  • Yes, it's another Honda Civic, but this one is a little bit different... This is the new 2019 Honda Civic Saloon. It has a longer boot, a slightly lower roof, a bit more weight and different, softer suspension. Is it any good?

    Hey, love the videos! I think this channel is great! Where on earth do you get all these cars from though - what kind of a guy your age has access to multiple types of McLaren!!??

      Thank you very, very much. Glad you enjoy them! They all come from the manufacturers, and it's been a gradual process over several years. You're right though, it is a massive privilege, something I would have never dreamed possible!

    Enjoyable review of this interesting Civic development but I would have liked to see the boot shown with capacity and ease of access/flexibility assessment. Do the seats fold down to accommodate long items? Car looks handsome from the side. I agree with your verdict on Honda's infotainment systems - about time they got their act together!

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. We focus on how the car drives, but the boot is pretty big and yes the seats do fold down. Infotainment needs modernising, it just feels old!

      @@iamjonathanng6657 Clearly this is an improvement on my wife's new Jazz which lacks Apple CarPlay, but I do find the Honda system obstructive and cumbersome. Most reviewers find it archaic by modern standards,

      No problem - thank you for the comment! Sorry it doesn't have an Australian V8...

    Very good review. Did you say 80mpg?

    The first thing I noticed was the body colour (brilliant sporty blue metallic). I've seen this colour on the road and in show rooms, and it looks far brighter and deeper (and sportier) than shown in this video.

    Great car - I have a Jazz, but the 1 litre or diesel looks great. The saloon looks just a bit sleeker.

    Not up to your usual review standards...
    spent too long saying “it’s not a type R”and “it’s the same as any other civic”.
    Would be good to focus more on the detail of actual car and include some more relevant bits like footage of boot in this instance.

    Here (Canada), Sedan is a 2.0L 6MT with heated seat, climate control, android auto /apple play for same price as a basic Corolla Hatchback.

    Looks good. It would have been good to see the difference in the boot.

    in my country we only get the sedan with the 1.8 for the base model and the 1.5T for the more expensive ones

    • @newmotoring
      @newmotoring  5 лет назад

      1.8? We don't get that engine at all any more! 1.5 is a very good engine.
