This, to me, is basically the essence of what Commander should be. I can't really put it into better words than: This game has that special "Commander feel".
Also Ken is a freaking legend!!!
This was insanely good to watch xD But this series makes all of us realize how much Prof *doesn't* read the cards...
There is that one video where he played a Mox Ruby like a Black Lotus
yea like how he lost because he didn't read kazakar the 2nd time and so missed the 1 more damage to kill Ken.
@@atk9989 takes 1 only when he attacks opponents with goaded creature. Ken still wins 😚
54:47 With what was happening in the end game the 20 extra life prof would have had would have given him at least a couple more turns to find a way to deal a few damage so it could have changed the outcome if prof had an answer coming.
Tots agree but in the same regard Ken would have had the same number of cards to come up with counters. By his excitement of the draw I believe he found a different route to winning(probably card draw or life gain into card draw due to litch). They played the game and in the end it was as enjoyable as you want out of a game of commander.
I love how immediately the rule zero talk falls apart 😂😂😂
This has been the funniest, jankiest, entertaining and educational match of EDH I've seen so far. Loved it, everyone was having fun, the surprises never stopped coming and it was a blast to watch beginning to end. Please more of this! Great work everyone involved
This has to be one of the most exciting games of commander I have ever witnessed.
These guys are hilarious I'm definitely checking out their channel after this
lmao I'm so glad you let Ken live, seeing his deck go off was worth it
Excited for next week as well! This is such a fun series I hope that it does well enough to become a staple of your channel Prof
From an accessibility point of view I’d love to see the players’ names come up when their portrait is on screen, like when they take damage. I also watch with captions and the auto generated ones are so bad. Would sincerely appreciate proper captioning if it’s within the show’s budget. More text based information on screen, please 💕
I won’t lie this is one of my favorite duel. sure it starts slow, but that the pulling victory from the jaws of certain defeat with the most jankiest decks......was one of the omg moments I’ve ever seen.
PLEASE have them back on this channel. This was a delight!
I know those dorks in real life! I get to play with some of them weekly! Awesome guys. Really glad to see them here!
there is no denying that Ken brought the Jank and was hilarious doing so
I LOVE that you are emphasizing the gathering in magic the gathering! I love this series, I laugh each and every time.
With this episode, Ken has now become my favorite person ever.
Dear Professor, please more of this commander format. It was HILARIOUS, i watched the full thing and the end was the best. 😂😂😂
Just the opening had me in tears, thank you for reminding the internet that the spirit of commander can be ridiculous, jank fun
"Why does your deck have stipulations?"
Lmao! That was great, Ken!
Professor wasting precious +1/+1 counters from his agitator ants. Reading the card explains the card, prof!
He also thought that a goaded creature cant attack him in a 1v1 and had to read it out load a few times to understand that it can
I seriously think that’s the best match I’ve ever seen, like honestly he dodged soooo many bullets in the most creative way I’ve ever seen
Man was actually Neo for a solid 30 minutes, there.
You don’t even need to know anything about MTG to watch this. So damn entertaining. Ken is absolutely hilarious. Need MANY more vids with this group. More jank videos, please!!!
that is undisputedly the most entertaining game of commander ever played.
this series is incredible and i can't wait for the next one to drop.
1:30:00 Prof missed the Karazikar trigger which would have tapped Sad Robot thus forcing Ken to sac / discard 5 more things from Lich's mastery likely sealing the game.
Yes!! I was screaming at the screen for them to notice.
This bothered me too, I'm pretty sure Prof should have actually won. How much health did he have left? It was less than 5 right?
At the same time, Prof missed that Ravenous Demon can only transform at sorcery speed. He did it at instant speed instead, adding 5 extra damage he shouldn't have had.
my favorite reoccurring joke in shuffle up & play is that no one knows how the "comes into play tapped unless you control two or more basic lands" lands work
(love the series
The length of this nearly put me off, but I'm so glad I watched. This was both hilarious and shocking. Great stuff, loved it
Starting 1:12:34 I couldn’t stop laughing. “Of course it kills you…are you crazy?!” 🤣 😂
The flip card in transparent sleeve had me in shreds
2 minutes in and everything already goin to hell. I love it.
One of the best mtg gameplay series ever! Pls make more of this! Way more!!! I love it!
11:33 That set symbol on Trickery Charm is Onslaught, when we're first introduced to the Morph mechanic. :D
1:39:52 Ced’s post-mortum is spot-on hilariousness
Loved this!! This was probably my favorite game of commander I've ever watched on this site. Not even so much the decks themselves(which were great!) but the chemistry between everyone. It was funny and I was smiling the whole time. I really hope you do more of this!!
Misplays are what makes commander games fun, it was a great video and I'm looking forward to the next ones!
24:20 Not that it really matters, but the draw card and lose life trigger would've happened before the Conundrum Sphinx trigger, as Prof controls it.
oh also Agitator Ant says player prof could've been buffing his creatures.
at the end, when prof attacked all in, he should have tapped the simulacrum, so it was 27 permanents removed.
lets not go over gameplay errors, Prof also taps lands for the wrong color of mana. A judge on set is a lot to ask
It might matter though, as the second card from the top is unknown by anyone, so the active player may not get an additional card into his hand.
@@Igotjello I'm not judging them, but I think it's important to point out mistakes for educational purposes
That was great! Watched all 100+ minutes of this jank game. Very entertaining!
what a fantastic game! I can't remember the last time I laughed out loud so much watching RUclips content.
Not sure if this was mentioned yet Professor, but when a creature is goaded in a 1v1, it CAN attack the player that goaded it because that is the only option.
In fact it must, because a goaded creature must attack next turn if able.
I've really been impressed with the quality of content prof has been putting out recently. The production quality of this episode is incredible and I hope to see more of this style of video. Much love prof keep up the great work.
Prof actually killed himself by playing Rakdos Charm. It affects all players when you choose the "deal 1 damage for each creature" mode, he had 6 life left after destroying the enchantment with FTS with at least 6 creatures in play upon cast. Fun episode!
Technically he didn't, as the spell never resolved. But yeah, it'd be a draw if it did
@@brendaneichler5244 Yeah, resolution would be implied. Was just pointing out what would have been a goof when he played it.
The professor's jacket is glorious. Whether or not his deck is the best, his fashion certainly was.
prof actually won the game if he hadn't forgot the kazakar trigger when Ken was at 2 and was goaded.
@@atk9989 nope. Ken still won. Only when goaded creature attacks an OPPONENT...read the card explains the card? Hahaha just joking, the beholder is wordy.
Easily one of the best games of Magic I have ever watched. Normally I hate watching others play mtg, But this was hilarious from start to finish. I was also impressed by the responses and the build of the decks.
I loved the "get your oponnents pity and then just refuse to die until they drop dead"-strategy. so funny
