Thank you Brandon, I was a truck driver for nearly 23 years and due to a severe side effect from chemotherapy I recently had, I am not able to or will ever be able to pass my DOT physical again. I prayed hard to find a career that I can do from home that I know something about and broker agent came to mind. I am signed up for a class but I'm a nervous wreck! I have never had to call a shipper other than to get directions or an appointment time. I'm not a sales person at all, but I'm going to give it a shot and that is in thanks to you for all of your help and encouragement.

This has been the best source to get started. I just made my first call with similar introduction and it was not successful, but it made me feel good that I finally started on the first step. My husband and I drove otr for almost 4 years as team drivers, and now as we transition over to freight brokers, we do feel we can bring a unique level of understanding what issue's shippers deal with, based on our own driving experiences. Thank you Brandon, I have been searching for little under a year are so for this exact type of topic on "how to talk to a shipper" theirs really not a lot. So this was just overall the best one so far and loved your motivation gestures. I'm new at this, kind of been just letting my broker license sit in for a good 6 months are so before I start trying to step forward and while in mean time, educating myself by watching video's and reading feeders, comments on facebook , youtube, and books on freight broking. I did try my first cold call out to shipper and I literally froze more then once and I would start off by explaining what I can offer and that was always confusing to me because I'm new and I feel like I cannot offer much so yes, I would freeze up every time but it is exciting. Brandon your videos help so much, I appreciated.
