Preparing the Chalice

Preparing the chalice for Mass takes practice but the beauty of the veiled chalice once you’re done makes the intricate work worth it. Start with an empty chalice, a wafer (People’s for Low Mass, Priest’s for High Mass), a purificator (the cloth over the cup), the paten and the pall. Carefully place the veil over the pall and fold it in the back. Your veil should cover the front of the chalice completely.
