Korg B2 Review and Demo. This is a pretty interesting new digital piano from Korg. It is the replacement for the Korg B1 and there are some really great new features. Stick around for complete sound demos halfway through the video.
Thanks to Keyboard Corner for lending me this demo unit.

I'm in love! Piano is great too, think I'll pick one up finally. I've been looking at it for a while.
I bought it half year ago, and works really well. No problems with it, I didnt regret!
Thank you for this. Such a well done review and so helpful for first time buyers
Great review, well done. Going to get one based on your review.
great video mate :) your video helped me to make up my mind that this digital piano is for me.
Thank you for the very informative content. I probably gonna have this korg!
I love this keyboard! I was at a technology shop today and I came across this keyboard and I played it and I loved it! I might get it for Christmas. Toys video helped me a lot, thanks! I will subscribe because I find your videos very helpful.
hi, and what can you report about the keys, if the fingers slipper or it stable during a rapid playing?
Your review was instrumental (har har) in my decision to buy a B2 yesterday 👍🏼 As a beginner I wanted a piano that sounds good, feels nice and doesn't have to many distracting features. I also like the clean design. I believe it's fairly easy to wire up the Korg pedal connector to a generic "jack" pedal should the original pedal ever give out...
Cool review. You're a really good player. I've been playing guitar for a while but always enjoyed piano and I've been mulling over buying a keyboard.
This keyboard is a viable option I think.
Thanks again for your review.
What I did for the layering is connect it to my iPad and using KORG apps/GarageBand to have a dual voices.
bless you for this.
Thank you this intresting review about this piano. I want to buy it, so tis is the reason why I watched your video.
Just got it! Love it!!
thank you so much for the review. thinking of getting this for my 12 year old daughter. thumbs up for mentioning the proprietary pedal connection
Glad to help 🙂
Wish that my father would also be like you.
Truly want to buy this one but my father will never give me this.
The Casio keyboard which I am having now is also the gift of my aunt not purchased by my father.
😭😭😭
@@KeyboardTalks does this piano have Aux out? Can i connect it to an amplifier?
Thank You ! Informative. Well explained. The Pros Cons and.... a useful instrument review for beginners.
Helped me to decide on this model.
Best wishes!
What do u think of purchasing the accessory with 3 pedals to use instead of the standard included single pedal??
Thank you for this! Blessings
Thanks 🙌🏻

Great review!!
wonderful review! thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!

Tried this at a shop today. It's too basic for my needs, but I'm seriously impressed with what you get for the money.
Excellent review, very helpful.
Thank you 👍🏻
I have this keyboard and i love it! I am not a beginner piano player- i use it for gigs and recording all of my own songs (georgia renee music). Thank you for the breakdown!
sweet review! thank you :)
Thank you so much for the review, I'm thinking of buying it, I played for years on keyboards and never had a digital piano. I'm always undecided which one I'll buy, yamaha, roland, casio, etc but I think this time you helped me decide it, Subscribed
I have the same dilemma. Same choice. May I ask what you got in the end?
Hey this is such a good review. I've been thinking about buying this because you mentioned the MIDI direct input into the computer without any audio interface. Just quick question, does the USB come in with the package or is it a separate purchase?
Excellent video!! Regards from Argentina
Awesome review outstanding

i have used korg for a while now, i just wish there was more you could do with it, i guess for the price it’s good but korg is really stepping up their game. i use the sp300 it isn’t the best but still has a great sound
I think audio/midi out is a great idea - stick this in my laptop and add in some vst's and that's awesome for live or recording.
Totally agree!
great presentation buddy going off to JB to buy one !
I have this digital piano, my parents give me it today and yes its wonderful
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching.
That detuned Harpsichord is great for The Addams Family soundtrack 😂
Thanks for the review. I just wonder whether it could be interconnected to other Korg PA Series arranger as well. Will the connection will be through MIDI or it could be using USB directly?
Great review mate, thank you!
謝謝您如此詳細用心地介紹~

Thanks for your review, greatly appreciated. I wanted to ask you one question: how are the keys in terms of slide-ability? Can you slide along the keys smoothly just as with ivory keys? For example, slide from C7 to C3? I can't seem to find information on this online. Hope to hear :)
I want to learn piano, but I also want a digital piano to use with my AKAI Pro MPCX. Would the Korg B2 we a good piano for both of these? Or should I save a bit longer for something with more connectivity (Midi in/out)?
Hello, thank you for this great video ! Can you please tell us what is the support that you are using for this piano ?
Hi thanks for the review !
As you cycle through different sounds by pressing the sound button, Is there any way to get back to the previous sound ?
I believe that clicking of sound button only moves in forward direction
Also how is B2 compared to LP380 ?
That quick playing at 1:45 was too short it sounded so good, I kept running it back!😊
Its Debussy "Clair de Lune"
@@luispinheirodosmontes7219 Thankss!
Hi, i am looking for the best key action between: Yamaha P515, Roland FP90 and Kawai ES8, and why?...
How do you change sound and how know what sound you are on in the bank? It might be hard to Hear the difference beteende the different piano sounds for example.
Heyy great video! Is it possible to know the name of all the tracks you played? I would love to play them on my Korg!
Hi nice post does it give decent sound connected to external amplifier from headphone line out? Much noise or distortion? Wish they could have put in proper line outs regards Isaac
Good review. Like that deficiencies are also mentioned clearly. Helpful.
Yeah awesome for the price! I got one!
Thanks to you I ordered one and I don't even know how to play. LOL. Well, I've always wanted to learn so hopefully it's not too late for a 70 year old man. Thanks for the review.
Well, thank you for that! You certainly helped me to make my mind up and I have now ordered a B2 from and online dealer in the UK for only £285.00 (560AD at today's rate) I haven't broken the news to my wife as yet, but with twelve guitars stored away in the attic, I'm guessing she's not going to be well pleased..........
Graham Humpage First congrats for your new piano😍!! Umm second could you plz give the dealer website if there is. And is this dealer shipping for a Middle East countries?
@@norah1543 Good morning Norah, I used a company online by the name of Music Matters. Excellent communication skills and attention to customer service. As to whether they ship to the Middle East, I am not aware, but I'm sure if you contact them they will respond pretty quickly.
Graham Humpage Great! Thanks
Where did you order it from buddy? As I can only find it for £350.
Hey awesome review!!! Can you help me? I was thinking if I can connect the usb to a laptop to use a VST and hear the sounds of the VST thru the Korgs built in speakers. That would be great! And I was thinking if there will be some problems with latency. Again, thanks! (sorry for my english!)
SHould I buy the korg sp-280, or the B2?
Just bought one, eagerly awaiting the courier to deliver it! 😎
what's your opinion?
2yrs later any return on experience?
@@VerhaalvontuurI love it! Use it as my midi controller keyboard too.
Good video, btw which stand you have used in the the video.
Can I buy a universal pedal for this? or do I h have to use a Korg specific pedal?
I am between the B2 and the Liano for first Piano. what would be better especially to use as MIDI?
Great review, mate!
As a KORG dealer and long time fan of the brand, it's a real shame most people in the US are not willing to spend the money on one of these. Over here they go for $750. I usually end up selling for under $700 to finally get rid of them. Never make the money I'm supposed to. I still believe in the brand and their great line of digital pianos. Ty
HI does the Korg B2 have drum samples? If so is it studio worthy?
I don’t know whether to buy the korg b2 or the Yamaha p45 can anyone tell me which one is better or sounds better??
I’m planning to use digital piano, more like 88 keys MIDI controller with some additional knobs and faders like Monogram. What is the space over speakers? Is it possible to set there a laptop and some controllers? Thank you.
I just placed a smoking deal on this 325$ mint condition. This video really helped me make my choice.
Are you happy with your purchase? Thinking of buying it tomorrow
great review. has the poliphony been a hindrance in your testing of this piano? personally between the B2 and the Privia 160, but the more I learn about each piano in that price range(including the P45 and FP-10), the more analysis paralysis i get.
This has 120 polyphony which should not be a hindrance. The P45 only has 64 which is a bit low for 2020.
How long should it take for the on button to work? When I turn it off and on, it doesn't turn on immediately.
Sounds good, i've been a long time looking for a digital piano. This might be the one. Not so basic as as n 45 and cheaper than an p 125.
I've got one, it's a great pick ;)
@@arieltm1193 it's still good?
is this better than p45 thx
How well does it work with Garage Band?
Thanks for sharing! Question: are the texture of the keys slippery or do they have some grip? Like say a Roland fp-10 has?
On a slippery scale, I'd give it a 7/10 a bit too slippery
this gonna work with fl studio?
nice review ...pls music at the end?
Korg b2 vs roland fp10?
is it better than yahama p45?
Have you heard of the NUX WK 310, really want to know your opinion on this if you had your hands on it.
Can you tell me which cable I need to order to connect my iphone/ipad with the Korg B2 for use with the module?
Like the series
Can you overcome polyphony if u connect it to pc and vst ?the sound in this scenario gonna come out of my monitors or piano speakers?
The MIDI function is compatible only with MAC or also with Windows?
How do I adjust the metronomes timing?
How does this compare with say the Kawai ES110 or Yamaha P125?
I loved electrc piano
If I wanted to record music would I be able to connect/sink it to my Mac Book Air?
hello. I would like to ask you if the Liano grand piano sound contains loop sampling to produce a prolonged sustain. I would also like to ask about the semi-heavy keyboard. is it the same as the chrome ex model? thank you
Is there a reverb option in this piano
Are those the Audio Technica M-50 headphones?
Hey there! Great video! I really like this piano too and I’m trying to use it for recording purposes.. I’m pretty novice at piano and midi instruments.. I’m super frustrated though.. I have tried a bunch of times to figure out how to get it to record via USB cable but the only thing that happens is that it winds up playing the recording on the keyboard speakers.. I have tried a bunch of stuff in both Cakewalk and Reaper and I cannot get the piano to record or play through my headphones. I am a skilled amateur at recording and feel like I’ve tried everything. Can you offer any suggestions? (This also goes for other commenters as well)
Hi! What is better Korg b2 or Casio px1100 or Yamaha p145...?
What model stand are you using in this video?
Please help with the transpose button
Can you actually reset it?
Did they add a 1/4 in jack to this one?
Splitting and layering features not required on gigs because of audio over USB? Many of us are very reluctant to take computers to our gigs. There's not even a separate line-out on the B2. You have to use the headphone socket, so that probably cancels your onboard speakers and makes it hard to find compatible cables which are long enough.
The sound and action are pretty good, but I prefer the Alesis Prestige which I have tested alongside the B2.
If you're stage oriented, like me, you might prefer the Korg D1. It has a better action a simple screen, a strong build and controls close to hand. Line outputs of course. It still has no keyboard split, and has no speakers, but it does have legacy MIDI connectors, which are better for gigs than USB is.
7:32 You do not need an audio interface device or drivers to record music onto your computer
This was big, i just ordered it and thought this would be an issue.
I'm a complete beginner so thought it would be nice if i could send records to a friend of mine or even play live online.
This makes it much more simpler!
Hey, great review!! Btw can you tell me where I can buy your mic stand?
Hey John - it's Konig and Meyer KM 25400. My friends at KC's in Melbourne sell it - www.keyboardcorner.com.au/konig-meyer-25400-boom-arm-mic-stand-black/
How does to compares to the Roland p10?
Is harpsichord completely bad? I was thinking about playing piano mostly and harpsichord sometimes, would be disappointing if it is no good at all.
I wanna learn how to play so am looking for which one to get.
Do I need to hook it up to a laptop or can I play it normally?
hey im planning to learn the piano as a beginner and slowly work my way up to more advanced repertoire. Is the action on this good enough for me to transition to an acoustic at some point without too much difficulty? Im really torn between this and the fp10.
Hey the action is definitely great for transitioning. I have the B2 and an acoustic piano and the transition is fairly seamless. GL.
So you can use it also as a midi controller? Thanks for the review, I was looking for a digital piano for not much money and this one looks perfect.
Yes you can!
@@itskathyaaaa thx :)
The B2 is definitely an amazing midi keyboard and I love the weighted keys. But as a music producer, I don't find the tone of the piano presets to be desirable in really anything I've worked on besides lofi (which I don't make much of). I usually just stick to using it to control VST's.
But does it feel pleasant for midi and recording??? cause thats my primary goal
@@channelmagenta8721 Been a while since I made this comment. The tones of the piano presets actually aren't that bad if you know what to use them for, and the keys are actually way too weighted. In the 11 months since this comment, I've played other keyboards as well as multiple real upright pianos and I hadn't realized how ridiculously weighted the Korg B2 is. I have an upright at home and not even that has keys as heavy as the B2. Also, the audio has begun distorting when you put the volume low which is a problem
@@irbomusic alright Thank you for the quick responce. I just need a keyboard with midi that feels real to play with speakers in so i Can practice without turning on the pc. Got any other keyboard options you would like to share??? It would be greatly appreciated!
@@channelmagenta8721 Sorry, I don't know any good ones. I assume Yamaha or other Korg keyboards would be worth researching
@@lespetitszoiseaux3774 I just find the extra weight unnecessary and counterintuitive when playing chords really fast or tremolo
Is the key action of this B2 lighter, similar or heavier than, say, a Yamaha or a Roland?
I have a Roland and the action is lighter than on Yamaha digital pianos. In fact, as far as I'm aware, the action of the Yamahas is the heaviest on the market.
Great review, it helped me a lot. Now I've been non stop trying to find out what song is that at 1:45 and I keep going around looking in Moby's discography but I just can't find it. Would you be a hero and let me know what it is??? Get me out of this accute case of musical OCD!!!
No worries, I've found the piece you play there! Its Debussy, Clair de Lune! Wow, two days of search and in the end I found it by accident while listening to your coleague youtuber and pianist Rousseau.
I'd love to know what ur playing on the first piano - German piano
