I'm Singaporean yet Malaysia have the best food chain around. Malaysian are super friendly and hospitable, but the best thing about Malaysia not found anywhere here in Asia are the old world and modern world coexistence side by side with perfect harmony. Anyone can get old style cooking, in old 60s era buildings in modern atmosphere. Imagine a cuppa old style brewing coffee, roast bread with 2 half boiled eggs over looking the majestic high-rises buildings.. What a wonderful life it is
I'm malaysian and i do really hope that malaysia preserve its unique nature and traditional style such as clothing, food, infrastructure and values such as "gotong royong"

Hey Trevor, great introduction to Malaysia's most underrated durian. The kampung durian!! I prefer kampung durians cause of the complex flavours that it has over all the clones, and every durian tastes different, some amazing, some not so, like a surprise box, you never know what you gonna get. What I noticed from the video I feel, was not a representation of a good kampung durian, as the ripeness of the durian has already passed its prime, where the flesh has already become watery and soft. The part of the shell where the flesh sticks to has turned grey and soft. Floral scents of the durian would have been replaced with stronger smelling aromas. However everyone has their own way of enjoying durian, at every stage of its ripeness after the fruit falls from the tree. While what I think is to be the perfect ripeness, some might consider it to be under ripe. Would like to see you make a video about malaysian kampung durians and maybe wild jungle durians now that you're here in Malaysia. It's very rare to find good kampung durians and even more rare to find the wild durian varieties, which tastes absolutely mind blowing. So my question to you, pardon the rant, how do you like your durians?
