Of course I LOVED this,,,lol I remember the Wow on the silver dollar jackpot place and those guys waiting for a drink....we always ended up gassing up at St. Regis and getting modern nice things at that first off the freeway shop..they uses ri have big hand made pottery mus in beautiful glazes that you put your whole hand into....Oh George...thanks, what a store..good to know more.
Fills like it was yesterday. I spent 35 years restoring that type of furniture and many others. enjoyed everyday of it. But my body and mind is just like the sign you showed. House is still full of a lot of my favorites. And they seem to be holding up a lot better than I.
George, this video was way too short. I could spend an entire day in that shop. Looking at antique furniture is my JAM! As well as you, I fell completely in love with the wolf lamp. I am often a lone she-wolf howling at the moon. I will probably watch this video 5 times. Thank you so much George. You truly are simply the best!
Just wanted to thank you for your video. My daughter and I went to Place of Antique after seeing your video. She purchased a roll top desk and I showed the owner’s daughter your video. They were so surprised and enjoyed seeing it. I would highly recommend this shop.
I really am enjoying your videos! I wish you would slow down a little with showing the things. I know you want to cover a lot of ground but I'm sort of missing alot of it. I guess I'm saying I would just rather see some more of the detail of the items, but generally I'm really enjoying this. Thank you!
My daughters father-in-law loves, antiques and loves to thrift and sell on eBay. He did not know about the Antique Nomad on RUclips! He watches RUclips, so I introduced him to your channel. I had him watched this episode, and he loved it!
George, i love how you can be all business and educate us, but still make me laugh out loud by jumping in a cutout and being silly!!! Great video, such beautiful pieces!!
Learned something else too, Peace dollars and Eisenhower dollars coins. You never really hear about them but the Peace dollar was minted in 1921-1935 and was silver, the Eisenhower dollar was minted in 1971-1978, 2021 for collectors. The only silver Eisenhower dollar was in 1972. How interesting. Have a great day
Thank you George. I always look forward to your next video. I learn something new with each episode. By the way, your genuine kindness is very much needed in today’s world.
Another fun video! Thank you. I miss Montana. Lots of good places to hike and fish. I used to get good buys at auctions out that way, Montana & Wyoming. Happy Trails! 😊
My father had a refrigerator like the one you showed, it had the legs and all except I don't remember having the motor on top like that. It had the cord and he used it for extra things like drinks. After he passed and Mom was going into assisted living, I'm thinking late 80's or 90's we decided to just get a dumpster and throw so much away. We had a FREE sale, not advertised, just the neighbors and whoever heard word of mouth. The refrigerator was put out front outside the fenced in yard with a free sign on it. Took a few days and someone took off with it the middle of the night. I would have loved to have it, but no room for in it my small house, and brothers the same problem. We all laughed thinking how heavy it was and them picking it up.
“Chamber pots… it’s not like you’re going to cook beans in them.” 😂 On that Yukon Pacific plate-the building is Denny Hall. I had Latin classes in there!
I so so want to get our shop open in NH, we have land and a building on Rt. 9 in NH. Maybe time to stop the flea markets for a bit and sell off some of our collections and focus on opening up. Being a woodworker would love to be setup like this shop and fix furniture all day. 💰 always the issue. ✌🏼💚
Wow, I could spend the day in this place! The intricate carving on the furniture, the etched glass, the kitchen utensils..... Thank you for sharing these beautiful things with us. Merci beau coup
I somehow missed this video for a few days, but I REALLY enjoyed this store. I love the region, although I’m less familiar with Montana than I am with Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and Oregon. At 15:05 - stunning design on the turquoise colored candle holders and console bowl. Love the graceful shape there. And the color. Lots of impressive oak furniture. If I ever would have a goldmine fall on me from a rainbow, it would be so fun to buy an old Victorian mansion to restore and furnish with these types of things. Id call you and Laura Caldwell to help me. Probably Selina vintage Bombshell, too
I have that McCoy bowl. I purchased it at Kmart, when I worked there, in 1979. I don't remember what I paid but it was on sale during their dollar days sale. That was 44 years ago. Wow!
Good evening, George! There was a kerosene pump in front of that shop that I liked. Those barrister bookcases always make me wish... I like the oak ones that have darkened with age best. That oak sideboard, with the lion's head, was fantastic! I have a hen and rooster set like the one on the shelf with the Tiffin black glass vase. They were my grandmother's. Those Wavecrest pieces were really pretty. I really like Wavecrest. Loved all those old keys. I was a little surprised at the price on the "Grape and Cable" berry set. That pattern doesn't bring that anymore, from my experience. There is just so much of it available. I've had several of those German pipes. They all had different decorations on them. I don't even have one now. I'd love to have that salesman's sample sideboard! That thing was fantastic! That was a beautiful mantle that sold. All those silver dollars made a crazy cool display! Fun trip! Thanks for taking us along!
I like the dark oak barristers the best too, and that lion's head sideboard would be mine if I had a Victorian home to set it in place! I am a big Wavecrest fan and thought those prices were accessible, I do agree with you that they were lofty on the Grape and Cable set though. I sold all my German pipes and will have to look for more! The salesman's sample...what a neat piece that was. I'm glad you had fun with me!
I can't imagine driving Montana roads in the dead of winter, knuckles turning white and tears forming as the snow continues to pile up in near-white-out conditions. Other than that, what a staggeringly beautiful state!!!
A dear friend gave me the black amethyst Tiffin poppy vase. It's SO BEAUTIFUL when light passes through it. I get a little thrill when I see it in the wild on a thrifting video. Won't be able to retire on it (😅) but I do love it so much.
Love the black satin Tiffin Glass. I had to look the stuff and see what all was out there. They also make milk glass in different colors too which I did not know. You are a true fount of information. Thanks for letting me tag along and safe and happy travels for you.
Hi! I would love to travel and shop along with you - so many interesting locations😊 I enjoy learning about the items, and you are such a good teacher! Happy travels!
I used to drive up to Montana every summer for about a decade and would sometimes stop in St Regis but I never went to the antique store! I was always in too much of a hurry (so typical of me 😊) They really do have some lovey furniture. Great video George. And that is a beautiful drive ❤
Hi, we just found your channel and love your knowledge you share! Excellent. The only suggestion is maybe share the retail price of items you talk about? Really appreciated! Thank you.

I absolutely loved seeing the furniture. I wish I could afford a house full of it.
Me too, I'd never buy new if it's over 20 bucks
You are such a wealth of information. Thank you.
The oak furniture was stellar!
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!

Never seen an oak slot machine.😮❤

Thank you for stopping by our little thrift store/minigolf in St Regis and adding it to your video! I wish I would have been there to meet you.

Its interesting to see things from all over the US "travel " far from where it originated !

Great business model - mom shops while the kids play mini-golf.
That's the idea! :-)
I wish I could wander through a shop “with” you every day! The wood pieces with curved glass are so beautiful! Thank you!❤
Fun to see such full shelves and then u to tell us about the items! Even if it wasn't the things you look for .
Just wanted to thank you for your video. My daughter and I went to Place of Antique after seeing your video. She purchased a roll top desk and I showed the owner’s daughter your video. They were so surprised and enjoyed seeing it. I would highly recommend this shop.

If I could hit the thumbs up button 1,000 times on this one, George, I would! Incredible place.
George, i love how you can be all business and educate us, but still make me laugh out loud by jumping in a cutout and being silly!!! Great video, such beautiful pieces!!
A feast for the senses, thank you. How could a person deside
That was kinda cute for a while 😅. Thanks for taking us along.

I learn so much from all your videos but this was my favorite great filming and loved the cave at the end!
I am fortunate to live near by and shop here a couple of times a year, they know their stuff and are very nice.

This was in the north end of Seattle!
“Chamber pots… it’s not like you’re going to cook beans in them.” 😂
On that Yukon Pacific plate-the building is Denny Hall. I had Latin classes in there!
I took architecture appreciation as a minor, so the Architecture Building was the one 1909 or prior building I visited a lot
@@TheAntiqueNomad I had to look it up... now I remember it! I definitely had a couple classes in there.
Great furniture. I want a huckleberry shake. Never had one
Love all that old furniture! Wow!
No beans in the chamber pots?! 😂 My Gramma called them “thunder mugs.”
As a fan of old, brown glorious furniture this was a special treat. The salesman sample sideboard was adorable, can imagine that with giant dolls.
Styles come and go…and come and go again! But hard work lasts forever!❤

My jaw dropped at the Bjorn Wiinblad!! Love your videos! ❤
Have you ever gone down the rabbit hole that is the world’s fairs? The Chicago Columbian exposition is particularly intriguing
I used to drive up to Montana every summer for about a decade and would sometimes stop in St Regis but I never went to the antique store! I was always in too much of a hurry (so typical of me 😊) They really do have some lovey furniture. Great video George. And that is a beautiful drive ❤
