You are right, BUT when you instant press the like button, the RUclips-Algorythm doesn't really count it :( . You got to wait till the mid of the Video, then youtube knows you liked it because of the actuall content.
In sewing when you make something out of a cheaper fabric to see how it works is called a mock up! And it is for the same thing, making sure the pattern works how you want it to :)
On bags like the one you made, I usually make the gusset a little longer on both sides so that it has 2 flaps that can be bent below the main flap. They will even prevent small items from accidentally falling out of the bag, should it be turned upside-down! And talking about patterns... are you ever going to release the one you made for the warmage hood? You had promised! 😭
To make the pockets easier to attach simply turn the leather edges and sew them from the outside. If you dampen about 1/4 inch of the edge and form it with your fingers it stays in shape, but it’s is a breeze to sew. I have done up tp 6 oz leather this way for pockets. It looks very professional and if you wet form the edges it sews in without any puckers.
I have a FUN idea. go outside get some twigs/tree branches and DIY something with them using comon house tools like a kitchen nice maybe bleach from the laundry room string from a sewing kit etc... Use plant leave or vine and rocks to literally anything in nature and comon house hold items! make like 5 cool adventure things.
as a seamstress, hand sewing is a peaceful activity you're internally cussing out while curled up listening to music but still can love as a leather worker, hand sewing is just externally cussing out your project while on more caffeine than sleep for the past week wondering why you put yourself through this kinda pain
How does this channel only have 38k subs? Every video I’ve watched so far is of wonderful quality and with really interesting projects! I’m definitely subscribing now qwq
101k now. There are millions of channels today and branching out requires a couple of things to happen. Viral video, shout outs, advertisement. Those are really the only ways to bring in views and get the name out there. With so many channels there is so much content out there that people who once watched a big name channel leave to find content that is directly suited for their needs at the time. I think the only reason I know about this channel is because I searched how to do a saddle stitch in Dec when I made a fitted dog collar for my dog. He wanted something more dressy than the crap that he wore. So I made him a 1.5 inch black collar tapered down to 1 inch to one of those push togeather buckels. Since this is fitted at 19 inches and can not be adjusted it looks quite well. I did a light color saddle stitch on the edge and added in 8 concos that looked really good, 1/2 inch in size. To give the studded look. I paid 70 dollars for all the tools, and leather, buckles. I have enough to make him another one which I might do and make it better. I think I want to try some more stitch work and more studs type things.
I love to watch your videos and dream about the day I would have time to do these projects! Instead, do you sell any of these things after you're done? Cuz I need this bag!!!
You have a lot of great ideas using leather. HOWEVER, COMMA, you have this BAD habit of cutting your pieces out of the middle, leaving a lot of waste. THEN, like in your one video, you talked about all of the bags of leather left over. LOL
This is one of those channels where you can press the like button before the intro card is over because the content is always top tier
Lol I was doing that WHILE reading your comment.
Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me😁
@@aaronlittle5478 you ain't the only one

Don’t worry I won’t let him forget

@@SkillTree I need to share some of my Talespire creations. I feel like I finally have something to contribute. 😁
@@aaronlittle5478 oooooh! I would love to see what you've made!
That is a real nice bag, I like that fix with the grommets and cordage for the bulges at the sides of the bag top
Thanks! I am glad that worked out. Was getting really nervous there for a moment.
love the bag and your nails

Strong work Amigo! Love your leatherwork.

Very nice work!
Maybe I'll try it with the top flap cut a little wider than the body.
Good idea! That would probably have helped lol.
TIL Clever's name is Kit. That makes his logo being a fox even better.
Such a *CL3VER* fox... see what I did there??
"Only like 60% of you are subscribed to the channel"
That's the highest percentage I've ever heard! We love ya
Every leather project I do feels like that "love how it's turning out but damn is it a pain in the ass"
Love this and the foam idea. What kind of foam is that?
“I don’t know what I’m doing.”
You remind me of the Modern Rogues, but like 30% more competent at making things.
Ever thought of using that foam as the inner layer for the case just take off the side pockets

12:40 would that of been easier with one of the bent needles?? Also Sheep wool would be a perfect thing to line it with
great video, i use the same technique for making my gussets!
Wow great job. I recently made a roll top backpack and I would love to see you try
Skill monkey approved awesome
Very cool 😀

Thank you so much! Alas, this bag is earmarked for someone. I may start selling the things I make though, now that I am feeling a bit more confident.
Oh sweet I’m next. Ahhh I can’t use my gremlin grin emoji
You know i would absolutely love to see you make a deck box for like mtg or yugioh
Only 60% subscribed! I would love that, lol I am around 5%. I agree, it is a very nicely done project Kit!
Wait, you're name isn't actually Cl3ver?! Betrayal!! Also, you are an expert at this point. In everything. Forever.
Shelden's messenger bag?
