Good evening, George. I like that platform rocker. The school slate is something I'd buy, too. I have a glass chick watering base that was my grandparents'. I really like the R S Germany set. Blue bow geese...😝 That 1890 dresser was super-nice. I would've been willing to take a chance replacing the glass in the butterfly tray. I liked that. There was a decanter next to the Kimberly mug that caught my eye. I guess the Dr Pepper bottle would've had to come with me...I wouldn't be able to resist. Nice to see thrift stores with good items! Thanks for taking us along!
I had to have the slate, and the porcelain pieces were too pretty to leave at such low prices! I’m slightly embarrassed to say I bought a set of blue geese nesting bowls, my first time but they are selling. The antique dressers in that crazy hoarded junk store were a real surprise! I know Dr. Pepper is a must show in my videos lol. Glad you saw thing that entertained, I was glad to see thrift stores with real antiques!
Thank you for Sharing. What great finds. I liked the I would call it a vanity table with the drawer at the first store. Reminds me of my mother had one like that. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
I always love seeing old kitchenware. I love to cook, so I imagine the food I could bake or cook with it. I also love those standalone cabinets...god, if I only had the space in my kitchen to buy mire 😂
Hi George and Xeno! This was a really fun video because I couldn't imagine there being 3 whole shops in this same area that you haven't been to! How did that happen?? 😂 I really like the furniture you showed us. In particular the blue mirror inserts. It was interesting to see them used like that in combination. You two always find the greatest items! Have a fun week and safe travels young man! 🦋
Even without the shaker lid, those larger decorated tumblers are sought after by collectors because we want to use them for a large glass of iced tea! $2.00 is a steal. That shape looks like Bartlett-Collins to me.
Hi George, I have my Grandmother's pin cushion doll that she kept her hat pins in. It is exactly like the one you found in your new neighborhood antique store. Thanks for sharing.
I have my grandparent's waterfall set they bought in Eureka, California in 1949. The blond chest has the same handles and bakelite form as mine. I've been trying to find replacements as my kids broke a couple of the bakelite parts.
I worked in a department store in the early 70's as a teenager. I remember glass shelves stuffed with the Carnival Glass. Rainbow of colours. It was my Dept. and I had to dust all of it plus the shelves. Yikes!
I’ve learned over the years that even if you don’t know a lot about antiques you can still have a lot of fun just looking at the things you find. Then you’ll learn just from having seen it!
Hello George. I truly enjoy you taking us along shopping. I love it. ❤ I currently have black saucer plates with the deer wood pattern. I would love to know if there is any value for resale. Thank you!
Happy New Year George! Glad you have new places to visit and rummage around! Maybe its just me, but I've been seeing more folks who buy out estates or auctions setting up storefronts for their hauls. Thank you for another informative video!
I was a pricer at a large St. Vincent de Paul for ten years in Xmas, Pottery and Dishes. I tried to price things for half of resale and the resale buyers liked me. Unfortunately, many of the elderly volunteers priced things they grew up with at the price they had paid for the item back then, and others priced things at way above retail even though you could still buy it new for less. It was always a "crap shoot" how things were marked, and there were lots of complains from the people who shopped there.
I’m very glad you said that because there’s this perception that the thrift stores know everything and their pricing at high because they see us selling it, so they don’t want us to make any money. And I just don’t think that’s true. I think it really depends who prices it, and what the policy of the store is regarding whether they sell online or not.
@@TheAntiqueNomad This Vinnies also sold online but it had such a backlog that I often put unique items in the display case where I monitored whether or not they sold.
Wait 0:47 it’s raining there or has been raining & they’re putting that furniture out there? 6:37 love the old style ice cream chairs 14:44 I remember getting Pepsi’ out of those machines. Soda always tasted better out of the bottles! 23:17 bedroom suit 😊 23:53 my great grandmother had one of those marble top dressers
I liked bottled soda too! They had no room for furniture inside so they look at weather each morning and decide what to do. I’m glad you recognized some family familiar pieces!
14:15 I think that's the same range they used on Bewitched. 34:53 Ironic being that teak is not from Denmark, but from Thailand and other South Asian countries.
I grew up using Royal China's Homestead pattern bowls ... parents still have some but they're badly chipped from lots of love. I might make myself a set for my house sometime.
@@FossilForwardFinds right at the end. She did buy the obsidian pieces but that's out of her wheelhouse. I'm into fossils, gems and pre Columbian artifacts
OW, the "50's dishware" teapot was actually a soap premium that came in the box of soap, hence the flattened shape. (and why did you say 1996 for the Hausenware? it clearly said 2000)
Interesting about the T pod. That’s good information. The canisters had a date of 1996 on one of the other pieces. So you’re right. I should’ve show them that one.
Hello from Cle Elum. It's 5:51 and dark already but its getting better. We have Inland Cable Internet. Im saying because the signal is glitchy and shaky. I'm gonna take a Dramamine to get through.
“Sad “ stood for solid and dense. I think what you saw. Were people bringing Estates into that place. They just buy house holds out and take whatever is in them.
Hazzah I got drunk f'd up so I missed the premiere. I wanted to ask about the "genuine" chalk board. Isn't that a dead giveaway that it's not genuine because it's like when the box says "Vintage Santa Claus doll" ...then it's not vintage
All that Art Deco furniture was gorgeous, and a terrific value even when compared to Ikea prices. You know everything about everything, George!
@@SadieSmith-h2g oh, a little bit about a bunch of stuff maybe
I adore the bedroom set with the blue glass in the mirror. You had the right idea on how to replace the missing handles!
It’s always a good challenge to make a piece of furniture complete again.
@@TheAntiqueNomadI hope whoever buys it doesn’t change the finish!
Hey guys nice to see you Zeno
"this Is how people in kentucky dress...Not really" LOL great!

The little split top dresser was lovely!
That oven thing at the 2nd place is the one Bewitched had for a season or two! Way cool!
@@maryd9331 yes that’s right!
Those drawers on the top of the dresser are for handkerchiefs - handkerchief drawers!
