Saying the suit actors are the real heros is something you almost never hear! They definitely deserve more credit!

The spoon mistake was a very iconic and awsome move to show us Ultraman human side of thing. The other producer that involve with Jissoji really doesnt have any sense of humour, its okay for the show regardless of how funny it is to have some humour here and there to balance out the seriousness of the show. The Spoon episode high rating proves them wrong by the way. Seriously, I could never or ever get that scene out of my head everytime I hold a spoon and pretend that it was the Beta Capsule. Jissoji really was a really too unique guy that Tsurubaya really deserve to have working alongside the Ultraman Show.

    このドキュメンタリードラマの特撮シーン、確か若き日の樋口真嗣監督が担当してるんだよね…。凄いな

What else can be said about the original Ultra Man. What a fantastic show for us kids back then. Watching through the 70's. Great for the time era, great shows designed for kids, those times are gone. Shows today are terrible, always criticize not made sticky for kids. We were lucky and fortunate to have shows like Ultra Man. Great shows will always be remembered, but never duplicated. Looking back, I personally thank the makers of Ultra Man. Thank You for a great childhood show. Thank You

It does not matter what is shot and for what purpose: big effects sequence (no matter the quality and style of it) looks real silly when behind-the-scenes is shown. These physical sequences look even sillier than modern CGI-sequences which look silly indeed.

Hard to believe the spoon thing caused such a big fuss on set. Going back and watching the episode it got a sensible chuckle from me. Amazing stuff!

To any and all Ultraman fans: give a thought to the suit actors inside the monster costumes, who helped make the series possible. It's no easy task playing a monster,as old pros will attest. You have to rehearse several times to get into the character, plus endure the FX explosions going on around the set. Thank you, Mr. Warner, for uploading this reenactment documentary!
