There used to be a minecraft ripoff on android that was literally just minecraft but with a texture pack, you could even play multiplayer with people that actually played minecraft and they got away with it for too long lmao

Fun fact Minecraft itself is actually a fangame, a long time ago there was a game in development called "Infiniminer". Somewhere down the line the game suffered a source code leak and was cancelled (I believe?), shortly after that notch uploaded a video called "Cave Game Tech Test" and said something about "this is an infiniminer clone i'm working on" Minecraft is technically the ultimate fangame.

The common misconception is that Minecraft (which I’m going to spell as mc to save space) is a copy of terraria (which same thing I did with mc I’m now calling terraria t) but mc and t were in development at the same time so now we have both a 2d builder and platformer and a 3d platformer,what did we do to deserve this?
I feel like Minecraft has grown such a big name for itself that it’s practically it’s own game instead of “the ultimate fan game” imo

I’ll leave you with this,it’s a weird fun block game that probably shouldn’t have succeeded yet it did and that’s pretty cool that a game(an Indy game for that matter)practically made a new kind of game,that in my opinion is pretty cool.

I played Block Craft 3D just a few years ago! Honestly to me then it was not that bad, except for the troublesome block refilling. I like how you could section out whole buildings you’ve built as an asset and then use it to clear land/build a duplicate of somewhere else. I also like the fact there’s no hostile entities and the world is infinite. The music is a bit repetitive but I liked it and now it brings nostalgia. Had a lot of fun with that one.

I've had multi craft before and it was just funny. The Villagers will actually fight mobs and instead of redstone it's called blue stone. And it's way to easy to find a dungeon and the spiders are pretty cool. And if your in a desert and you start mining u could find a really big and really awesome desert temple which I made into a house.

Pocket Craft: Survivor Mode genuinely scared the shit out of me as a kid, couldn't buy normal minecraft back then and thought it was the same but free. ended up getting way too scared and had like nightmares of the zombies lmao.

funnily enough, i played that first one a couple years back, and after the first couple of hours, it becomes a nice relaxing building game. (except for the block refills and when you complete a build (its a little more fitting when you do a big build like the horse stables))

I remember I played World Of Cubes Survival Craft all the time as a kid. There were some people who were genuinely dedicated to the game and had some admittedly pretty neat builds. Like I remember this one Pokemon server, and a High School, and a Maze. And when you beat the maze, you get to watch from the top of the maze to see other people suffer. And the skins that cost money I got for free because the Amazon Kindle Fire, the device I used, had some kind of program that made all the in-app purchases free

@@mariodamian9477 No, not Luckypatcher. It was some kind of official Amazon thing that made certain apps completely free and let you get all the in-app purchases for free. I would get a crap ton of rings in Sonic Dash that way, and I got to play most of the Goat Simulator games for free. Also I was probably way too young to get something like Luckypatcher to work
@Pain Actually it was a legitimate thing lol. It was called 'Amazon Underground' and the apps it affected were labeled 'Actually Free'. Sadly the service shut down a while ago from what I've heard :(

I remember this one ripoff where you would spawn in the world and play like normal Minecraft. What made it so unique was that it would also give you quests that you had to find. The only one I can remember is that you had to save the king’s daughter from a dragon in the lava realm. You would later kill the dragon with magic arrows after completing the 4 overworld quests.
I can’t remember the name of it, but it’s unfortunately not available on the App Store anymore.

Damn I remember playing cops n robbers 7 years ago. I’m glad to see someone enjoy one of my favorite childhood games. The game was at its best about 5 years ago when It looked less childish.

There used to be a game I played called BlockHeads or something like that. It was basically a 2D Minecraft if Minecraft had a baby with Terraria. It was nice and all, but sometimes your world would get corrupted and you’d lose everything. Happened too many times to me and I just uninstalled. All that hard work was basically for nothing

Blockheads was my childhood before I had mcpe, I remembered joining a world called "DOKI DOKI ANIME" and how the people there just impersonated Doki Doki Literature club characters, had tons of fun playing there until I just lost access to the said world.

I remember playing "gimmick" minecrafts. They were mostly identical with the same basic items, but all of them had some kind of differences. I only remember a FNAF one and a desert one but I'm sure that there were more, I kinda remember playing a medieval version too.
Edit: I tried to find the medieval one but seemingly those games don't exist anymore.

The second rip off you showd us was made with unity, I see how, they used Unity's Partical System for almost the entire game, that reminds me how Dani loves Unity's Partical System for his games.

Fun fact: I used to play the old version of block world which didn’t use to be this trash
How to play:so instead of selecting a building and just placing it you could place a blueprint of the building and then you have to place EVERY SINGLE BLOCK,well on the small buildings are fine but there are big structures you can build such as a mansion a skyscraper and THE EIFFEL TOWER which I didn’t finished building
