    I'm a classically trained guitarist (Segovia and G.I.T.); I'm stunned by Konstantina's abilities. I know she doesn't express much joy in what she's doing but that likely owns to extreme concentration. I would switch her to a 1/2-size or even a 1/4 size with a pickup instead of using a microphone if necessary to accommodate her small hands which would enable her to excel even more so as it's far more comfortable for her to play. Bravo Konstantina!
    To the many dolts below with their idiotic arguments to the contrary; here's where I win this debate:
    1/4 and 1/2, size guitars were created by luthiers to accommodate children who wanted to learn to play guitar; 3/4/parlor, full-size and baritone were created for small/medium/large adults.
    Now, bugger off with you! Cheers!

    • @HisWordsAreTruth
      @HisWordsAreTruth 3 года назад +34

      I’m gonna have to play devils advocate and take the opposite position…..these aids would likely take away from training finger strength, dexterity, and future muscle memory. Easier for her now, yes. But better for her in the long run? I’m not so sure.

    • @ScotchmanGass
      @ScotchmanGass 3 года назад +46

      @@HisWordsAreTruth I disagree, I don't give a kid a pair of shoes which are the size for an adult knowing the kid is going to grow into them someday; that's stupid and cruel. Watching this child climb onto this huge guitar also looks wrong to me. Might also be a reason why she looks like she hates playing the gigantic thing. And if you want to argue further, I say; walk a mile in shoes far too big for you before responding.

    • @HisWordsAreTruth
      @HisWordsAreTruth 3 года назад +19

      @@ScotchmanGass I have, and so have countless others. If you want to say it's "stupid", I suppose that's an opinion....which could only come from the modern era really. But saying it's cruel is just complete melodrama. People have been learning this way for a very long time.

    I've been playing 40 years, playing mostly electric and steel string guitar, and I know those nylon strings are a little more forgiving, but watching those chubby, little baby fingers go up and down with such ease was SO impressive. She also kept a nice tempo with few miss-plays, but equally impressive was her ability to get up there and play all by herself with such poise and composure at seven. Really, how can you not love everything about this performance? Bravissimo!

      That shows you how bored and lonely some people are, to dislike this free entertaining showcase of an adorable girl and her talent is sad. It's called "projection" meaning, this video caused the thumb-downers to feel something negative within themselves, they could be in a state of depression and instead of healing what is troubling them, they project that hatred onto others, especially things that are pure, good and beautiful.

    My favorite composition from the Spaniard Francisco Tárrega. Given her age and physical challenge of a full size instrument, she did an amazing job. She maintained the cadence and fluidity on a score that challenges even well seasoned guitarists. Yes she may have hesitated on a note or two but overall, it was an impressive achievement. Yet people are missing the point ...beyond her prowess is the fact that at such early age she summoned the discipline and character traits that have enriched her soul and of those of us exposed to her art. God bless and protect such an angel.

    I think I know why there are so many thumbs down. These people think this young girl has been forced to acquire such discipline, thus going against her will, (which would add up to child abuse) but let me tell you 8,000 +, I have been trying to play the acoustic guitar for over 40 years and I am no where near or close to the level of this 7 year old. I am a Masters graduate and educator in Early Childhood Education, and frankly I know that it would be virtually impossible to teach such a young child to play like this unless there was an underlying passion in the beginning. I take solace from this and not envy or any other negative emotion.

    • @ate7714
      @ate7714 4 года назад

      How couldn’t you feel envy. Do know wht is the most important factor in having success? That is luck. Luck to be born with a strong body. Luck that gave you a smart brain. Luck that brings wealth. Luck that avoids death. Luck that defines your family and the people around you. Luck cant be unfair. It how things are. Having a negative emotion because of this, shows you that you truly like playing guitar. If it didn’t produced that emotions, then you never take it seriously.

      i never gave this a thumbs down this young lady is awesome/ but something about this vid just concerns me it looks more like a programmed robot playing than a person i just feel this is forced .the child does not look happy at all. I think her childhood is being stolen from her. no smile no facial expressions . how much time do you think she spends playing outside with her friends if she is allowed to have any. please before you reply watch the vid a few more times look at her face watch her eyes . i have never seen less life in the eyes of a CHILD

      @@888rustey I see your point...and I would have loved to see her smile, but she's only a child and it might have been her first time playing in front of hundreds of people. Not an easy task at that age, she did quite well.

      @@888rustey I see fire in her eyes. This is the music of her race, her people, herself. That is something that we, in America, have lost. But I can still recognize it, even if I can no longer achieve it.

      Listen to it without the pictures. I don’t hear the robot playing. I think she awed by the audience.
      I do hope she avoids the trap of doing musical gymnastics exclusively. Time will tell.

    Everyone seems to be in awe of her young age and little hands. Close your eyes and you will be in awe of her impeccable timing and her understanding of the movement of the musical composition. This is not just about little hands. Well done little lady!

      highway105 timing is all over the place. just saying...I was not very impressed although I applaud ger effort. She needs another year in the woodshed. and maybe a 7/8 size guitar.

    How talented! I could listen to her play for hours. I just got a guitar, but in seven years I doubt I'd be as good as this seven year old~
