One of Caine's character virtues appears to be mercy. He appears far more merciful than even JW, in the sense that he goes out of his way to try to avoid killing the cannon fodder when circumstances permit it. This was reflected throughout the Osaka Continental fight. His effort to parley with Koji is another reflection of his attempts at mercy.
I believe that John Wick is not dead given the ending being open to interpretation. I look forward to the next chapter when it happens & John Wick 4 was nothing short of outstanding.
Johns 20 pace shot was more damaging to blind guy, he was stumbling and said nice one when he got hit. Wick did not show as much damage. This further shows john was set to win but decided to spare his friend.
I rlly feel like they purposely went along just to get closer to Marquis after each round bc those guns tend to be inaccurate a lot of the time, but then again he is still John wick and he is still Caine so I’m betting at least John would’ve been able to hit that target
Loved Donnie Yen. I don't think we can have a John Wick 5 without Keanu. Maybe spinoff or prequels. But if he has in fact died it wouldn't be John Wick with Jojwn Wick himself. I believe he will survive because now his family has a spot on the High Table.
My theory is that Caine purposely gave up his eyes thinking he could retire, thinking that the high table wouldn't bother themselves with a blind man. Like John wick having to do an impossible task to get out in the first movie, Caine must have done something substantial as well. But considering how skilled he is while blind, he must have continued to work even after losing his sight. So I'm guessing either the table didn't accept his retirement, or like John he tipped his toes back in the water and got sucked back in.
I believe in order to rejoin the high table or taking a punishment from the high table you have to give something out for example john have to give his finger and wedding ring to the elder. I guess Caine broke some rule that is why he have to give up his eyes to protect his daughter. Once you break the rules, something is taken away like with Winston, he was stripped off his manager role, hotel was destroyed and his second man was killed, or with the King he gave john a gun and 7 bullet so he was slash multiple time by assassin, or Nobody inorder to join the high table he was stabbed in his hand. There are many instants.
“If I had a nickel for every time Donnie Yen plays a badass Blind guy who is both proficient in Gun and Hand to hand combat, I would have two nickels. Not a lot but -weird- awesome that it happened twice”
Caine on my opinion is the most dangerous assassin in John Wick Franchise movie. If he wasn't blind he would beat John Wick no question about it. He knows John Wick so well and that is a very big plus. But on the duel part both are almost equal but John Wick I think has a bigger advantage but he does not really plan to kill Caine at the start of the duel because his an old friend a true friend who is just force to fight him against his will for the sake of his daughter. It's also a way of thanking him for saving his life many times before the duel. Caine / Donnie Yen has been my idol for decades. His one of my favorite along side Jet Lee. I watched most his movies during my teenage and adult years. Salute to his superb performance on this movie and Also Mr. John Wick himself. I highly recommend this movie....the best so far for me in the John Wick Movie franchise.....I hope thier will still be a another John Wick movie and that movie will include Mr. Caine and other old time characters and explain everything and really put the real ending of this movie franchise 👍💪👊👌👏🥰🇵🇭
Honestly there are many assassin that may match Caine for example Marcus in the first movie, he have many opportunities to kill john wick, if he wanted to he would have kill him easily, he stalked his prey and find the right opportunity to snipe, or the Shinobi brothers they technically defeated john wick, they gave john wick two chance to live because they want to test out their skill.
Caine is probably helping John fake being dead to evade the High Table. As for the High Table, beginning with the 2nd movie, Media Zealot should cover them in one of their "Too Stupid..." videos. The High Table's marker obligated John to kill... then he was condemned to death for fulfilling that obligation. John being excommunicated from that hotel for killing on its grounds made sense... but the High Table marking John for death, no matter his choice in the marker obligation, was just plain stupid.
Donnie Yen is always amazing in every film he’s in. But I think he finally got to shine to the world and mainstream audiences with JW4. Same with Scott Adkins they deserve accolades and recognition after this film. But I love Caine’s honour. He could of let the assassins wipe John Wick out before sunrise and he would automatically have his debt to the High Table, without any risk to him. But he decided to help his friend to the top of the stairs to an eventual duel that he knew would potentially result in his own death. I can’t wait for a Caine spinoff film. Donnie can easily carry his own franchise.
Nah... Zatoichi can see with his ears. Caine clearly cannot, and has to compensate using educated guess work, clever tricks and techniques, and extrapolation.
I have a feeling that Caine was the impossible task John Wick did. It was mentioned in John Wick 1. John Wick tend not to kill friends, can be seen many times from John Wick 1-4.

This was reflected throughout the Osaka Continental fight. His effort to parley with Koji is another reflection of his attempts at mercy.
I forgot he was in Blade!! Donnie Yen is a beast!
Yeah, but he died way too fast and easy
@@nathancarabajal8271 he was still a jobber back then .
Donnie Yen would never pretend to be blind because it would completely undermine his honour, ruining the character.
But yet he did that in the movie. At least there was attention to detail when he checked the chamber of his pistol with his finger.
This is the 2nd movie that he's played a Blind man. And he was badass both times. First In Rogue one, now here.
I believe that John Wick is not dead given the ending being open to interpretation. I look forward to the next chapter when it happens & John Wick 4 was nothing short of outstanding.
The ending is definitive. It's not an open ending.
Bro was a badass the gambling part killed me when he looked at his cards 😂
Johns 20 pace shot was more damaging to blind guy, he was stumbling and said nice one when he got hit. Wick did not show as much damage. This further shows john was set to win but decided to spare his friend.
Yeah thats responsibility because of him yoshi is dead and caine force back to a work that he despise the most to be an assasin again
True. John wick could have easily killed Caine in many situations but he didn’t
I rlly feel like they purposely went along just to get closer to Marquis after each round bc those guns tend to be inaccurate a lot of the time, but then again he is still John wick and he is still Caine so I’m betting at least John would’ve been able to hit that target
He is blind. He throws a flash grenade and all the opponents are blinded but him because he is already blind. It was genius tactically speaking.
No chance Caine can see. Explain the scene with John remaining silent on the floor directly in from of Caine.
I loved Caine
In initial sequence , you could see him following a no-kill code . only disarming men with his skills .
I need his spinoff
“John are you dead?? “ Had me laughing
Loved Donnie Yen. I don't think we can have a John Wick 5 without Keanu. Maybe spinoff or prequels. But if he has in fact died it wouldn't be John Wick with Jojwn Wick himself. I believe he will survive because now his family has a spot on the High Table.
Caine was daredevil, Killa was kingpin
John Wick is The Punisher
Koji is The Ra's Al Ghul
And Vincent is The Mandarin
his Cantonese one line at the poker table was pretty awesome
Yeah finally a character who can match Wick move for move, so much appreciated.
I freakn love donnie yen in the movie
Donnie was awesome in this. The whole thing was awesome
We need a Cain spin off.
When you see him and Keanu's fight scenes back to back on the steps, the difference in fluidity of movements really stand out.
I like how John Wick got friends that got his back regardless of the situation, those are friends u die for. ❤
Outstanding franchise 😎🤘
Donnie Yen is one of those actors we need right now
Great movie! Cinematography was gorgeous and I love all the actors.
Nice
Yens acting in this was beyond perfection, his fluid movement made him unpredictable an looked fxckin boss 🙏
“If I had a nickel for every time Donnie Yen plays a badass Blind guy who is both proficient in Gun and Hand to hand combat, I would have two nickels. Not a lot but -weird- awesome that it happened twice”
He's one with the Force.
Caine being blind is the way they nerfed him
Actually this blind version would take down an entire army of soldiers. I don’t know what you are taking about 😂
They always nerf that dude in American movies…In StarWars he’s also blind too 🤦♂️
@@kevOneTooTreegive him a lightsaber and Luke wouldnt have anybody to fight when he become a jedi
Caine and other old time characters and explain everything and really put the real ending of this movie franchise 👍💪👊👌👏🥰🇵🇭
what's with all the god damn emojis man
@@vvinters. walang basagan ng trip man 😁
Honestly there are many assassin that may match Caine for example Marcus in the first movie, he have many opportunities to kill john wick, if he wanted to he would have kill him easily, he stalked his prey and find the right opportunity to snipe, or the Shinobi brothers they technically defeated john wick, they gave john wick two chance to live because they want to test out their skill.
What is left now is for them now to make a spin-off movie on him. THE BLIND MAN KANE.
donnie yen did a great job in his role. Michael jai white and jason statham should be in the next one.
Inspired from the Japanese character zatoichi. He is a blind master swordsman. Caine also holds his sword and fights the same way zatoichi does.

Donnie yen what a total bad ass couldn't get enough of his unadulterated bad assery😊😊
Donnie can easily carry his own franchise.
nah, the terms of his contract meant that he had to kill john wick in the duel so him and his daughter would be free
When he told the high table to fk off 😂
Saw the movie today. Best JW yet!!!!!
I love the Caine character! I have been a fan of Donnie Yen since his role in Highlander Endgame.
Caine seems like a supercharged Zatoichi on Super-Soldier Serum!
Nah... Zatoichi can see with his ears. Caine clearly cannot, and has to compensate using educated guess work, clever tricks and techniques, and extrapolation.
just saw john wick chapter 4 today in HongKong. I couldn't believe Donnie was a mega star in it alongside Keanu Reaves ad well
Dolor (Undisputed 3) Origins.
VIDEO TITLE: Blind Assassin Cain Origins
VIDEO CONTENT: Rundown of Caine's actions in the movie, and NOTHING about his origin.
These are brilliant .
I have a feeling that Caine was the impossible task John Wick did. It was mentioned in John Wick 1.
John Wick tend not to kill friends, can be seen many times from John Wick 1-4.
just saw it a few minutes ago! loved it!
100% believe Caine is a better assassin than John if he had sight back
Donnie Yen’s style, his movement and flair was so slick, smooth… incredible.
What can you say about Cain he was his own babayaga the blind boogie man we've all had that nightmare 😡 running from the monster that doesn't need eyes to find you 😳
I couldn’t help but chuckle when I saw that his pistol of choice is a customized Sig P365 SAS. That’s a clever pick for a blind man.
KENSHI of Mortal kombat ⚔ ? Scorpion 🦂 is here too (Hanzo Hasashi) 😅😅😅✌️👍🍻🥃😎
Keanu gave praise to Donnie yen, Scott Adkins, and the guy who played Scorpion in the mortal kombat remake for being legit martial artists who act, while he's not like them but was happy to work with them
Hiroyki Sanada
@@madddoggnogood1491 thank you. Couldn't remember his name to save my life
John Could’ve Killed Cane.. But John Saw The Bigger picture. His true target , was Marquis. Why leave this earth 🌎 knowing your opponent is still living. John Was actually smart & Winston himself knew John full potential
As a fellow blind person the other senses become heightened so much so its like having vision on other parts of the body
Nice joke Ur not blind 🗿
@@royalkakarot3628 no joke big dawg
@@royalkakarot3628 I mean he’s not wrong. If you put a blind person in a dark room that person will find his way better than a person with eyes and no flashlight. Look it up I forgot what it’s called but there are blind people that can for example concentrate on things we tend not to concentrate with our own eyes. It doesn’t mean they can dodge bullets or stuff it’s just that since they ain’t got eyes they compensate 😂
@@royalkakarot3628 for example in a dark room there are studies that bats can use echolocation to find their way through. Same with blind dudes they can hear sounds better than us and they use that to find their way through a dark place. Impressive but still no blind person would beat me in any trivia game 😂
if u argue about Caine's move doesn't fit with real life, don't forget how tanky John is 😂😂😂 he is almost Superman
John has the best plot armor a man can have, but he still uses guns. To say he’s almost like Superman is a huge statement.
He definitely has stamina and endurance beyond that of Wolverine. Even Chad Stahelski joked about him having an adamantium spine due to taking all those falls.
This isn't the origins of a character this is a recap of the film. No mention of spoilers I wanted to watch information on a character before I even watched the film. 😢😅
Donnie yen Is a living legend protect this man at all cost
Caine just looks like his a man who regretted everything. I don't think his blind, I think he just no longer want to see what his doing anymore.
Donnie is still fast and agile! Not an easy feast for somebody who is almost 60! And hell he don't look a bit like he's almost 60!
Just imagine is John was actually a member of this high table.
Man had me dying eating his soup in the middle of the blood shed 😂
This was a great movie!
i just love the way that they call each other name ~ XDDDD
So basically, Caine is the equivalent of daredevil from marvel.
Honestly, yeah, Caine seems superhuman at times, Lol. Oh well, it's a fun movie.
Donnie Yen is just IT! Have followed him since his beginning. It I have to say one of my fav movie of his is Ice Man …I have two favorites of his. Actually, I stand corrected…I just like all his movies… lol
They got Caine looking like an Agent from The Matrix
