Love how gixxerbrah is a casual starring guest now
As he should be! Love the chemistry between those two
Natural progression. Love it
Until he runs out of guest passes if u know u know.
@@CTRLaltKNIFEyeah that sucks. maybe they can find a way to make it cheaper or something i don't know
Yammies in a lot of his videos now too and I’m here for it
I love how Yammie got an email from offering to send him the bike in exchange for good review. Instead, he buys it and makes a series out of how bad it is!😂
He is really doubling down reviewing this bike...it's hilarious!
Bro really said x^-1
Horrendous this thing is lol Makes sense how they wanted him to make positive review on it, lol
@@MJT-DA I thought he was gonna say 'Folks I woke up this morning... and I choose violence' :P
Yo
ive owned this exact bike for a year.....Its not as bad as hes saying, its worse. it was my trainer/learner and its just awful. when i sold it i felt legitimately bad for the guy buying, but i had to get off the thing.
Love the series. they sell other bikes and would love to see you rip on them as well.
Had me in the first half not gonna lie. What did you end up moving up to?
@@SvgeMars got on marketplace and picked up an 80s honda cx500 custom.
@@pogothem3526 awesome. Ride safe brother
lmfao can't believe you sold it
I wouldn't have the heart to sell it to someone lmao
The Boom is now Yammie's version of the "Top Gear laps in a reasonably priced car". We've got Yam, Bruh, and Brandon. This should continue as a bit of fun segment for the channel. I feel like my dual sport CRF250l would beat this "sport bike", ymmv. Thanks for the content.
a japanese 125 sportbike has more hp and less weight LMAO
i can beat that on a fuking scooter
Watching Brandon on the Boom was almost like playing the old arcade style motorcycle games..... just hold it wide open and it just handles and brakes goofy when it wants to.
the best bit was yammie effortlessly passing him at like 60-70 while the chinese bike said nearly 90. makes you wonder how fast it's even going.
90kmh is around 55-60mph
Pretty sure that bike is displaying in km/h (even if the dash says mph)
Imagine if everyone in a race was using the boom 🤣
They get passed by the track sweeper crew in an F350.
They should make Boom racing series! It would be comical!
Yo we may need that a venom racing series….. only venom bikes all pro riders
Yes! 🤪👍
@@nope.c it would be the best. There's so many dimensions to it. How hard can you push that hunker until it breaks? Or breaks you? Or you break each other? 🤣 It would be the only "sensible" application for these machines I can think of
LMAO, Yam secretly obsessed with the BOOM
I got a Chinese bike as my first bike this year. Ven x22gt 250cc.
Now if I was a rich dude who had access to unlimited bikes, and my goal was to ride down the twisty roads at 90mph, win races, or go on a cross country tour... I guess I would say the bike "sucks."
Riding around the city or taking 30 mile trips down the quiet state routes at a speed limit of 55 to your favorite waterfall or hiking spot... The bike does it's job and is fun to ride. Plenty of people, including myself get these bikes, have a great time with it, and don't have to spend a fortune on a big brand name bike to get in two wheels and feel the wind.
(I’m aware I’m late)
Man… I just.
That thing is a death trap.
You could have taken the money spent on it and bought an older Japanese bulletproof (good) bike instead.
That’s why I hate these things.
They’re insidious. I hope you get the chance to upgrade before the worst comes.
I have never seen a nice guy like Yammy hate a friend so much. That Boom is a death trap. The 'the bike makes its own line" comment was everything you need to know about that superbike. "Squeeze the brick" had me howling. I hope Yammy bought beers for him and provides all the therapy he needs. Yikes!
The Boom is the broken controller you give your younger sibling just because. 😂
I forwarded your video to a friend of mine that lives in Japan he actually works for Honda. He said you guys must not value life too much riding a Chinese bike.🤣🤣🤣
Lmao tell bro to a broke uti student out with a job😭. (Can’t blame me for trying😂🙏🏽)
@@jeftehernandez7259 ... what?
@@asiberiantiger188 Think he wants a job at honda
@@jeftehernandez7259 I got a 07 Yamaha Vstar 1300 with 17k miles for $2800. You can get a Rebel 250 for $2000. There's no good justification. You're better off going without than wasting your money on garbage
I would want bulletproof armour wearing it incase the motor suddenly became a grenade haha
That company must love you by now lol
You need to race the Boom against the Rebel 250. That would be a race for the ages... and the memes🤣
I'm putting money on the Rebel. And I'm going to assume you meant the older version not the new one LOL 😂.
Even better would be against a gixxer 250 or a grom
@@yournumberonepal I'm with you, (and yes I meant the older one.)
I used to own a '97 Rebel but 125cc. May be slower (hardly got to 100 km/h - about 60 mph?) but I would beat the Boom on the twists :D
As a manufacturer that frequently visits China, the biggest issue on all current Chinese sports bikes are the designer/engineers have zero racing background. But CFmoto had currently hired several Japanese pro racers and hopefully we'll see something amazing in the near future at a fraction of the price versus the Japanese and European sports bikes.
I didn't think it was possible to have brakes so bad that still technically function
i think the brakes on a childs bike work better
You must have never ridden a bike with drum brakes, it’s absolutely horrible. You grab all the front you can and stomp the rear, and you slow down gradually. Full braking it takes about 6 seconds to stop from 30mph
@@love2fight205 Only British & Japanese drum brakes are bad. A European made Twin leading Shoe drum brake will lock up a front wheel at 70 MPH, especially with modern ceramic & sintered brake shoes.
The problem with drum brakes is that they need to be set up, by an expert, to work effectively, not by some amateur Kevin with no clue what he's doing.
@@love2fight205drum brakes actually have way more stopping power than modern disk brakes (more surface to grip on), it's just that those were some horrible quality ones
Edit: Disk brakes are much easier to cool tho
Papa yams has really turned me on to motorcycles and I plan on taking the msf course next month and I wanna get my first motorcycle before I move out man seeing all the bikes and meeting all these riders has really inspired me
hey dude, have you bought something yet?
I don't usually cringe when watching on track vids but this one had me scrunching up. Brandon you are a beast! When the front brake grabbed I just knew you were going to eat it.😂🤣 Stay Safe
Yammie Noob must now buy a dozen of these things and hold a race, make it pay per view and have everyone sign waivers first too.
Time to slap efi, an oil cooler and a turbo on the boom. And some brembo brake parts. as well as some suspension parts. Make it a FrankenChina bike.
I think these things to myself and ask: What's a turbo gonna boost to on a 250cc, like 2psi?
@@FarmerDrewprobably has a cast piston and not forged since its so cheap. Sounds like its gonna blow up on its stock compression haha
He hates the boom. But he's starting to understand and like it lol
Instead of just trashing the bike or jumping it, you should try to actually make it fast like a CR500 swap.
That Chinese Superbike company FOCUSED so much on it's SPEED While manufacturing that they Almost forget about it's BRAKES .... !!!!! 😳🙄😮💨🤦🏻
These guys having SO MUCH FUN on this TRACKS. I wished to ride with them..😢
This is very instructional tho. See how this professional rider is only worrying about the brakes. Not really anything else just the most important factor. Take notes people use your brakes
In all fairness, I wish to point out that you were matching a bike with a 229cc (or thereabouts) engine derived from a Honda engine from the 1980s, an engine originally designed to be used on bikes sold in third-world markets, with a "modern" 390cc engine intended for sport bike use. Not exactly a fair comparison.
On the other hand, regarding the brakes, perhaps the "BOOM" logo on the tank is prophetical as to what happens immediately after applying those brakes.
I don't think I've laughed this hard in a long time. Thanks for the lols.
Specs:
Brakes: Sometimes
0-60: Probably not
HP: No
Exhaust: Like it's having an asthma attack
Shocks: Riding it and seeing how bad it is.
I'm probably in the minority here but seems cool that you could track a bike from a box delivered to your front door. Especially considering the person that buys a bike like this has absolutely no disposable income and would be pumped to hit 65 mph and brag to friends.
The shit bike looked downright dangerous on track, Brandon was absolutely flying on the ZX4RR though.
"This bike is horrible!!!" "BUY THIS MORE SUPER EXPENSIVE BIKE INSTEAD BECAUSE I SAID SO!!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Never fails . . .
Hear me out, he should go get a cr500 two stroke engine Brembo masters and blocks with some dual rotors in the front and change out the suspension for something that actually functions and make that thing a weapon.
@ᴍʀʏᴀᴍᴍɪᴇɴᴏᴏʙ nope
How you gonna do that to ur friends I was looking to get one and do a motor swap to just for fun and games but it would just break into pieces
These Chinese bikes have breaks that are legitimately dangerous. When you squeeze it doesn't bite, but when you squeeze hard all the bite engages and you slide the front immediately. Its an on and off switch, a real death trap.
This was gold, loved every second of the video!!
This was fun to watch. Looks like it had the power of my NSR125, with half the handling.
Late nineties NSR125 would do figures of eight around that thing, and leave Yammy in the dust behind it with Brandon riding.
You know they're just going to download this video, trim the footage, and use it to advertise their terrible, woeful "motorcycle" yeah? They'll use it to say "pro rider on our bike happy fun time" or something.
One question why would you buy a Chinese bike when we know how they feel about America??
Please do Grom versus Boom 👍👍
We need to see the Boom vs Royal Enfield
The Amazon bikes are perfect for a new rider.
They are way more forgiving on the throttle.
Dont go overly fast
Light
Perfect for a beginner esp if you throw in the fact you are basically the dealer so you learn how to fix them on a simple engine.
I grew up on worse starting out
I would of much preffered an amazon bike to the bike i learned on, we pulled an abanded trail bike out of the mud it was up the top of the handle bars.
We got it running and used vice grips for a.shifter
I have a lexmoto lxr 125 euro five which seems similar to this bike although it has dual disc brakes at the front and doesn't shake at higher speeds. Although it's not the fastest thing, i still feel confident on it and i genuinely think that chineese bikes are find if theyre made after 2021 and dont come in a box. Just my opinion but i love the thing either way
The sinnis GPX is a great little 125 sports bike too. I have a sinnis terrain 125 with all the boxes on it looks and feels like a much bigger bike and rides very well . Granted they are a UK company and not Chinese but they have the same rep cheap bikes that normally fall apart but recently they stepped their game up and now make some great learner and commuter bikes
@@acid3129 yeah, a lot of uk companies have found that loophole of taking chinese bikes and tweaking them to make them the same standard as pretty much every other bike that ends up in the uk. Still dont trust bikes in boxes tho lol and never will
@@rocketfludy2873 even Peugeot do it my last scooter was a peugeot v clic its just a rebadged chinese scooter with a knock off GY6 engine in it . one good thing was cheap parts from other chinese bikes fit the engine they sometimes cost 50% less than the same part with a peugeot logo on it
Not gonna lie this 250 makes me incredibly proud of my 06’ Vulcan 500 😂 atleast the detuned ninja 500 engine in mine will still get up and go 😅
the brah chillin at the intro cracked me up for some reason
Thanks Yam that was really fun. Appreciate you and your content. Great boots you sold me too.
For how bad it is.. im actually impressed its surviving the track.
You should take the Chinese CFmoto 450sr on track and see how that goes :)
Ahh yes. The chinese ninja 400🖤
@@Bikencarguy according to reviews it’s a bit superior to the ninja 400… better suspension, better brakes, the engine had a bit more meat in the lower end of the power band… it may dethrone the ninja 400…
@@sleeper.simulant7327 also heavier which brings all these things down. Also for a brand new bike it has way too much reliability issues. Can't imagine how bad it will be in a few years.
@@martinyzfr I haven’t read any reliability issues, not sure where you are getting they from. Also it’s barely heavier, 4 lbs compared to the Ninja 400 ABS. Not enough to make any difference…
@@sleeper.simulant7327 i can simply check 450sr's for sale near me, three out of four having a major engine problem
It was like when Ricky Bobby came back after his accident and was terrified at the speed of the other cars. 😂
HELL YEAH YAMMIE!
It helps to gentle press the brakes (both) as needed, and cont8nue the throttle as the steady speed for the curve. I love my scooter 😌
Man that guys a champ for taking on that pile at the track. Great content, super funny. Keep it up!
Hey, guys, the problem is; they ripped you off. You paid for a qualified 4stroke and they only sent you 3 of them.🥴 3strokes just don't work rightz
The boom with a 18hp riding lawnmower engine 😮😂.
I'd love to see Yammie test more of Chinese bikes. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Love the Gixxer Brah cameo. Quite the wholesome bromance. Would like to see more from Brandon on a proper bike.
gixxer brah just casually sitting there lol
Oh my effing gawd… I couldn’t stop laughing this whole video.
“OMG Brake. Squeeze the brick!” 😂😂😂
They shouldn't be street legal there friggin dangerous junk.
It's not really a fair comparison putting that 230cc sewing machine against a 373cc motorbike...
Maybe a blender against the Boom would give it a fighting chance 😂
Everything I know about bikes, i learnt on a chinese bike like this one. Worse off, mine was 200cc! And to add more salt to the wound, it didnt have a front break when i got it. Buh I still learnt.
I was looking at one to teach my daughter to ride. After watching this I will just work some OT and get her a Honda 125 to learn on i think
Could you review a SWM silver vase in the future?
Yammie should upgrade the brakes and get it mechanically tuned to see it's 'best case scenario'.
I love how the other bike reads 53 keeping steady with it and the speedometer on the 250 says 67 lmfao
Love the vid yam, keep em coming
The diiference between experiencing the track and surviving the track. 😂
You know, it actually did pretty well for a cheap motorcycle.
I'd like to see a race between the Boom and a good 125
Maybe no one noticed but, IS THAT GIXXER BRAH ON THE LEFT SIDE DURING THE INTRO 🤣😁😂
So many buyers never discover the real joy of owning this bike because they don't purchase the optional mowing deck attachment.
Perhaps the next video will be about improving the braking, handling & performance of the Boom??
should get another carb and tune and see.
How dare you pass the BOOM. Got a good laugh from that comment.
Yam can you do a thing where you try to make this bike actually decent so do a hot lap of a track stock then do a few mods to try improve it and see how much it would actually cost to get it to be a good 250 rivel
Is the white one ninja 300 and i guess kawasaki ks not Chinese 😢
So its not even okay for MSF classes? Yammie needs to take that thing out to the boys at Demolition Ranch and let them have a go at it with a belt fed weapon of war.
I have a 600cc but o do like how slim the 250cc are I just wish they had fatter tires
He would actually win. People would just pull over because they were laughing so hard.
Can you review the TVS Apache RR310
I was wanting the post laps debrief.
It’s probably a learning curve. You guys just need to get better duh
i love to see the brah in your videos!
God that thing is bad! Would love to see it up against a 1982 Honda CB250RS.
Hey pap yams I think there’s a scam and they are using your name
I have the impression that the bike is puting approximately the correct rpm at the crankshaft and the digital meter is puting the number of power strokes that is half the rpm for a 1 cylunder 4 stroke engine.
You know... i guess i lucked out on my 250cc DongFeng dual sport. Least it has great brakes.
Imagine if they rode 125cc bikes like a lot of us have to over in Europe
I dunno if it's just the cc that's the issue. Seems like the suspension and especially the brakes on this bike is the more terrifying thing.
It’s also heavy for being a “250”cc, extremely so, that paired up with a suspicious chassis makes for a bad ride
A 125 cc motorcycle is only slightly more than a motorized bicycle. It is essentially a basic appliance style transportation for third world. The last time I rode something that pathetic in power output I was only 13 years old. Sure glad I don't live in Europe. It would seem many Europeans are quite content to live the third world experience.😂😂😂
@kannermw I enjoy riding my keeway superlight 125, i would call that a small cc motorbike not a motorized bicycle that littlerally has pedals like some old bikes. I enjoy having free water, healthcare and a police service I don't have to worry about shooting me oh and free education is kinda nice too
@@jacobwhite9961 Make no mistake a 125 cc motorcycle is an aspiration to third world lifestyle not something to be proud of. A 125 cc motocycle in U.S. is mostly a death trap on street. Worse yet in buying Chinese bike you are supporting communist party and you apparently have no moral fiber. Instead it is only soy boy mentality and low price to suit your thinning third world wallet.
Nothing is ever free. The marginal tax rates in Europe are absurdly high and increasingly eroding your purhasing power. Consequently your standard of living is rapidly declining. Most Europeans have become mostly moochers depending on U.S. military to provide their national defense at U.S. taxpayer expense. Fortunately, that is coming to an end and now you will have to pay your fair share or suffer the consequences. Better think about what is happening in Ukraine and you are completely powerless to stop it. Whose side is China on and yet you hand them over your money? How's your Russian?
I thouraghly enjoyed this video hahah had me smirking and laughing the entire time haha super refreshing. Keep him on!
Gixxerbrah lowkey just chillin hahah
Maybe some weight reduction might worked. Taking off the engine and adding some crank and pedals, then the pro rider would had better chances to beat U ... 😅
@6:12 the KTM is at 50-ish mph and the Boom is at 67-ish mph... aShHaHeeeeeeEEeeeeeSh!
Were the tyres rubbish as well? Can't see a lot of lean angle going on!

you should race it with some 150-250-300cc cause probably it cant pass any of those thing
BOOM: Putting the lie to the adage, "It's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow"...
Can you put him on a standard Ninja 250 or similar cc basic motorcycle without features and try again? That would be fun to see.
Pls do a boom 250 vs a ninja 250 on the track!! Hehe!!
