cant wait, renting one in Portugal in September. Picking it up in Lisbon with my two sisters riding Himalayan 450s for 3 weeks riding in Spain and Portugal!! I ride the KTM 890 Adventure R at home and Im hoping this bike will be close enough to mine that I feel comfortable.
Hey Bob.. cross country on dirt is a fun adventure. I've traveled both Sam's route and GPSKeven's tat's and completed an 8,000 mile off road adventure (2023). I my opinion at 5'8" and 160lbs I used a 2020 DRZ400 now at 40,000 of trail use. A T-7 is an excellent bike, very dependable at 452 lbs compared to the Tiger 900 at 483 lbs I would take the T-7. Every pound saved will play out on the trail. I own a 2018 Tiger 800 at also 40,000 miles and not one issue with it, very dependable, but I only ride it on roads cross country. I ride a lot of technical so the 400 works for me. I sub'ed and am looking forward to your adventure...
When I seen the thumbnail I thought “is that beaver creek?” Then I started watching the video and was like “I know where this is” but couldn’t put my finger on it then I seen that red steel bridge and realized it was new Waterford.
I'm 5'7" and 165lbs with a 2022 T7. I did the IDBDR and WABDR two years ago.. Dropped and picked it up a dozen times. Yes, it's heavy, but was doable.
