Having my own authority, I've been asked how much I "need" to move a load. I always ask, what are you offering? This pretty much tells me who's fishing. I'm not that persons bait !!! Hard to find someone wanting to make "some" $$$
You don't think you can gain some type of relationship with the broker? Or have you been burned/lied to/screwed too many times to fall for it again? I deal with people all the time and we don't really like each other, but we do have some mutual respect.
@@lifestream4191 all of the above ... I'm currently doing P/O and no contract. They pay weekly, dispatch and extremely flexible. I'm on & off the road when needed

@brandon Great video. I am a new Broker, I have 4 trucks but I don't have my Carriers Authority so would you recommend that I get that Authority to overcome the N problem? I never pursued it because my drivers haul rail containers and come home nightly.
