I just want to say, what a fantastic episode. The callback to the first episode of the original series was incredible. I was emotionally invested, i teared up a bit at the captures. Truly an amazing episode. And it ended with a mysterious frequency. I truly love this story and series. I simply cannot wait for more.

They say that those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it, but in this case, it was a good thing that Marc put himself in harms way to not only protect Meowth and Pichu from the poachers, but also declaring that he'll be a shield and friend to all Pokémon. I also like how Marc meeting Misty is a throwback to the first episode on how she met Ash. Love the tribute to the original series and looking forward to the next episode.

Really enjoyed the episode. It had a lot to dig through, so i watched it again. I love the throwbacks to Ash's original journey.
I'm interested to see where Anthony v Meowth plot goes. He obviously has a Giovanni/Team Rocket sized chip on his shoulder.
The Meowth/Pichu friendship reminded me of the Litten/Stoutland friendship in Sun & Moon.
This episode felt like the first part of a 2-parter with Rachel's contest and Marc's gum battle to come

Great episode, nice reference to the very first Pokemon episode and the friendship of Pichu (Ray) and Meowth (Darius) was cute. Was definitely surprised in seeing that Marc caught them both, but it's definitely welcome, for he now has caught two similar Pokemon to Ash and Team Rocket! Interesting in Darius being in a Luxury Ball, maybe a reference to that XY episode where Pikachu almost caught Meowth in a Luxury Ball in the Pokeballl Factory xD Not sure on what the ending means but possibly a new evil threat and some new created Pokemon similar to Mewtwo or something.. But again, this was a great episode!

@@stg5444 Incorrect. Staryu evolves using a Water Stone and has done so in every generation. EliteMJ has the right of it. Google is a great search engine, but its results aren't perfect.

This episode was substantial
provided some memorable moments. However, it did contain a considerable amount of content, including four captures and an evolution, which raises concerns about potential pacing issues and the risk of insufficient development for certain plotlines. While episodes with minimal action can be tedious, this episode felt somewhat overloaded. For instance, the potential for character development between Anthony and Meowth could be overlooked due to the need to progress the narrative. It is not my intention to criticize the series, as I genuinely enjoy it, but it is important to acknowledge and address potential areas for improvement.

I also disagree. This felt like a special episode, which MJ said it would be. Also, this is fanfiction on RUclips. The pace isn't going to be like the real anime that has large teams behind development. This is just for fun. So enjoy or find something that is your cup of tea.
I understand your perspective. I continue to find value in the series and anticipate its future development. It appears that our preferences simply differ in this regard.
