Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

I can confirm that Bunker defend missions have both friendly npcs on surface at start of contract, if the higher contracts with waves the hostile npcs spawn both above and below after the 60 sec timer. I have not tried the eviction bunkers yet.
So much going on, yet so little happening.

@@reitairue2073 you are accurate, just one major issue I had was just trying to buy and sell gold. It’s so frustrating that I don’t even want to go into the details. It’s becoming a chore to try to play this game. It really feels like work at this point.

I'd have so much fun this patch if they didn't nerf Salvage Panels so far that you literally need hours to fully fill a Vulture. :(
Blockade runner is a lot of fun. It can get pretty tense when you’re loading up a ship by yourself and a Corsair drops in to say hi!

I've been lucky so far. But I use a Nomad, fast to load and unload.
7:10 and those above ground NPCs will shoot open your hatch and blow up your ship while you're in the bunker!
Expect only 50% of all this to actually be released as there track record shows

already had my Kopion experience. they were hanging around in the middle of Astors Clearing and doing a lot of damage until the guards decided to fight them
The new Hotfix update killed my SC experience as I'm locked out of my personal hangar and waiting for a fix. Hope they fix it soon as I would like to participate in the events before they end.
I tried to get on this morning and got the infinite loading screen. When I dropped off and restarted, it wouldn’t let me change servers. It’s hard to play when you can’t get on!
The patch has been a huge improvement . It took some time but this .1 patch is running very well.
I love how NEGATIVE the community has gone. I bet half of the negative comments don't ACTUALLY play, they just get on to complain and vent frustrations to anyone that will listen.
Oh for sure, you see people on Spectrum who admit they don't play and complain when a new feature isn't working 100%.
ah yes the people who play the game and complain that they're experiencing bugs don't actuall play the game but the "news" content creators who just slap the same stolen dev-made footage in the background of every video while they talk definetely do play and they guarantee you that there's so much gameplay that they don't even show it

They need a dedicated area for the altas annoying you have to store your ship, then get the mech out then get your ship out again

Smaller vehicles being called by Freight Elevator (as originally intended) will be added in subsequent patches
Bee said they need a side room for all land based vehicles, and possibly keep the garage hangers on dedicated home worlds so if your bringing your ursa you’ll wanna keep that land vehicle close cus you don’t want to have to make a pit stop at a planet just to grab it again

I did the entire Blockade Runner event on my own, with an empty server, with a Cosrsair and an A2. I never want to do it again lol.

For me everything worked. Have my hangar full with vehicles. Elevators worked perfectly. Cargo elevators worked perfectly for my contracts. I literally played for 5 hours without any problems but just a tiny hickup every now and then.

In retrospect when CIG had a much smaller team and a quarter of the current funding they achieved 100x more (Area 18, Microtech, Orison, mining, salvaging) than they have in the past 3 years. There is so little going on in Star Citizen other than cash grabs and a swath of bugs.
To be fair I think 900 CIG employees are just marketing. Seriously though I've seen 1 indie dev make more gameplay in a month than CIG does in 3
Actually they needed more flux capacitors but the leprechauns made vast improvements on the cooling system

Thanks for the update, Mac! I'm finding myself avoiding SC lately because of the frustration with CIG's handling of things, especially the blatant ATLS cash grab. But I do appreciate the info you bring to the backers.

i played the blockade runner last night for like 5 hours, i made 50k? give or take. doesnt pay enough to keep me interested sadly, it also made players not participate as much as you would like
I would strongly suggest Taurus or C2 for the cargo hauling for the Blockade.

My only problem was zeta smacking into my ship while trying to load it with an atlas. Everything went very interstellar as my ship zeta and atlas spun out over the place. Recovery was.. interesting...

The majority of the cargo boxes in Blockade Runner are 32scu boxes, so i recommend using a Herc or a Taurus at the very least.
And don't try and use the Atlz for 32scu boxes, as it will blow up your ship.

Wish i could enjoy it all but it takes half an hour to get out the hanger if you're lucky enough to not have some glitch or excessive server lag prevent you doing so. Roll on the next useless utility vehicle for people to buy though I guess..
Game feels realy smooth to me lately.
Thinkin of riskin it for the biscuit and taking a reclaimer in to munch the ships for money makin. You dont get much from construction mats but you get a bit plus it helps the server
I really enjoy these kind of events and it is very viable for a solo player too.

Balancing ships is what it is. Making them ready for engineering. Cause engineering gonna nerf alot of ships to. Especially in combat.

No idea how you keep motivated to keep churning out this waffle for all these years. Fair play to you. It’s fun to check in once or twice a year to see if this will ever go out of alpha. The comments are usually more informative than the video narration in that regard though.
And when it gets out of alpha people be like:

Reporting issue on the IC ends up in two ways. The issue is not confirmed, or issue is spammed with "Not a bug, you should not be doing that" comments from fanboys. Its a massive waste of time.

hows the game running right now .... i have a 7800x3d and a 4070ti ... game was runing low in city... how about now ?
I mean any city will lag you and drop fps no matter what pc you have, I have a similar build and am running the game at 100 fps around outside of the giant city areas :)
U should have stable 50-60 fps with 4070ti @1440p dlss 66%

It's about 40-60 for me with a 7800x3d and a 4080 in the cities, 80's to over a 100 other places.

I've pledged about 1500 give or take over the years and I have honestly not played this game for months now. Its not fun when you waste time with bugs or broken missions. Not to mention the greed with selling you stuff at EVERY TURN. Also, master modes is what got me to stop playing. The ships feel so slow. Why? Why are we slow in space, why is there a limit its so stupid. I kinda want all my money back.

@@Drysso He doesn't, only CIG knows. Although past numbers run from about 30k to 50k a day during normal times and up to and over 150k a day during events from numbers that CIG has posted in the past.

Nothing but gamebreaking bugs happening. Currently can't leave Orison because I cant call a ship on ASOP or even get to my hangar. So this title is entirely misleading and I pray new people learning about this game do their research instead of buying in because God knows how much of this is a fucking scam
Usually an easy fix to that is too get someone to fly you to another station and try to use the ASOP at the new location normally fixes that.

I refuse to play this game until the campaign is released. Been following it for 3-4 years now with next to near no progress besides assets. There’s so many other games to play, especially if you have joysticks. Everspace 2. Elite Dangerous Odyssey. X4 Foundations. And games like Descent, like Overload, Geocore, Desecrators and Zero Grave.
