Just Completed this camera bag. As a novice and only one year of limited leather work the pattern and video were excellent help. Was a little intimidated but the bag came out great ! Take your time, enjoy handling your material, and stay positive people ! Thanks Tony
Just a suggestion, but when I assembled my bag from this pattern I put the body together first, then the lid and THEN the bottom and finally the handle. If you put the bottom on after the lid you can flip the bag upside down and attach the lid without having to open and close it every stitch.
I've made this bag for friends and they all LOVE it. It's a really good pattern and easy to follow, I highly recommend it.
Love your personality. Just a hobbyist at the moment. But I keep you running in the background while I am doing my 9-5.

It's amazing hand work, I like your videos, you have your own style! But can I ask to show how camera is located inside? You don't prepare any dividers for camera, it will mess inside with lens, accessories and etc. Thank you, Tony

How does one add an inch to the 'girth' of this bag?.. Seems complicated.. My camera is 5 inches on it's smallest side (top to bottom) Nikon D600. I bought this pattern...but it won't work at 4" wide. A lot of these products/videos have no measurements to base a purchase on. Very disappointed. I've built several of Tony's great products....but this one may not work unless I can figure this out
I did it...and it's coming out fairly well....I added 2 inches to the height and 2 inches to the girth. I'll post pics when finished if anyone cares.....

Great work Tony. And sooooo many stitches! I wonder what software do you use for your projects, I`m using Inkscape and it's a nightmare to lay all the stitches and make things the right size (it try and erroe most of the time)?

Skiving your edges and cement glue create less struggle. It reduces the bulk and makes it easier to sew.

Soft leather works too, you just have to reinforce it with bag stiffener. Lots of options out there if you know what your doing.
