Only thing honda needs to do to the accord is probably a bit more road noise reduction, give the option for 360 camera (since almost every competitor has it) and a better sound system. The perfect midsize sedan in my opinion.
They can fix the road noise by reducing the wheel size and with thicker side walls. But I'm curious to see the noise levels between different size wheels/tires. I'm guessing the LX and EXL trims have the lowest noise level due to the smaller wheels.

I hope you guys can review the 2022 2.0 liter Touring or Sport Accord sometime soon. While the 1.5 Turbo might be perfectly adequate, it really does not measure up to the kind of car the Accord 2.0 has become over the past several years. Although the direct competitor Camry XSE 2.5 may have just a skosh better value equation to it in terms of content, the Accord's overall packaging, polish, and dynamics make it more of an appealing option. Honda gambled on going full turbo, getting rid of the J35 V6, and radically changing the styling, but it paid off big time with a 4 year old vehicle that is still very fresh in light of the Camry, 6, and Altima. Honda still must address NVH, notably road noise, on their vehicles. Interestingly though, cars with the 19s on Michelins are wayy quieter than those on the Goodyear Eagles. We LOVE our 2021 2.0T Touring. The car's steering has a certain aliveness to it that defies its FWD family car roots. A lot of car for the $33K we paid.
@@smokesgtp indeed. We purchased right in the middle of the pandemic last year when everyone wasn't traveling. For a Honda, we did pretty good. We love the car. We just sold the wife's BMW 535 xDrive for $38k to VROOM as she likes the Honda much better. Insane!
The 9th generation of the Honda Accord made it hard for the 10th Gen to compete with… but the 10th generation was still a handsome car looking forward to what the 11gen 😀
I would like to see an Accord Type R.... Some people might think its ridiculous but the accord body styles can really pull off the looks. the current gen accord already got the same engine as the Type R with the 2.0T just detuned. Just gotta give the accord a body kit it deserve.

What they can with the touring trims is to put better speaker quality in there.... If im paying nearly 40k for a car i would like some good sounding sound system. Even the new 2022 civic has bose speaker in it
The Accord EXL hybrid is amazing, great software, wonderful interior, and amazing ride. The thing I would love to see if better front sensors, 360 camera, and a higher definition camera. I think the most annoying thing is the camera, it has such low resolution.

You honestly can't go wrong with the Accord but not the 1.5t. One of the best cars on the road to wear the RED color. It was one of the two cars I looked at back at the end of 2019 but I chose the 2019 Camry XSE V6. I traded in my 2016 Altima 3.5SR before the warranty ran out, got exactly what I wanted on the trade and paid off my Camry in just under 23months for a total cost of $32,038.26 thanks to principal only payments ;-). Wind chill pearl with the panoramic roof of course, forget about it! Both cars are great and it really comes down to your personal preference, The Honda is great value, quicker than the Camry and handles better........Camry has the naturally aspirated V6, LED lighting on everything, all leather seats, panoramic roof, and a much better stereo system unless you pay more. I love the looks of both cars but to me the Camry tends to turn more heads than the Accord.
@@KingTriton1837 Like I said, "it really comes down to your personal preference". One thing to mention and I don't know if its still true today, the horror stories I heard about Honda's paint issues which included paint peeling off on their cars! One of the reasons I had for trading in my 2016 Altima was the paint flaking off in the trunk area........I had a 2002 Altima 3.5SE that I bought new in 2001, it was black, the paint was soft, it would scratch easy but never in the16 years of ownership did the paint ever flake or peel off!
Well that's subjective but I'd take the power train and athletic chassis of the Accord any day over the camry. The accord is just a better car all the way around . And thats coming from someone who's owned a 2019 camry. As for paint you could always get a quality paint job. Anyways that's just my preference but others may want it all off the lot .
I mean if you want a “sports car” get one. This is a Sedan, an every day diver. I have a 2021 sport, love the fuel efficiency. My 2018 civic ext felt more sportier honestly. But overall I love this car.

@Victor Mendez Ahh. Both good cars. I suggest taking both for a drive and looking at all the things you like. Compare them and see which one works better for you. I researched my purchase for a few months. It checked all the boxes for me. Good luck.
I just bought the sport SE yesterday and I’m not happy with the amount of road noise I think that should definitely be improved and the sound system can be better as one of your other comments stated and I agree I feel like I left my hybrid which was smooth and roomy I left it for a sub par car I’m a little disappointed but I got the sonic gray which I’ve always wanted so that’s a plus

There are really only 3 major things on my wish list for the '23. I want a bigger gas tank, a much improved sound system and I would love even more power and performance.
I doubt it, Accord can still use the current design for at least 2 years until new generation, I mean, If a Honda model/models is/are gonna get a new generation, it would be HRV, CRV, and Pilot, these 3 desperately need a new generation.
Can you review the EXL trim level? Because it's either you're doing the Touring or Sport or Sport SE. Edit: Also Honda is charging more for less from last year's refresh with the Sport SE ands dropping EX. Another note is 19" wheels sucks for fuel economy, ride comfort and possibility for bent wheels and expensive low profile tires. And you can't get 2.0T on the Sport SE but you can on the regular Sport and you're forced with a 2.0T with the EXL now. Doesn't make any sense.

Accord si what? My man you want to take water and oil to mix them. Honda is smart, they make you pick one or buy both. Can’t have the best of both worlds bud. I understand what you want, but that’s just blasphemy. Accord was not meant to be a sports car, more of a family/luxury sedan.

Just traded in my 2020 for a 2022 Nissan Maxima. I brought the Honda in 2019 with 2 miles on it. Fuel door actuator went bad along w/ needing a jump Twice because the battery failed out of the blue. I agree the Accord does been in a Camry wasn't impressed only thing like styling and huge rearview camera other huge disappointment. Accord is now better than Camry now.
As for me Camry feels really more peppy. You have power right away. It’s NA 2.5 while Honda Have small displacement engine with turbo lag and second CVT transmission kind of slower side. Nissan Cvt transmission tuned way much better. Anyway not fan of turbos or cvt transmission.

As vehicles becoming more complex and computerized, Honda dealership should conduct training classes for some purchasers who want to learn more about its operation. My wife was having trouble operating the vehicle and understanding all the icons, messages, and screen navigation. Similarly, some people ought for flip phones instead of smart phones.
I own a 2018 Sport trim with the 1.5T engine. It's a wonderful car in every aspect except the CVT transmission which is average at best. I'm still pissed they dropped the manual transmission in all Accords. Shame on Honda.

Just got the Honda Accord sport 1.5 the only thing I don’t like about it is the auto start/stop. It was a hard choice since i was debating toward the crosstrek or accord but now I’m looking at Impreza.
I'd like to see a test of head and leg room. Can a tall guy like me, 6 foot 6, sit without banging head on sill or knees on dash? Can the same guy sit comfortably as a passenger in the back seat?
The Accord is beautiful especially with that white color if went back to a car would get this in one in white want with light color interior seems light color interiors make a car cabin look beautiful than charcoal looks so cold. I would purchase the 2.0t Sport at first when this came out 4 years ago as earlier model didn't like the body thought looked like a crossover over sedan vs. hatchback now all these years later looks beautiful. It looks sporty as it's cousin Altima and Mazda 6 which love those as well.
The 10th generation Accord is best in class. I own the Accord EXL 2.0 engine that is smooth and really fast. However there are some areas where Honda cut cost like the cheap speakers found in the "premium" audio system. Also the light aluminum hood tends to vibrate. I would not recommend models having the 19 inch rims and the low profile tires. There is very little rubber between the road and these 245/35-19 tires. These low profile tires are useless in the snow and the large rims tend to bend if they hit a pothole. It's simply form over substance. Given these few short comings the Accord is still the car to be beat.
No cvt or turbo for me. I know Honda develops there own turbo but I just see turbo significantly decreasing the longevity of their cars. I wish they go back to naturally aspirated.

We LOVE our 2021 2.0T Touring. The car's steering has a certain aliveness to it that defies its FWD family car roots. A lot of car for the $33K we paid.
Tons of value for the money. Nice work paying only 33k in this market.
@@smokesgtp indeed. We purchased right in the middle of the pandemic last year when everyone wasn't traveling. For a Honda, we did pretty good. We love the car. We just sold the wife's BMW 535 xDrive for $38k to VROOM as she likes the Honda much better. Insane!

I would like to see an Accord Type R.... Some people might think its ridiculous but the accord body styles can really pull off the looks. the current gen accord already got the same engine as the Type R with the 2.0T just detuned. Just gotta give the accord a body kit it deserve.

@@smokesgtp as for the brand it's a Japanese brand that will outlast that accord by a distance, the one I'm referring to. Mine is a Canadian spec and most of the features missing from that accord come standard over here. That's all I have to say. Generally speaking, Americans always will get shafted when it comes to features and that may do with the fact that some only care about 0-60 while not focusing on features which is giving manufacturers an excuse to charge more for less especially Americans. Case closed and if you have any question ask and I will be more than happy to tell you.

Got a 2020 2.0T. It is nice all around

This car’s design has aged very well maybe the 11th Gen Accord would be just as amazing
I don't know about that last part. The Accord definitely turns as many heads as the Camry.
How you manage the principle only payments ? Lol might be a dumb question just curious
@@ciscoa4932 I'd also like to know the answer.
I mean if you want a “sports car” get one. This is a Sedan, an every day diver. I have a 2021 sport, love the fuel efficiency. My 2018 civic ext felt more sportier honestly. But overall I love this car.
Bought my 2019 Sport new in May of 2019, 43k miles later still love my car. Very cheap to maintain. Getting about 36-38mpgs mixed driving in FL. Only complaint is a bit of road noise. New tires will be installed in May. More tread compared to the oems. Hopefully it helps a bit.
Im in between this and the camry trd, im still unsure lol
@Victor Mendez Ahh. Both good cars. I suggest taking both for a drive and looking at all the things you like. Compare them and see which one works better for you. I researched my purchase for a few months. It checked all the boxes for me. Good luck.

Great review
I just bought the sport SE yesterday and I’m not happy with the amount of road noise I think that should definitely be improved and the sound system can be better as one of your other comments stated and I agree I feel like I left my hybrid which was smooth and roomy I left it for a sub par car I’m a little disappointed but I got the sonic gray which I’ve always wanted so that’s a plus
I got the ex l hybrid and it has a adaptive noise cancelation that works pretty good. It’s almost silent in the cab
@@bryanhoppet5130 yessss that’s what I went in for but with the shortage I would have had to wait and pay an additional fee …can you believe that?!…and it was a hefty fee 3000…so I took what was on the lot which wasn’t much. I have a '20 Accord Touring 2.0T that I absolutely love! I am so hoping that Honda gives us even more great stuff with the completely redesigned '23 model coming next fall. There are really only 3 major things on my wish list for the '23. I want a bigger gas tank, a much improved sound system and I would love even more power and performance.

Is it bad I feel like
Vin Diesel everything I get behind the wheel ?
No cvt or turbo for me. I know Honda develops there own turbo but I just see turbo significantly decreasing the longevity of their cars. I wish they go back to naturally aspirated.
I believe Mitsubishi makes the turbos for Honda.
