The devs just liked the idea and implemented upon it to add a much more satisfying gameplay, but everything he said is rip off of the vampire survivors is actually from magical survivor and i really dislike how he ranted about it like the vampire survivors devs had this whole idea themselves
Where's My Water, Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, PvZ (even the second game), these are actually GOOD mobile games that had love and effort put into it. Now every mobile game is either unoriginal ad filled pieces of shit, or free advertizing for already large IPs.
Same, seen a review saying it copied VS and another mobile game. Then I saw the ad for the mobile port in the game awards and decided to get the mobile port. (I have the paid steam version with dlc now)
they are definitely using that one AI that simulates the voice of other people, seems the reason as to why it sounds realistic either they're too lazy to voice it themselves or don't want to lose money hiring some sort of voice actor for it. which in this case they're just lazy lol

There's an actually good free Vampire Survivors inspired game called "Holocure" that isn't just a cheap rip-off. It has original ideas. And to top it all off, not only is it free, but there are no microtransactions at all.
I honestly prefer holocure over vampire survivors because it just does alot of thing better like animation,bosses,characters and the shop, but nothing against vampire survivors I have played and enjoyed it but I just feel like holocure has more content
The sad part is the fact that there are actual hidden gems on mobile but the market is overtaken by the quickly slapped together money laundering schemes
The most interesting thing is that the developer from Vampire Survivors worked for making slot games for casinos and got inspired to make a game with elements from those slot games and he made Vampire Survivors, which is basically the addiction and dopamine that the slot games have, but without the risk of losing your entire savings, and you only have to buy the game once and that's it.
The hilarious part is that Vampire Survivors is also free on mobile, and it’s not like the immobile version has super manipulative micro transactions. So it’s not like it’s even worth playing over the original over the price.
May I say that in this same videogame genre there was a predecesor to vampire survivors that was mostly just gameplay, while vampire survivors added secrets and more appealing designs that kept the players engaged. If you wanna give a try to an early stage of this formula, the game was called magic survivor on the play store.

Technically its not really a ripoff, the genre is called bullet hell or 'Manic Shooter' , the concept is preety simple but i do believe that vampire survivors is a prime example of perfect execution of this concept
Bullet hells are games where you constantly have to dodge bullets (like enter the gungeon). I've heard these games be called "bullet heaven" which I think makes sense

I recently tried out Vampire Survivors after finding out it was free on the app store, and holy crap, it beats 99% of mobile games out of the water. Better items, better mechanics, awesome secrets, great progression and NO FORCED ADS OR MICROTRANSACTIONS. Survivorio is a complete pile of garbage in comparision.
I am sorry to dissapoint but there have been so many Vampire Survivor clones out there. Mostly on steam which is very suprising but also not at the same time. I know a friend who plays some of them and says that some of them are more fun to play than VS but i can't tell you if that's true because i don't play these types of games. Honestly there are so many of them that you can pretty much call it a genre at this point. Brotato is probably the most popular game that plays like VS but that one came out before it so i guess you can't say it's a clone. Another one is Soulstone Survivor which is definitely inspired by Vampire Survivor because it came out a few months later
Something that I hate. Is that ripoff games like these (and that game where you drop shovels which I’ve seen dumb ads for as well) either blatantly copy aspects of other games and put their own micro transactions and graphics over it. Or, (this is why that Minecraft shovel app dose) they use graphics from other games to get people to download and the final game ends up both being and looking drastically different than advertised.

I recently tried out Vampire Survivors after finding out it was free on the app store, and holy crap, it beats 99% of mobile games out of the water. Better items, better mechanics, awesome secrets, great progression and NO FORCED ADS OR MICROTRANSACTIONS.
Survivorio is a complete pile of garbage in comparision.

I am sorry to dissapoint but there have been so many Vampire Survivor clones out there. Mostly on steam which is very suprising but also not at the same time. I know a friend who plays some of them and says that some of them are more fun to play than VS but i can't tell you if that's true because i don't play these types of games. Honestly there are so many of them that you can pretty much call it a genre at this point. Brotato is probably the most popular game that plays like VS but that one came out before it so i guess you can't say it's a clone. Another one is Soulstone Survivor which is definitely inspired by Vampire Survivor because it came out a few months later

Something that I hate. Is that ripoff games like these (and that game where you drop shovels which I’ve seen dumb ads for as well) either blatantly copy aspects of other games and put their own micro transactions and graphics over it. Or, (this is why that Minecraft shovel app dose) they use graphics from other games to get people to download and the final game ends up both being and looking drastically different than advertised.
I'm not trying to say the game is good, but it's not a rip off. it was released 2 months before vampire survivors was on steam, and VS didn't invent the game style as I've played many games like this since long time ago. Again, I'm not saying that it's a good game or anything, I'm just saying it's not a rip-off of VS.

magic survival is the first game of this style, and no one talks about it. it is released on February 13th 2021 while vampire survival came out on 31 march 2021. and i played it since the start.
Wait bruh theres some educational game like this called blooket that one of my teacher uses, I think every level you get you have to answer a question for it and its really easy and you have infinite lives

I remember seeing that ad of Minecraft spamming shovels and I saw their original ad change into a Roblox Robux scam saying that you can get Robux rewards for playing it
Actually the worst thing about this game is that vampire survivors is literally FREE on mobile devices and just have reward ads that's it, that's all the monetization in it except for the dlc which cost a buck just a BUCK
It's also a rip off of a game that does Vampire survivor kinda better, 20 minutes till dawn, love 20MTD, it's the same price i believe

I’ve seen the stupid Minecraft ad of shovels dropping, I checked out the reviews and the way down the game looked nothing like the ad
It is a rip off but you can kind of get a few differences from it. Like I played it for a while and it has levels and a gear system instead of upgrades based off of how much money you got from the last run.
This one is actually good atleast I played it for like 4 months it’s good
