I'm at 2217 miles on my DongFang 250 DualSport. Other than loose bolts (which was fixed with locktite) and me getting the plastic gas tank punctured (Fixed with JB Weld). It has been running absolutely fine. I do an oil change every 750 miles and haven't had any heating issues. I'd love a tear down on this bike and perhaps future torture tests on other bikes to see what fails first.

Your little test is actually pretty dumb buddy. It's not going to really prove anything either way. This is an air cooled motorcycle and your letting the engine rev at high rpms as it sets there not moving. It's like taking the radiator off of a water cooled motorcycle and doing the same thing. By having the motorcycle set there not moving which means no airflow over the engine , your taking away it's cooling factor. It will overheat , just like any Japanese, European, or any other engine will do. At first I was excited to see how long it will last , then I realized the cooling will be removed from the factor and now it means really nothing.
