You're getting better and better at these videos Cesar. I like it when you take a tool and manipulate it to make it work for you, I've done it many times.
One can never have too many guitars! :) A very good overview of the Little Martin Cesar, I should have went into more detail like this on the one I worked on. I agree with the top being the main component, however the back and sides are as important in order to achieve the very best sound, Martin, Taylor and other companies have bought up Brazilian and Indian rosewood because of this. The neck wood contributes to the sound as well, which is why a capo shoved behind the nut (when not in use) greatly effects the overall tone and volume. Great video mang!
+Randy Schartiger Thanks for the comment Randy! You are right - never too many but as I am not gigging for close to three years and not doing the session work since I am in China I felt somehow guilty... regarding the neck wood I cannot agree more with you in acoustic guitars and you have even proven it in one of your videos....back and sides in my experience are not that relevant. In my honest opinion the combination of geometry and top are the key in the projection. But I am always happy to learn, of course! Will continue my research on that... Thanks Randy, really appreciate your comments and mastery!
Hello! Good deal ! it is a great sounding little beauty indeed! I have a couple of covers in the channel with the Little Martin. Once I solved the issue of the high fret, it was perfect. Welcome back anytime, thanks for watching and commenting`!
Good video Cesar, I have always wondered about that little Martin now I know way more than I did. I have more guitars now than when I was younger. I have been playing 3/4 size classical guitar and I really like it. I will be looking for your next video!!!!!!🎸🎸🎸👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😊
+Steve Harris Thanks so much, Steve. I did what you advised me to do - searched a lot and found very confusing info regarding the truss rod of the Little Martin on the net, as you told me. So I thought it was good to make it clear.. Regarding the guitars, since I am in China I cannot gig and I have also suspended my session work in the studios so I felt a little guilty of buying another one but...I Did!
Great video my friend! Very interesting little guitar, perfect for traveling. I think alternative materials are going to be necessary and I tend to agree with you that geometry is probably the most important aspect to the sound. However, I love the look of a beautiful piece of wood. Looking forward to the demo!
+guitarstruggles Thanks Bill as always... I agree with you, alternative materials are going ot play a key role in the future of guitar too...I love a nice piece of wood too, Bill, that is for sure. Stay tuned my friend, and I really appreciate your continuous support.
+Bluelightbandit Hi D! Thanks so much for the continuous support! Yes..it sounds super nice - you will listen in the next videos... Regrading the FSC Certified Richlite thing... works OK, it is highly compressed paper with some resins... The material has been used for kitchenboards, walls, and even in the military industry for example. I am giving you the link to the page here www.richlite.com/sustainability/fsc-certified-paper.html As a Chemist I can assure you is a very interesting material :-)
Good review Cesar. The Little Martin could serve as a nice travel guitar. It’s too bad you had to do some fret work on a new guitar but I’m sure it plays well now.
Great review Cesar! Can I ask you where did you buy the guitar and how much did you pay for it? The prices for USA and Europe market seem to be a lot different.
+0606fran Thanks so much! Really appreciate the time you take to watch my videos and comment! I bought it in Spain during my holidays ( I live in China for the last three years for working reasons ) and it did cost me 500 Euros which is app. 570 USD... Please stay tuned, much more coming!
Hey Joe ! Yes, I did, and I do actually. Never had an issue putting the LM inside the overhead compartment. And I travel A LOT, believe me... Thanks so much for watching!

You can order that 5 mm hex wrench from eBay. it is under 12 dollars. it's long enough to reach the truss rod. I am a new member to your channel. Randy told me about your channel. I will look forward to your new videos, Thank you.
+Thomas Tommy Frist of all, thanks so much for your sub, watching and commenting. Really appreciated. The wrench I built works beautifully ! Is very difficult to order things from ebay, Amazon etc.. where I live - for working reasons I live in China since 2013.. I hope you find the channel interesting. I do covers, repairs, set ups...all stuff guitar related. Thanks again, welcome anytime!
+Cesar Blues Guitar Thank you for replying to my post. What do you think about this fake Martin and Gibson guitars. That is on the internet? Do you build guitars?
+Thomas Tommy A pleasure! I don't build, I am mostly a player who works in his guitars and also help other people with their guitars. I did graduate in Classical Guitar at the Royal School of music looong ago and worked as a session guitar player after my regular work for many years. Regarding the fakes I have a very strong opinion based on experience too. Please don't buy them. They are total crap. The " Martins" are made, for example, with wood that has not been properly dried and then the neck moves brutally.... on top of that, Is the only way of ending with that mafia - not buying Counterfeit.. I see the fakes all around here. Even fake strings. Is practically impossible to buy something original here where I live. If you want an inexpensive instrument, buy one but without the logo of the Company. Or buy an Epiphone/Takamine/etc... which are great instruments but not fakes. I talk about it in my video where I do the review of the Gibson 2015.... As a professional player my advice is - stay away from them. Of course is always my opinion. Thanks so much for the question!
+Cesar Blues Guitar Thank you for the advice. I can tell that you love and respect Martin Guitars. As I do also. I worked a save to buy my first Martin D35 when I was 16. Years later in the 80' s someone stoled it. I saved and bought another D35 in 2001. I just found out. Martin is Making guitars in Mexico. Why can't the lower there prices. But I respect your opinion. I will not buy a fake Martin. Thank you for your advice, Thomad
+Thomas Tommy Hi Thomas - I am sorry for your D-35..I own two, a D-45 and a D-35 (and now the Little Martin ). I agree with you - the prices are high but in the other hand the instruments are great...Better a Mexican Martin than a fake of course. Stay tuned please!
This is a real talent! wonderful cover! I like it very much. I'm curious to See the next cover! I made some covers on my channel, tell me If you like them:)❤️ anyway really Great stuff, you're talented!! Keep it up!! Big Thumbs up!!

Glad you got her fixed up! Surprised of the compressed paper thing....Apparently it works okay, just never would have guessed it wasn't solid wood.
