My water pump is leaking now. The pump is working perfect.. the seal is covered in coolant. I'm going to just buy the mopar gasket for $25 rather than paying the $160 for the pump and gasket
On my 2017 dodge durango sxt i had a code P0305 cylinder 5 misfire pop up. When taking of the upper intake manifold i notice the hole on my lower intake manifold next to cylinder 5 was filled with water/coolant. Is that normal?
According to the research we did it takes either dexcool or a universal type coolant we saved all we could and added some universal that was recommended by O reillys it was an orange color

What did you use to clean the surface before install of new pump? Thanks in advance and nice video!!
I have a 2” sanding disc on an air die grinder that I use to clean up the surface
How do you clean it so clean with out scratching it ? What did you use
I use an air die grinder or what I call a zizwheel with a 2” screw on pad that’s like a scouring pad.👍
What antifreeze did you end up using? my wife has the same durango and I'll be tackling this pump here in the next weekend or two also

How many gallons of coolant to refill?
We didn’t loose much I think it was about 1 1/2 jugs of pre- mix
What part number was the water pump?
Not sure picked it up from the dodge dealership
Do you have the torque specs
According to what we found on the old inter web they should be 20 foot lbs👍
