Freshly Milled Wheat Copycat Cheeze-it

- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed at room temperature
1 tsp salt
1 cup soft white wheat, freshly milled
2 tbsp cooled water
Any spices you enjoy, I use garlic powder and onion powder
Mix all ingredients together until it forms a dough
Divide dough in half, rap in plastic and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes
Roll out to 1/8" thick
Cut into any shape you like (strips, cookie cutter, etc.)
Bake at 350 for around 15 minutes
Note: They do puff up when baked so be sure to roll out thin, my suggestion is 1/8 of an inch.

Made these and can't make them anymore. I now look like a Cheez-it! They were soooooooooooo good. I didn't have sharp cheddar, so used Dubliner instead...Yes...visualize a Cheez-it w/legs...that's me :) Thank you for sharing!
