This is another way to see how to veil the Chalice.

Preparing the Altar is preparing for everything the Celebrant needs to celebrate Mass. Start with a corporal (the folded cloth used to catch any pieces of the Body of Christ), 2 purificators (one on the top right, one on the bottom left), and a handkerchief. Make sure the cross of the corporal is facing towards the front of the Altar. Finally, place the Gospel face down on the corporal.

Preparing the chalice for Mass takes practice but the beauty of the veiled chalice once you’re done makes the intricate work worth it. Start with an empty chalice, a wafer (People’s for Low Mass, Priest’s for High Mass), a purificator (the cloth over the cup), the paten and the pall.
