but it's sad because lots of the plants and natural biodiversity is going extinct because of slash and burn agriculture. lots of big Korean companies are buying land to mass produce rice and Malagasy people also are contributing to the environment loss. Soon Madagascar will be just like a desert with no trees, it's sad :(
Perfectly complete video. Great story with lot of elements by side. I love that "Don't be sold" sign on instrument on 6:45. So guys don't be! Thank you for sharing this awesomeness with us! Peace

when you edited those lemurs in, narrating your story, i could tell this was going to be a good video.. not typical "climbing i'm so tough" video, you have a whimsical..ness to you, awesome job!!
I loved this. The part explaining about changing underwear and putting in more bolts was classic. I actually never knew how they did that--makes perfect sense now!

Great music, great footage, great editing, great film! I always found this O' Driscoll character very likeable, now even more so. I thought he was Irish but he appears to be speaking Dutch or Flemish here....
That's funny. In urdu theirs a similar saying It's "aistha, aistha" which also translates to "slowly slowly". I guess us westerners need to learn to slow things down a bit haha
What a great little film 👍 I really enjoyed your comments ans well as the camera work. And you're all filming it by yourself? 😲 That must be quite exhausting, right? We are going to climb all 180 summits above 2000m in the state of Bavaria/Germany this year in July and August and we are going to film everything by ourselfes as well. Yet we don't know how to cover everything properly and do all summits safely but this was quite an inspiration! btw, Sean: I've seen your Film "Dodo's Delight" at the Reel Rock Film Tour and EOFT - I think it was maybe the best movie of the entire festival! Best, Alex
Hey man! Good luck with your 180 summits, and maybe keep us updated about that? How do you intend to do them? By the classic route, by a climbing/mountaineering route, or maybe both? (I confirm that Dodo's Delight is freakin' awesome! :D )
Hey Loup, thanks a lot, buddy! 👍 We keep you updated: a new vlog will be online later that evening 😉 I gonna talk a little bit about the excitement of doing it and what's t We planned the routes independent of the official routes since we have to link many summits together. So we will try to take shortcuts as much as possible, i.e. abseiling from one summit to get to the path to the other summit, going over ridges between summits whereas most people don't link them but climb them spererately. I will go deeper into that in another vlog, thanks for the idea to cover that topic 🤘
Looks like you guys could greatly benefit from a MSR Windburner with a hanging system for portaledge meals. Cooking with the whisper light in your lap looks super sketchy.
What the fuck Petzl?! No goddamn drones?! No film crew?! Seriously, though, these guys are fantastic. Love the camera hanging from a draw. You must have a brazillian hours of footage from those.
Sean V-O'D is the kind of guy who does everything by himself, even the filming... I'm pretty sure he would dismiss any kind of crew that ain't part of his climbing team!! And I'd say that it makes the movies he produces even more enjoyable! ;)
His point is that they're very wealthy and could easily afford those things to make an even higher quality video. I'm pretty sure he knows that they're a climbing/hiking gear company.
the entire time i was watching this my hands were extremely sweaty, i felt very uncomfortable, and had a funny feeling in my legs LOL. fuck this! i hate heights! this is crazy impressive and as someone said, only a select few deserve to see and experience that kind of beauty
Well you need to learn about earth! In few regions the tetonic plates which were horizontal became vertical due to major, earthquake this happened long back.

I appreciate that trad gear for at least this line or piece of wall looks somewhat useless. So I'd like to know, did they obtain permission by the locals / local authorities to drill into the walls? Will they (or at least Petzl sponsored climbers) go back to maintain those bolts?
man i gotta admit, this is a experience only a few deserves
Judging by your comment you're not one of them.

I have visited Madagascar in 2014. One of my favorite country in the world. Lovely people, unique landscape and lots of endemic plants and animals.

Love this, just wondering why it was shot in such a low frame rate, so jumpy
5 days of footage each time they went up the wall is a fair bit in any frame rate.
those scenes were using motion cameras. they left them when setting then picked them up on the route. they don't record as good quality.
That's awesome😍 made me feel what it looks like to be up there, the fear and the thrill, then a big smile appeared on my face. THANKS💕
OMG!!!! I feel sick..These guys have balls of steel..loved watching every second of it and I’m not a climber. I’m also shit scared of heights too.
You know i watched your video alot of times but i never bore with it...
Question ?- how do they move on from this hanging shelf while packing away their all their gear etc??? brilliant filming -thank you -
