    One year ago I reviewed the Martin LX1 guitar. That Martin LX1 review was a long time ago, since then I have used the Martin LX1 a lot. I wanted to make another Martin LX1 review to tell viewers if the Martin LX1 guitar holds up one year later. I have actually had the Martin LX1 guitar for about four years, and the Martin LX1 still sounds amazing. I have never changed the Martin LX1's strings, the LX1 still stays in tune and is loud.
    Martin guitars have high quality and are mostly expensive, but the mini Martin LX1 guitar is not as expensive but still has incredible craftsmanship. Some may only see the Martin LX1 as a Martin travel guitar, but it is much more than just a Martin travel guitar. The neck of the Martin LX1 is not much smaller than those of a normal sized Martin guitar, you should not be afraid of getting the Martin LX1 because you think the LX1 is a kid's guitar.
    Watch this mini Martin LX1 review to see the details I say about the mini Martin LX1, there is some good information. Especially in the conclusion of this little Martin LX1 review, where I say my findings after doing the full mini Martin LX1 review. You do need to watch this whole little Martin LX1 review to find out why I say those thing sin the conclusions, but I have included chapters in this little Martin LX1 review to make it easy for you to skip, if need be.
    The Martin LX1 is much more than just an LX1 travel guitar, it would work well as an LX1 travel guitar, but I actually do not use it as the LX1 travel guitar. I like how mobile it is, the Martin LX1 guitar can be worn on a strap much easier than other Martin guitars. This Martin guitar review gets into my personal preference, as I just started to explain. I say in the Martin guitar review that since the Martin LX1 did not really change from the four years I have had it, you will probably have the LX1 for your whole life. The LX1 is worth it in terms of how it lasts over time.

    I’m planning on buying one of these guitars, but that’s besides the point. I wanted to tell you that I thought your original song was pretty GREAT. Whenever I see someone your age writing their own songs, I remember myself doing the same thing at that age. No idea what your plans are as far as music is concerned, but always keep in mind that if you have the talent (which apparently you do), perseverance, and knock on doors and more doors closing on your face until THE ONE opens up, good things can come to you professionally down the line. Write a crapload of songs and forget if they’re good or bad. Sooner or later, most will be good. But you do need to get the bad ones out, too. Your original song has a late 90s-singer/songwriter vibe to it, and since EVERYTHING hinges on nostalgia, you just never know. That’s been already about 25 years since those times. Mix that with your obvious love for Dylan, and you have an interesting mix. Anyways, enough writing. Best of luck!

      Thank you so much for your powerful words. I will keep writing songs. It's funny that I have an idea of what I want my songs to be but they end up different from what I expected, yet I like the unexpected result. I will never stop my passions.

    Traded it for a Taylor GS Mini.
    The LX1 is a nicely-proportioned travel guitar, very well made. Holds its tuning very well (that rock-solid laminated neck sure helps). Picking notes gives you quite a clear if a bit boxy response. But as soon as you start strumming, the lows overwhelm the highs, a problem that is significantly worse if you use your fingers. However you strum, it's both boomy and boxy at the same time.

    • @CalidoreRobinson
      @CalidoreRobinson  3 года назад +1

      I would say I have noticed that. The lower strings seem to have a bigger weight about them. How is your GS Mini?

      Taylor gs mini has a flimsy neck held in with a Phillips and a flat head screw that what discouraged me from the Taylor

    • @jwukulele
      @jwukulele Год назад

      @@mrmylo1239 exactly. Taylor markets it as easily adjustable. But who wants a neck that needs so much adjusting in the first place. As far as bolt-on necks go, Taylor is among the flimsiest… get a good. Guitar with a solidly built neck, take care of it & there’ll be little to no need to deal with adjusting (& the zillions of other problems that come with that).

      I have many guitars and the LX1 is my favorite. Perfect size, good sound, highly playable for my smallish hands. I wish there were a gorgeous hand-crafted solid-wood version, but until then, this is what I pick up day in and day out. Caution: The factory setup is garbage.

    LX1 is no beauty, but the overall package is perfect for us armchair pickers, much better than most "parlors." Handy size, narrow nut-width (1-11/16"), and a full 14 frets. Good intonation and acoustic sound. Plus it's bulletproof. I pick it up constantly while my high-end instruments stay in their cases.

    They are garbage. It’s 100% laminate, even the neck is laminated. There was no effort involved, no craftsmanship. There is no real wood on this guitar…. And it sounds it. Don’t waist your time or money. Get a Taylor GS mini. At least they have a full wood top. And they sound and play amazing. This is a $100 guitar they are selling for $400. The Taylor is a $500 guitar sold for $599. Definitely worth the money. Plus the case it comes with is amazing.
