu, as well as early versions of 'The Rock' dlc tracks! I'm pretty sure the only thing it doesn't unlock is all the drivers. And once you pick a vehicle for customisation in the dev menu, it unlocks every vehicle in the final game menu as well.
I had a fun idea to improve the lore a little bit behind this game. Instead of just racing in just a random disaster zone, it could have been like Redline, where it's actually some fictional dictatorship which wants to cover up the event, and the race is organized illegally to make people see past the censorship. Motorstorm series is really good, but there are 2 things i don't like about it: 1- The physics can get really weird. Example: I drive on a ramp with only right side of my car, which should send me spinning, but the car gets tilted like 10° in air. 2- Motorstorm Apocalypse can get really, really chaotic really, really quickly. Example: I am driving on a street with a supermini and worrying about a racing truck next to me that can destroy me in 0.0165 seconds, when suddenly a giant wall comes up from the ground and I hit it at 160kph, which kills me instantly. After that i go on a bigger street and a bus on fire goes at me out of nowhere at 384kph, which kills me instantly, but in a way, I like the chaos
