To any and all Ultraman fans: give a thought to the suit actors inside the monster costumes, who helped make the series possible. It's no easy task playing a monster,as old pros will attest. You have to rehearse several times to get into the character, plus endure the FX explosions going on around the set. Thank you, Mr. Warner, for uploading this reenactment documentary! 💫🐉👽🤖
The spoon mistake was a very iconic and awsome move to show us Ultraman human side of thing. The other producer that involve with Jissoji really doesnt have any sense of humour, its okay for the show regardless of how funny it is to have some humour here and there to balance out the seriousness of the show. The Spoon episode high rating proves them wrong by the way. Seriously, I could never or ever get that scene out of my head everytime I hold a spoon and pretend that it was the Beta Capsule. Jissoji really was a really too unique guy that Tsurubaya really deserve to have working alongside the Ultraman Show.
Yes thats right when i saw the spoon mistake got taken out i am thingking to myself imagine if ultraman fans see this BUT WAIT they have seen this in this video
What else can be said about the original Ultra Man. What a fantastic show for us kids back then. Watching through the 70's. Great for the time era, great shows designed for kids, those times are gone. Shows today are terrible, always criticize not made sticky for kids. We were lucky and fortunate to have shows like Ultra Man. Great shows will always be remembered, but never duplicated. Looking back, I personally thank the makers of Ultra Man. Thank You for a great childhood show. Thank You
Thank you so much for having this up, was always curious how they went about making this show that I loved watching when I was young. Also thank you for having English subtitles!
I'm a little late but I've been obsessed with the toho making of techniques since seeing a drawing of a full sized set in "famous monsters of filmland" all japan issue and yes also have tsuburaya's book "master of monsters" thanks so much for posting!
Thanks for a great video! I read what you wrote in August Ragone's book on Eiji Tsuburaya and it must have been a great experience! I also saw you in the first episode of Ultraman Tiga!
The original Ultraman will always be my favorite. The show was in some respects more PG than G rated. The thing is that back then...there was also more drama prior to the monster coming in...more build up....and the suspense of what happens prior to Ultraman coming into the picture by the last part of the show. When Hayata turns into Ultraman....it was time...the situation was hopeless...and Ultraman came in to save the day. Today...kids are not patient. They want immediate action....and hardly any build up, drama...or hardly a story line. Anyway.....Good video.
It does not matter what is shot and for what purpose: big effects sequence (no matter the quality and style of it) looks real silly when behind-the-scenes is shown. These physical sequences look even sillier than modern CGI-sequences which look silly indeed.
According to the article about this TV program in Wikipedia Japanese edition, the actress was Jissohji Ako. She is a daughter of Jissohji Akio who directed several Ultraman episodes;e.g.. Skydon.
You know what if They should make Ultraman have its own American version Tv Series in America like Ultraseven will have its an American Version like they will called it Ultraseven and Godzilla the best live action tv show of the 2000’s on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim That will Starring with Chris Colfer as Danny/Ultraseven Tracy Lynn Fujimoto as Melissa/Ultra-angle Corbin bleu as Jackson/Ultra Taro Jeremy James Kissner as Mike/Ultra 80 and Emma Stone as Lisa/Ultragirl and co stars Kane Hodder as Godzilla King of the Monsters Peter Dinklage as Godzooky Aka Son Of Godzilla Jaleel White as BN-98 the talking Robot Richard Gere as Zeltar The Golden Giant Alien and even the bad guys like Billy Zane as The Evil Zardoz Frank Welker as Rodak Josh Brolin as Red Mysterian Eliza Dushku as Kilaak Queen & Tommy lister as Beastman now it will be Producer by Haim Saban Charles Band & Roger Corman Writer by Norman J Grossfeld Creature effects by Steve Wang it will be from 4Kids entertainment Hanna Barbera production Full Moon Features Willam Street and Association with Cartoon Network/Adult Swim but the live action show will be a knock off of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!

Saying the suit actors are the real heros is something you almost never hear! They definitely deserve more credit!
😮😊
Hard to believe the spoon thing caused such a big fuss on set. Going back and watching the episode it got a sensible chuckle from me. Amazing stuff!
9:09 That voice actor yelled so hard that he even couldn't stop coughing, OMG they did put a lot into this show.

このドキュメンタリードラマの特撮シーン、確か若き日の樋口真嗣監督が担当してるんだよね…。凄いな
I have always wanted to know about how Ultraman are even made behind the scene. But what I didnt know is the time consuming process that it had.

Did you do voice work for the 2002 ultraman tiga dub?
This recording was recorded in 1966 but the vibe is 90s/2000s

Now all we need is Pee-Wee Herman and his bike crashing a fight scene ;)
I wish you would give a little insight on the recently found lost 4kids ultraman tiga English dub adaptation finale episode that was found recently.

6:29-funny ultraman
I like Ultraman . In particular ultraman nexus .
Anyone know in what episode the B-29 and those A6M Zeroes were on?
I’m thinking it’s either Mephilas’s episode or Bullton’s episode. Since I can distinctly remember those having military vehicles in them.
スッゴいな実相寺アングルが見れて嬉しいです。あと「帰ってきたウルトラマン」庵のバージョンもみたいな。

Funny how they keep so much attention to scale when we're talking about ULTRAMAN lol
9:18 did he just say American comic book
Yes. I believe he’s referring to how American comic books have those effect bubbles with “BIFF!” or “POW!”
Hi Brad! Patsy here! How are things going with you? Will you ever rejoin Tsuburaya?
11:29 who is she?
She's playing the actress who played Fuji in 1966 in the 1989 reenactment scenes.
Ok, but who is she? Actress played fuji.
@@kongbunyawat2545 She's playing actress Hiroko Sakurai (who played Fuji in 1966). But I have no idea what her name is...
