Ultraman deserves to be preserved as an art museum. If somehow they stopped producing series, these filming props will be hella valuable. It will be amazing to have the stage miniature, put up on museum, then having Ultraman & Kaiju hologram fighting above it. Damnnn
Gaia is by far the best series that mix both family friendly and mature aspect while Nexus is pure dark and mature. I hope they will make a series like gaia again. Its really good, I say this is the peak of Ultraman series in all aspect. Great military, a lot of military division, each character/division has their own story arc, all character interact with each other and no one is left put even in the last arc, and the military is international and revolve around the world which previous series doesn't really do that and basically happen in japan only, enemy are showing up all around the world like german, there exist strong organization other than XiG like alchemy stars, focus heavily on savings nature theme which other series just ultraman come to save the world, great rivalry, clash of different ideology and life principles, great plot and doesn't feels too rush like other series and advance the plot at great pace unlike dyna and tiga, great ost and BGM and the iconic sound effect and many more. I try not to bias but there is a lot of things Gaia series done right despite being underrated. Tiga and dyna is a great series but the plot advancement and pace feels weird and out of nowhere and Gaia series fix that problem. And then, other series started to have that problem again after gaia except mebius and cosmos, nexus got axed and cut to 37 episode. What I like about tiga is he is very iconic ultra. But its feels like modern classic ultraman in early heisei era. Like a reboot of OG ultraman series with new touch. But from plot aspect, its feels weird and doesn't really focus on earth destruction plot until the last arc come. The only memorable episode that touch the plot is kyrieloid, the plant monster that put to sleep and gatonozoa. Barely touch the plot and what makes this series great imo is because of the movie. The movie introduce very interesting lore for Ultraman universe. It took them nearly 20 years just to touch the story again with ultraman trigger. Dyna focus more on slice of life and character interaction imo. Each one of them feels lively and fun. We see a lot of Asuka backstory and interaction with other unlike daigo in tiga series. But the plot advancement is much worse in here. While tiga barely touch it, in dyna series they skip a lot of detail and just straightforward to the plot, for a younger audience this is fine but older its just feels weird. The reicubas(crab monster) arc is great but if only they make its longer so the story and make the pace better. If I am to describe, its like reading a writing but only in a summary instead of the whole things. But I guess its better than tiga which feels very lacking in plot while dyna just feels rush. And one thing for sure, the last arc is amazing, but its really should not be rushed and made in longer episode so its feels more complete. Gaia series literally fix all the problem and made it better. Too bad its underrated. I hope after ultraman trigger they explore and expand gaia universe. The new gen literally scrapped the old Ultraman concept and become its own things so its unfair to compare with old series.
While True About Nexus IMO Nexus is as close as you can get to "Ultraman Tiga" back in it day. For I have watch it. While my memory fail me a bit. When our "Hero" (with an S for story) say "Kizuna Nexus" that is as close we get to that scene in Ultraman Tiga........"People can become Light"

Cgi needs to burn a lot of money but what they did like old animes does aren't and the salary can be embezzled. You can see how the money in cgi is burned while old animes you don't know if the creators and staffs can even eat a decent lunch box

ガイアの第一話は歴代シリーズの中でも屈指の出来。
リアリティ重視の迫力ある映像に感動した。
子供の頃こういうのをリアルタイムで観れたのは贅沢なことだったんだと痛感
こういうメイキング映像って、普段は見られないスタッフの活躍が見られるし、ウルトラマンってこういう風に作られているのが分かるからとても良い。

ダイナから観始めたウルトラシリーズだけど、最初から最後まで観たのがガイアからだった。大人になった今でも時々観てはワクワクドキドキしている。
メイキングだと本編みたいな音響がないから、音による迫力の凄さがわかる
