Dude, that washout cave was awesome. Simply the best. I love places like that. Years ago I was living in Nevada. We hiked into a huge red sandstone slot canyon. Climbed up to a similar washout cave like yours and set camp. A rare small rainstorm came and the slot filled a couple feet deep with rushing water for a few hours. So cool. I’ll never forget it. I used to fish off super high break walls in the great lakes. We used a net on a telescoping paint roller extension and it worked wonders for everything up to large salmon.

When you zoomed out with the drone, the cave you’re in looks like the eye of a giant whale or fish and the massive cliff looks like the body and head
    Super cool!

Washington State, USA here. Chef Instructor once told me she was catering a fishing event on a coastal campground. one of the attendants caught a massive salmon and she sashimi'd the entire fish, snacking along the way. After 30 minutes, she felt nauseous and threw up violently in the bushes. The worms weren't visible in the raw red meat, but she could see em writhing on the ground in her sick.

Just have a third line on a capstan style release, and lower it down in stages. A 10lb weight can hold way more that 1000lb with a capstan. The capstan does not need to revolve or be powered, it is something you would wrap a rope around twice to lower a load.
