He smelled like a dirty climber but his heart and soul filled the entire theater with laughter and awe. RIP my brother.

He is an amazing climber and the fact his persona bucks the trend of being "cool" I think in reality this talks to so many more people in climbing because it is so honest. I hope that the sponsors and film makers are reading or listening to these kinds of comments!!
I keep coming back to this video of Brad for that exact reason. Although endearingly goofy, he was a wise soul with some impressive fucking technique (that stemming sequence was simply beautiful).
I've always been fascinated by the red sandstone cracks of Indian Creek etc.....they are so aesthetically perfect in their appearance, both color and the smoothness of that red sandstone.....being from eastern Canada, I have little experience climbing such aesthetically beautiful rock!

Darius Allison climbers die all the time by rappelling off the end of their ropes, so I was staying to “close the system” by tying knots at the end of the ropes before you rappel so you can’t rap off the end

I climbed for twenty years but had to quit because of overuse injuries. I was never really concerned about dying when I climbed but I definitely have more respect for the dangers of it now; probably because I'm a dad.
Same here. My elbow let me down. Now that I have a family I could never do the things I once did. I always knew it was dangerous but I was confident. My kids and wife need their dad around. Now I ski and mountain bike for my adrenaline needs. Take care.
