Brad has impressive recovery abilities between pitches because he looks like he is about to fall the entire way. Props. Insane that his buddy's first trad lead is 13a R
"he'd never been on a multi-pitch or done trad before, so.....i figured a 13d multi-pitch would be a good start for him" Oh, Brad, this is why we love you. Please don't ever change. Mad props to Ben too for his first trad/multi-pitch being a hard one, I probably couldn't even step one foot onto that thing without it throwing me off and breaking my ankle in the process.
Brad you are changing the meaning of the trad climbing. You are too strong and the form you get recovery its awesome. Ya necesitamos ver mas escaladores de roca y menos de gimnasio. Saludos desde México.
Man, my first multi pitch lead was a 5.8, and I was horrified! Dude busts out a 5.13 for his first multi pitch lead.... impressive to say the very least. Brad Gobright- this guy is damn good! Very talented and seems to be extremely motivated!
Brad should do a sandbagging trip where he goes to places like Eldorado Canyon and Indian Creek and does 5.10s that should really be 5.13s. Rated R trad climbing is mad fun to watch. Explanations of the hard moves is super informative.
Just that hike to get to the climb woulda worn me out. These guys had no water. No real food. Climbing till dark. Think about that next time u see some football player need a drink & a break after running 40 yards
5.13d would be a good start for someone who has never done multi-pitch or Trad?? I did Man’s Best Friend for my first multi pitch (sport), 5.6 and 5.7 pitches. Starting out doing 5.13 is insane! Lol That was amazing he (Ben Hanna) did it. RIP Brad Gobright, a legend of our time.
This was frightening to watch. I looked down the canyon of that climb, and felt as if my heart was going to burst from my chest. Brad died doing what he felt was his purpose; he was brave. I am sorry he fell, leaving family and friends to grieve.
These climbers are amazing. I'm a hiker who just likes nature hikes, but this is some serious deadly hard work. Free fallers/jumpers take insane risks but it's quick & not terribly hard work. This is insane risk and insanely arduous work. What compels?
Arthur Fonzarelli The thrill :) It’s such a rush of adrenaline and accomplishment when you finally solve a really tough bouldering problem. It’s really quite addictive.
U know what? I enjoy all types of competing. Whether its team, one on one or individual competition. But that stuff ain't nothing now. This is the most extreme mental & physical challenge on any level I have ever seen. I heard about these climbers but I never paid attention/focused in it until I read about Brad. - I know some really great tree climbers & watching them work when they have no access to a bucket lift is amazing cool stuff, but they got the saddles, ropes, and spikes. These guys are relying on very little tools. I see them with no water. No food. Wearing street clothes. U people are in a class of your own.
the video title had me all sorts of pissed off, i haven't been there in years but i was going to lose my shit if these guys where actually "taking down" the route....as in cutting the bolts....phrasing guys, phrasing....also RIP brad.
RIP. Brad was such an amazing soul. So positive and inspiring. He will be missed greatly.

The guy literally broke his back, and is climbing again. I'd say he has impressive recovery abilities.

He seemed really lovely. RIP Brad.
"Just don't look at it"... lol, classic
More Brad videos please.
Second.
Brad is super fun to watch.
Sorry to break it to you-
@@liamd6238 Don't be an asshole....
@@RobertSmith-hh8pc how was that being an asshole lmao
Great movie. There is clearly more to him than the "Safety Third" image we first knew. Going to miss seeing him.
Awesome video. The sling momentarily holding the biner out by the nose at 3:12 made it even more exciting.
Rip. May his soul rest in peace.🌼we lost a great person
Rest In Peace hungry soul, you will always fuel me to push my self to the next level. Pure love
RIP Brad. You are missed.
Super inspiring footage. Beautiful route
Amazing quality of some of these videos, deserves more views!!
GREAT job Daniel!!!! Awesome work man on this entertaining piece.
Thanks man!

I’m going on my first trad pitch in two weeks better not be anything like this . Wow that looked impossible from the start. You guys are amazing
*He was amazing 😓

Second. We need a "on the sharp end" revival. Those were the best videos years ago.
A man living on the edge. Good by Gobright
10 pitches of 5.13 sounds ludicrous. I struggle on 2 pitch routes the exposure is insane the higher you go.
Oh Brad, you were amazing.
Rest in peace brother
I am not into rock climbing, I respect his dedication to the craft. He died doing what he loved.

You think he loved rappelling off the end of his rope

RIP Brad. Valiant effort by both. Was this the FFA?
definitely my favorite climber to watch and I had hoped to see much much more. Tragic. NEVER simu rapel, tandom repel if needed

I brought Ben with me... He's never climbed before....
More Brad videos
😢RIP💔 Brad
this video is making my palms sweat
This is insane. These climbers are insane. 3:41 - 4:10 - Insane. Defying gravity. For what purpose to risk ones life or health? Just insane man
rest in peace brad
You'd need crazy endurance to do that shit.
Looked like Ben could fall out of his harness.
First trade lead😂😂😂 Kid's a beast.
Rest in peace brad

First trad lead on a 5.13 .....
Stupid to do that to someone just because you want to climb it
@@kennethgibson1092 I dont understand what you mean ??? . The meaning of My comment is that he is very good to do a first trad lead on a 5.13
RIP brad
Why does using bolts constitute free climbing?
because you're only using gear to catch you if you fall not to assist in the climb
miss you Brad :/
Now THAT'S climbing!
Brad is a monster...
Nice vid :)
This is what I want to do
Learn from this young man's mistake.

These 5.13 moves look terrible. I can’t even imagine the difficulty of a 5.15.
